Multiverse of Madness means that since the Scarlet Witch’s intro into the Age of Ultron,
Civil War, Infinity War & Wandavision the MCU admittedly played the enhanced individuals role of Von Strucker’s experiments on the twins using the Cosmic Cube… could be the work of Essex when Wanda snaps.
Wade Wilson/Vanessa, Dazzler, the New Mutants cast, Von Strucker & Maximoff, are all files on Stryker’s X2 computer along with the one for Dr.Nathaniel Essex on the second screen that Mystique locates Magneto on.
X2, Apocalypse, Origins,
Deadpool, Logan, Once Upon a DP2 & New Mutants have 21 years of teasing Dr.Nathaniel Essex excessively w/o a reveal.

Why not use Doctor Doom? It makes more sense, and you can work Doom in retroactively quite easily with Kang only serving as "a puppet" for him. Also it's The Multiverse Saga and Doctor Doom in the comics has a few story-lines wrapped around that idea...

You can try kill and conquer whole galaxies as a character in the movies, but have an argument with your girlfriend in real life?...Thats a no no
I was never a fan of Kang's MCU portrayal, certainly not of race swapping him. The weakness of this villain and his early defeats is ultimately what makes this new Post-Thanos universe forgettable.
