- So the Nioh patch 1.09 came out today, and with it came a few bug fixes and quality of life enhancements. I will leave the patch notes at the bottom of the description for anyone who is interested. Today's video is about my Nioh 200+ divine gear farming method in way of the demon.
You may have seen my video where I explained where 200+ divine gear comes from. If you missed it, higher level gear drops off of the glowing red Yokai in way of the demon difficulty. In order to find them it seems you must be farming in the last two regions of the game, Omi and Tohoku.
This 200 + divine farming method takes place in the Know Thy Enemy mission in the Tohoku region. You need to have a pretty solid build to do these runs quickly, so if you need help getting there check out my last video on my Way of the Demon build. You can get up to level 210 as far as I know.
To farm 200+ divine gear you need to use Diaba Washi as your guardian spirit for the equipment drop and luck bonuses, and take as much of those two stats as you can while keeping a strong build. You must farm the red glowing Yokai because they are the only ones that can actually drop 200+ gear.

Thanks for watching! Wanted to let you know, with all the farming I did it was very rare to have 200+ gear drop below the Omi region. It does happen, but very rare. The second best mission I found was the Demon King revealed, which game me around 6 200+ pieces an hour.
That is the mission featured in the video. It is called Become Thy Enemy, and it is in my opinion the best one to farm for 200+. Great minds

tracerbeast Tracer I can confirm that Yasakani's do drop from these red guys! I got a few on my run!
Congrats! I have had a few 200+ Yasakani's but they had horrible rolls. I would trade my 600 blacksmith patronage points for one god rolled Yasakani. Seriously though all these patronage points are killing me..... C'mon Team Ninja....

This is the deal with Nioh. It takes hours upon hours of tedious grind to farm for gold and weapons you need in order to go through the next NG+ difficulty level. Way of the Demon is where shit start to get serious.
One new special effect I got today was "Special Effect (Critical)" (I may be missing a word there), but the description of it was that it boosted the effectiveness of special effects which activate under the circumstance of critical health, by some sort of percentage. With some of the old Crit builds I saw a while back, I thought you'd find something like that interesting.
If the critical bonuses have a cap it could be useful for it (though only if it outdoes the cap like this)
Does this build also increase your chances and success rate on star level stats on weapons/armor?
Marobashi gives you good equipment too. And pretty quick.
Do you have to complete the mission once you get some divine gear, or can you branch out afterwards?
Great vid again! Always at the vanguard of the important stuff. I do have a question: with effects like equipment drop rate, does having 100% or over guarantee a that a piece of equipment will drop rather than a fragment. I've heard that having over a 100%, when its a percentage rather than number value, can "guarantee" that effect (kinda like elemental damage reduction). I have 157% equipment drop rate and about 30-something % yokai Equipment drop rate(back in the good ol' days I found a revenant with inheritable 25%---max fam---equipment drop rate; I killed him until I could soul match it on all of my preferred armor). So...yeah, back do the question: Do you think that this % based effect number will guarantee no divine fragments drop? I'd test it but I'm not at my PS4 at the moment. Thanks bud. So, in response to my own question, my equipment drop rate of over 100% looks like it guarantees that rather than getting a divine fragment, I get gear. Not much of it is over 200, but, in my limited farming, I've NEVER had a divine fragment drop. Only gear. So, with enough farming, I should have some good gear to come. Question: how probable is it to actually come across a 210 weapon, from your experience? Thanks and cheers!
Normally for this mission you will find 205 to 210. I find mostly 207's and 209's but I have found a few 210's. Weapons on the other hand I haven't found a 210 yet.
Just want to point out that one of the three karakasa's down at the ladder can be a red demon too so check them too before going to the gate.

i know it is late but would like to share
in way of nioh you can get over 12 easily divine equipments plus 2 or 3 etheral. the best mission is marobashi
play it twice you will get around 25 equipment
I still play this and I find doing the sanadas mission better for getting tons of divine since you get about 20 just from 3 of the small bosses since your can kill the normal and then the revanent
Torii Gate is a hell of a lot of fun and literally 100% of the divine drops are 200+. You get a lot of gear, amrita, and glory. Honestly just play a lot of Torii Gate.
Will have to give it a try! Don't play tori gate very often at all.
never tried torii gate as I am not into multi-player and dont even have PSN. it sounds fun tho, might finally come out of hermit mode
Thanks for the video. How do you actually soul match to +20? I did not find anything beyond +16 to soulmatch...
Find a mission with a lot of gear dropped. Hyakko Yagyo is really easy, bc you can just attack from behind when the enemies spawn. You will get +13 to +16's. You'll have a +20 in no time. It's also actually a good place to amrita farm if that's your thing. Just kill the first dude, and set up in the very back. You'll have their back right when they spawn. I get about 90 million amrita every 1-2 min run, using the phoenix (or whatever it is). Cheers! Oh, and P.S. if you haven't unlocked the 1.06 missions yet in WotD, beat The Queens Eyes, and it should unlock. It worked for me after taking awhile to figure out.
Oh, didn't know Nioh has their own versions of Badass enemies.

My first play through I didn't really understand the loot system and I offered up most of my divines like a total melon. Lol

Use a Himorogi branch after you clear all of the red Yokai, saves a ton of time.
How do I get my weapons past 150 (+4)?
Find another 150 (+4) weapon in the dlc missions and then soul match the two to get 150 (+5). Then find another 150 (+5) weapon and soul match the two. Repeat this process until you get up to 150 (+10). At this point you will be able to complete 'Way of the Strong' new game plus. After 'Way of the Strong', you go into 'Way of the Demon' new game plus where you will get gear above 150. Hope this helps.
not sure whether the revenant system is intentional or not by team ninja. players r using it as a platform for trading/duping equipments.

team ninja may add way of the endless demon if they decided not to remove revenants...

I hope they rethink some aspects of the RNG in Nioh. Look at Diablo 3, it was an absolute shit fest the first few years. They have used some of the best Ideas that Diablo 3 implemented, but yet they are making some of the same mistakes. We need to be able to re-roll accessories and they need more options for grinding out gear. Playing the same four missions over and over again really hurts the game in my opinion. I would would to see an endless dungeon style scenario, to help alleviate the boredom of running the same missions, while rewarding high clears.
Or maybe re-rolling like a certain 1-2 effects on accessories, or maybe have rare things like spirit iron, but way rarer, and make us use those to reforge. Although we could still savescum. I feel like a lot of the time you don't say the mission name... I can never tell which is which since they use the same areas for so many missions, even in different regions, which makes absolutely ZERO sense. Anyways, keep up the good work, fam.

Ng 3 starting missions u get 200 lvl weapon armours don’t waste ur time to get 200 lvl weapons armours in ng 2 way of the demon 200 lvl

Any idea what the new max level is? Highest I've found is 210.
I am pretty sure it is 210, that is the highest I have found. Too bad it cost 1000000000000000000000000 gold to soul match it. lol

Haha, more like 10-15 million gold depending on if you are soul matching the same type of weapon.
I think I've been noticing you get a discount the closer together the divine level is, so that might help too? At the very least, I know I didn't pay nearly that much, though it was a chest piece, not a weapon.
Absolutely, the amount of levels makes a gigantic difference to the cost. Going from 200 to 210 is extremely expensive.
