Really enjoyed this one. Great example of the “reveal” shot bringing the lake into view. And better yet, incorporating each of the examples into one video telling the story of a man and his bike, complete with powerful and thrilling music playing as background for the video. I just purchased this drone, and I like it! But there are pros and cons. On the positive side, it does most of what it says it does; on the negative side, there is only a 10 or 12-minute battery life, even though it comes with two batteries, and it takes up to 4 hours to charge 1 battery. I see the advertising showing people getting followed on their bikes; I guess the bike ride is less than 10 minutes long. There is minimal instruction on how to use it; also, when sharing the video or picture, it's not as clear as the original. I had to research CZcams to find out how to work things; with that being said, I give it a 7.5 out of 10 rating.
10 mins is actually not bad for a drone..
Hi. Thame sharing part is my number 1 concern especially that I mainly take videos for social media so that means VERTICAL VIDEOS. Is it true the quality if vertical videos taken by hover x1 is of lower quality?

EST practical review I’ve seen from the pov of the sort of person who’d buy one.
Excellent and thanks I did end up buying one as a fast antidote to endless intrusion messing about with dji controllers etc. I love the dji for a number of reasons but not for day out blogging.

Best review I have seen of this. Very cool ! Unfortunately where I live, ride, etc is very forested, not wide open. I think this old crash into obstacles constantly. If it also had obstacle avoidance it would be a much better product.

With that static follow hover mode, do you know how far away from it you can get & it will still track you as long as you stay in frame?
I’ve don’t know the exact distance but in the video I do ride the bike at a fair distance and it has no issues following me.
With this camera, try to keep sun at the cameras back to best light up the subject…

Too bad there is no gesture to tell it to take a picture instead of a video like there was on the DJI Air 1 "smart gesture" mode.

Where does the footage files go and how do you access them ? Through the app ?
They are stored on the drone you can either download to your phone or connect to a computer

Can you use the 30 Watt Charger to accelerate Charging Time?
I’ve not actually tried I tend to just plug it into my power bank takes around 35 minutes to charge which is perfect for me as I have two batteries, so while one is charging in my bag I am using the drone with my second battery,
Have you ever gotten corrupted video while downloading? If yes were you able to fix it
No never had that issue.
What software di you use to edit and how do you transfer data sd card?
I use Final Cut Pro to edit and I just connect the hover to the computer to download the footage.

Hi iam just using the phone to fly the drone, I use the rode wireless go as the mic and the receiver connects to the phone, hope that helps.

The receiver to the phone uses a certain cable can you tell me the specs
