- Have you seen all the hype, the social media posts and the videos, but struggled to catch fish on paddletail swimbaits yourself? That used to be me. But now, after years of using these baits for just about every species of freshwater fish you can imagine, I am confident there are a select few retrieves that actually catch fish of all species in almost any conditions. In this video, I'll show you the ones that work for me and exactly how to replicate them!

Spent grand total of 6-8 hrs on other videos of that topic and didn’t learn nearly as much as I did from your video in 6 minutes. Thanks!
Haha. Nice. Thanks!
Thank you for teaching these methods!
You bet!
Hammered walleyes last week on the Northlands Eye Candy paddle tail. Great tips and ideas for ways to retrieve. Keep up the good work.
Nice! I haven’t tried that bait yet. Tried tons of others though!
Very helpful Preciate u man
Thanks!
Great vid. I Iike the way you explain. Im hoping to target crappies for first time this summer/fall. Any tips? Depths, etc.
I should make a video on late summer/early fall crappies! Basically you are looking for any kind of cover in the deepest water available. Sometimes it’s a deep weed bed or weed line, sometimes it’s a man-made fish crib, sometimes a deep sunken tree. Sometimes all it takes is a little log sticking up from bottom. In most lakes I would target depths between 12 and 25 feet. Vertical jigging is my go-to for crappies this time of year and yes, a little swimbait works great for this.
