    ABOUT THIS VIDEO
    ====================
    In this video I talk about the problems I've had with the iKamper Annex for the BDV Tent. After contacting iKamper for refund, I was told since the product is "used" it can not be returned. Take caution buying this product!

    I just got the BDV and the annex. My experience was different. Luckily, I access the tent on the RHS so I didn't have the embuggerance of having to work out that it wasn't going to work on the LHS. That would have thrown me too... and by the time I worked out the cryptographic instructions I would have been looking for the nearest bin. The absence of a floor may be a pain, but on the plus side... the annex was so bulky and complicated to set up in the wind, a separate floor is a dog-send. What I like about the annex it is how spacious it is. I was able to fit a decent sized table, chair and lots of stuff inside. The annex was what sold me on the BDV. My other RTT was a GentleTent inflatable, with annex. The annex gives you a change room, a place to store your clothes, rather than leaving them in the back of the car, and privacy when you clamber up the ladder to bed and back down the ladder to have an early morning slash. I'm going to make a fitted floor for the annex. Going out past the flaps at the bottom of the walls and cut in to allow the pegs to be screwed in. I like the wall at the back, stopping people from seeing my bare bum through the open car door. The problem I do have is .... the annex is now lying on the floor of my lounge room and I can't work out how to fold it up and squeeze it back into the bag. I've tried a couple of times, but it's like an oversized origami puzzle and I haven't yet worked out the folds.

      Great comment there. It’s certainly great for all the things you mentioned. Luckily for me I’m so remote I never need the privacy. Maybe I’ll give it one more try now that I’ve done it once. How did you get the door flap poles to work? I couldn’t get them taller.

    You should just do what I do with mine (Bushveld 4): Buy it and leave it in its original packaging. It works this way ever time.

    I would return that bronco add on tent and just use a normal tent with a floor.

      Normally we use a ground tent for both of us. Thought this would be a good solution. I tried to return the Annex but iKamper said because it was used, they will not accept the return. I've had it for sale on craigslist for 6 months :( iKamper is not the best with customer service. The BDV Rooftop Tent is awesome though!

    I would also ditch that add on tent. Install an ARB or Ironman4x4 awning and attach either brand of room tent.
    Both have floors, lots of screen window area that can be covered with install zippered panels.
    Also, can be installed on either side of the rig.

      Checking into that now!

      @@insaynbcr Aside from an extra room, the purpose of this add-on tent is to protect the roof top tent occupant from rain / elements.
      I have the same RTT and it’s a pain to get in and out when it’s raining.

      @insaynbcr Před 15 dny

      @@mistercampwell Yup. Being a pain to set up and only on one side was my point entirely to just ditch that particular tent, and if additional coverage is desired, any good brand of 90° awning paired with an awning room will do the trick.
      Also, the RTT need not be deployed to use said awning and or awning room.
