    Yup. Shirley didn't transition well as an actress to older kid parts. The old formulas just didn't work anymore. But she had bigger and better things in her future than B teen films - her accomplishments as an adult were phenomenal! :)

    It's great to see some familiar faces, such as child actors Darryl Hickman (Leave Her to Heaven, 1945) and Bobbie Anderson (young George Bailey in It's a Wonderful Life). I had no idea before today that this movie existed. Thanks for posting!

    Once again, "they don't make 'em like that anymore. That song lifted my mood like nothing else.

    Speaker: In the court house, the golden blond, brown girl, that was painted in the picture frame, that looked like the original Dutchess, Shirley Temple that a black lady has on her thumb, but some how she happened to be just a tad bit whiter, maybe Australian, with hazel eyes, if any body who was not white laid back on a Sunday, she would somewhat complete that individual, somehow wiping out on every body, she was probably in her middle 40’s, now they have replaced her, with so many seashells, she is barley recognized. But if you just walked in to a room, and it just sat up like that, and you completed it, she was some what, “sweep the floor”, “ you gotta do something”, “get out of the house”, “ go for a walk to get some fresh air”, “ you need to find a job”, some what 45 minutes later. She somewhat had something in common with that, when she was alive she would report certain cultures who was a fill in for what was in her mind at the time, “some whites only thing”. Any situation in which a person relied on some one else, a fill in for whites only in her mind, she was the reason why Kkk members ambushed you, and followed you making your life miserable.

    This is my daughter, Annie Laurie Ferguson, performing as Shirley Temple in this movie which Grandfather Hughes made in the 1980's to prove she was my daughter of Loretta Burris Ferguson and Austin Lee Ferguson born 1982. I am Shirley Temple, Loretta Burris Ferguson. The US Government made this app to make you think

    Great tap dancer but her singing needs a lot of work. She's no Garland in that department.

    • @SnowdropWood
      @SnowdropWood Před 3 lety +2

      And Judy was a great singer but her tap dance needed a lot of work. She was no Temple in that department. See the issue? Both of them are long since grown up and returned to dust. The studios tore them to pieces pitting them against each other when they were young, and did a lot of damage in the process. There is no call for us to keep doing it now.

    so bad that it's good, we see that some formulas don't work, and the 40's decade changed that (the war, etc.)
