    • @catladyfromky4142
      @catladyfromky4142 Před 2 lety +3

      Hmmm. David is not the owner of the store. So why you act like he is the boss or something, I am perplexed. And David has found lots of dresses below budget. Why do you not understand the dress the bride leaves with depends on 1. her budget 2. what style of dress she wants and 3. what dresses the store has in stock.
      If the bride wants lots of bling, "special" details, etc. with a £1000 budget, you should know she is not going to get it. In ANY shop. Especially in one that stocks lots of higher-end designers. You won't find a Pnina Tornai dress in Lancaster. So there is a reason the dresses here can be more expensive, and it is NOT David Emmanuel's fault.

    • @timak23LB
      @timak23LB Před 2 lety +4

      @@catladyfromky4142I respect your opinion but I am not convinced.. Brides with 2k or 3k budget should easily find dresses in this store. He should respect their budget instead of putting them in gowns that cost double their budget + the fact that he always asks for stretch before trying to searh for suitable choices is really unacceptable

    • @catladyfromky4142
      @catladyfromky4142 Před 2 lety

      @@timak23LB Yes, with budgets of £2000-3000. But if one reviews the times when the consultant goes way over budget, it is because the budget is around £1000. That is a HUGE difference. Considering many of these same brides want the "wow factor," the only way they can walk out with a dress is if they spend more.
      Most of the dresses in the store are between £2000-3000. It is not like Kleinfeld, which has lots of dresses over $15,000. The selection of dresses in the £1000-1500 range is really small in a small store. Commenters who complain about this store (or David in particular) going over budget ignore all these other variables. In fact, they remark how "David didn't go over budget this time" when the budget was between £2000-3000 or when the bride wanted something simple. Those are important factors, and that you actually wrote the same thing should be noted. That is all.

      I think in these situations, you need to be upfront and have a polite conversation with parents who are helping to pay for the wedding. You need to set expectations, or you're going to end up with problems. Ideally - this money is a GIFT from your parents to you for your wedding. As it's a gift, you will be making decisions on what you want to do with this gift. You wouldn't give someone a giftcard for Christmas and then demand they only buy an item you approve of, so it should work similarly (and like any gift, you should express some serious gratitude over someone handing over a huge amount of money to you that you're not entitled to).

    When the future MIL agrees with the bride but the mum doesn't. 🤔 At least the final compromise with the lace bolero worked out beautifully and made everyone happy 😀

    Funny the mother is wearing lace - so therefore the bride should? How selfish.

    I understand bringing your personality into a wedding, but I don't really get the point of most "themed" weddings...I mean, isn't the wedding themed enough? I mean, it's not everyday you're getting married.

    Have to say I didn't like anything about any of the short ones . They didn't say wedding to me.

    I thought the lace overlay made her work older, but it’s her choice and I hope her day is a wonderful one!

    Very nice, what a bargain! I do hope though that she bought the belt or one similar also, so she could change up the look for evening, perhaps.

    I really hope she wore the belt at the reception. It looked great that way.

    This mother of the bride was very difficult to work with… She wasn’t listening to her daughter in anyway and or does she care about her feelings. I really felt sad for the daughter and the consultant really helped bring the situation around to where the bride was able to buy the dress she wanted which too many was very simple but she didn’t want a big fancy dress and she wanted something she was going to feel comfortable in and she looked lovely and even without the lace bolero!!
    Adding it on, made the mother happy but I think the bride was just as happy without it but it was a compromise and by then they were both smiling and teary-eyed and ready to go forward to the wedding. This was a lovely woman who did not compromise on what she wanted and I wish this bro the best of luck and I hope she’ll be able to stand up to her mom in the future bowls in the wedding and when she’s married❣️

    At that low price, maybe she could have bought the belt as well and swapped the lace jacket for the belt for the reception. I thought the dress looked great on her.

    It's right for the entourage to have an opinion, though what bugs me here is the mother kept saying I want lace, and I would get married in lace. It's not your wedding

      Perhaps indeed it was meant to be a prom dress. It has the right price for that.

    Happily, I managed to stave off various female relatives and went shopping for a wedding dress on my own, since it was all my decision and none of theirs. They were somewhat surprised when I decided upon a knee-length very minimal 1920's style - which suited me, and ultimately, they liked.
