- I made this video specifically for people who question whether we have even built our own house... While I don't believe it's relevant to whether we as a company, are capable of building houses because there are MANY architects, mason, carpenter, electricians, plumbers, laborers etc. in the world who don't own their own houses but are experts at their jobs when it comes to other people's houses. But apparently this seems to be relevant to some people. So if you're one of those people who need to know if we've built our own house, this is for you!

Build a chamber for the borehole. Water can sip in through the sides and contaminate the well water. Also someone can steal the pump easily

I am just finding your channel sis. The home is lovely. Yes in the Caribbean we call the boreholes cisterns only that we are able to fetch water with a bucket if need be.😃 There seems to be a lot of surrounding land. What area are you in? I am assuming you're in Ghana? I've been looking for an area where land is inexpensive and I can grow food as well.

To be honest, we have not been annotating our costs because this one is for ourself.. We just save up and do the next thing that needs to be done. But if I had to guess, I would say, we have spent roughly $50k so far

I have a similar house in the Kumasi suburbs and at $50K USD, I was at the point you have reached. I asked the question to induce confidence for others sitting on the fence that it can be done and they don’t have to be scared jumping into it to get their own houses or homes built🙏👍.

Unfortunately not. It was not my intention when we started the project 2 years ago, to put it on CZcams. This was a recent idea. So I didn't start out keeping notes on it. Couple that with the fact that the cedi has depreciated and lost more than half it's value from when we started, it would be a task for me to try to go back and try figure it all out at this point.
Collecting the rain water is the best thing that you could do
The room is darker due to the tile color. I hope you use white paint on the walls to compliment and brighten up the space a bit.

I would suggest to you is to look about growing yr own food that you can grow then what you cannot you will buy
Indeed. That's why we have a garden and many types of fruit trees.
@@tonyasaafir-ankomah1617 once the fruit grows in my opinion there is no need to eat dead flesh/in my opinion for fruits nuts vegetables shall be our meat where you are at in black africka is the best place that one can be and I just don't mean Ghana I mean everywhere in black africka because one thing is for sure you will decide if you want to consume the chemicals that you will put inside yr food in my opinion but there is no point paving over the land with concrete and you don't look to grow yr own food

Oh! That was done some time ago. When the cedi was still around 5 or 6 to a dollar. I don't really remember.
