@@TheExcellentLaborer Man I tell people that all the time! Especially if you have a direct tools near you or even if you order online from them and buy “factory reconditioned or refurb” you literally can’t beat Ridgid for the price!

I've purchased other two-piece cutting guides and I've yet to find one that is worth the aluminum that it was made out of. I would much prefer someone made one-piece guides in 55" and 103" lengths. They would be much stronger and much more accurate. Interesting piece of kit though.
Thanks for the great video. You mentioned accessories near the end. Do you feel the track would work with other brand parallel guides?

1 battery. Proprietary track. I was interested in this saw. TS 55 is not that much more expensive for a MUCH, MUCH better saw with a track that can be used with other saws if you ever switch.
The adjustment knobs and depth slide look a bit flimsy, and the clamps are huge in comparison to others like Bosch with quick adjust track clamps.

14:00 into it and you just unpacked the extension track. As you're handling these track pieces and they're hitting each other and the sheet of OSB, it really sounds like thin, flimsy material. It also doesn't sound like extruded aluminum. It sounds like plastic. Then, when you placed the extension on the OSB, I can see it isn't sitting flush, so either the track is bent or the OSB is warped. Hard to tell. The saw also sounds very toy-like. I've got several Ridgid cordless tools and they all feel solid and I use the heck out of them. This just doesn't sound like it has the same build quality. From a marketing perspective, they should have included a second clamp and the track extension right off the bat. Just having a short track is useless for breaking down full sheet goods. Needing a 50-60" track and a 100-105" track is a necessity right off the bat. They might as well sell everything together.
Def is extruded alum, def plenty thick and strong enough. Saw feels really good, guarantee the sheet is warped they usually alway are. Def agree that they should’ve included another clamp though, that’s kind of annoying!
