Iv watched a few of your videos on your channel, but I will now 100% add you to my favorites and turn on notifications! Your openness to God and his meaning to your life is 100% the best thing iv heard you say. Complete Respect!
added to "Fishing Trchnique" playlist. Man, once again, bringing great content free. Seriously, better content than my multimillion dollar university. Craziness. Thank you so much. I have gotten my girlfriend on some fish and she has now caught her first handful of fish. I wouldn't have been able to make it this far without the instruction of you and a few others on here. As I mentioned before, I had to learn how to build a bass boat from a jon boat, learn to navigate and read water on-top of learning how to bass fish, because I do not have someone here to teach me. So, these videos have in the most literal sense, made me the fisherman I am today. All of this has been within the last year as well. So, I truly do appreciate you and your family for what you do man. You're on my very select list of people I would like to meet.
I love how much knowledge this kid can pack into 15 minutes! Literally everything you need to know. Thanks Tyler keep it up!
Happy to help!
I love that you share your faith and your passion for fishing!
Always!
Thanks Tyler. I'm always pleased to see a believer seeking to make a meaningful memory, especially in our hobby. I am a professor who researches what I call the development of rational meaningful detachments (RMD). A RMD is an intentional pause in the midst of a high alert environment. In other words, it's a meaningful break. And that's how I view fishing. It is one of the best coping skills that believers can engage, gain a fresh perspective, reinflate, and bounce-forward in the high alert seasons of life. Keep on being a meaning-maker!
Thank you for posting Tyler
And thank you for commenting!
Glad a brother isn't afraid to talk about his faith. I really appreciate it. it gives me hope!
I have yet to find a bait that produces more consistently for me than a soft plastic swimbait. I love seeing you witnessing every time you promote your NFNT brand. It's so encouraging. Keep it up!
Thank you🙌🏼🙌🏼
I would love a series dedicated to using all different types of lures in ponds
I thought you might have been a Christian! The Spirit is in you, and it shows. Learning a ton from you, thanks brother!
Amen my friend!
Well explained. Thanks for all the instruction. Love these master classes!

Thanks for the tips man
Thanks so much, you've helped me a ton over this past year.
Glad to hear it!
Keep up the solid work Tyler!
Will do!
Really enjoying your channel! Has helped me so much more
Awesome!!
Hey Tyler, your masterclass videos are extremely helpful. Really appreciate the work you put into these. It’s great to fish with confidence knowing I’m doing everything right. Could you do some videos on shore fishing with these techniques? Namely how to locate fish, what to throw in certain situations, and how to avoid the dreaded skunk? Thanks again!
This is a great video on this method. I find myself fishing swimbaits 90% of the time. Really trying to branch out now but this method is just so good!
Glad it was helpful!
Great content ! I always learn a little extra watching your style
Glad to hear it!
Keep it up man learned so much
Thanks, will do!
Another awesome video. Simple to understand and yet so many nuggets to learn from.
Thanks buddy!

Thanks buddy! God is good and worthy to be praised!

Great tips! I got 3 yesterday from the bank with the Texas rig set up. Mid April in Alabama 👌
Exactly what I needed!
Heck yeah!

Great to hear!
Love your videos and talking about your faith god bless
hey man, just want to say i am digging your content. Thanks
Glad you enjoy it!
Gonna be a good one!
You know it!
Hey Tyler! First timer on your channel and I wanted to say that I’m thoroughly impressed. I’ve been watching Tyler Berger for a while and absolutely love that guy’s knowledge and passion for fishing but it seems that I’ve found 2 favorite channels now with the same attributes. I’m especially impressed with how you introduce your apparel and the meaning behind it, well done brotha. It takes a certain type of man to mention any type of religious belief in this day and age so because of that you got yourself a new subscriber. I’ll also make sure that all my fishing buddies do the same. Great job with the video. I haven’t used a swim jig for a while cause they just weren’t working for me, but now I know why. Looks like I’ll have to upgrade my jig tackle and give it another try. Thanks again man, I gotta go check out some more of your videos 😂👍🏼🎣
Man thank you so much for the encouraging words! I am so glad you have found my channel, and being friends with Berger, I’m glad you found his as well!
I appreciate any and all the support you can give, and I’m glad to have you around!
Well done. Thanks for
Thanks for watching!
Great brand idea bro!
thank you for the teaching love the merch and what it stands for
I appreciate that! Let me know what you get!
I really Dig the Videos! 🎣
Glad you like them!
This is perfect! Thank you tyler! I just got some dirty jigs guppie brand jig heads and pairing it with a keitech. I cant wait to try.
Good luck!
Started fishing soft plastic swimbaits more this year, definitely becoming a staple in my box.
You should!
The one bait I can count on when having a bad day is a #sparkshad particularly the 3” on an 1/8oz ball head jig, and when in a lotta grass I use the BPS tungsten EWG 3/16oz ball head jig. Wish more companies would make an ewg 2/0 ball head jig. Love your content Tyler, GOD BLESS! 🙏🎣
Great content!
Thank you!
Awesome Tyler, I love it that you take Christ with you in your vocation, cool.
Hey Tyler I just watched your video and subscribed because of the impressive video work you’ve been doing for Alton Jones Jr. and it looks like you are doing some great videos with excellent content on your channel.
I appreciate that! Glad to have ya around!
Lov ur vids, I’m literally binge watching all ur vids lol
Love that!!
@@TylersReelFishing I have been curious about this one thing with dropshoting, can you throw a tube on a drop shot?
The rage swimmers and kvd swim-n-shiner swimbaits are my all time fav swimbaits (specially the kvd swim-n-shiner in green pump/pearl belly. I caught a healthy fat 5lber 1st week of March on that color on a weighted bladed 4/0 trokar hook
Nice!
Commenting for algo, these vidoes are packed with good info.
I appreciate that a lot!
Love your Channel glad your doing well God is good

Absolute favorite lure type, works for smallmouth, largemouth, walleye, pike, musky, striped bass, perch, american shad, on jighead, swim jig, vibrating jig, widegap hook, weighted hook, dropshot, underspin...

Tyler!! I love the fact that you are an unapologetic christian, love the name and meaning behind your merch!! Please come to southern oregon and fish with me, i know of a private pond with possible oregon state records in it, it would make for a great thumbnail "Catching state record bass" 😊😅
I’d love that! Email me with the location and maybe one day I can come join ya!

I think paddle tail swimbaits are better than flukes. Just lil minnow size paddle tail. Just me? Thanks Tyler. LET'S GO!!!
Hey Tyler, love the content. Can you recommend a jighead (and hook size) for the 4" smooth swimbait you linked? Outkast is out of stock everywhere. Thanks!
Great content man! And if your an Aggie I love ya even more! Subscribed

MY TACKLE WAREHOUSE ORDERED ARRIVED!! I’m still a whole day from home on a work trip 😢, worst feeling ever 😂 ordering merch this weekend 🎉
Heck yeah!! I’ll pack up your order as soon as ya place it!
Great videos! I’d love some tips on lures to use in muddy water in the summer.
Find the healthiest grass you can and fish a worm and Thunder cricket very slow. And if you have no grass, find some kind of bottom contour change or wood or rocks and throw a big worm on a Carolina rig or shaky head
@@TylersReelFishing Thanks so much!
You need to try, and do a video on, the new tush swim bait jig by Core Tackle. I would like very much to get your take on this new lure design.
You are the best. I learn so much from all your videos. God is happy with you.
4” or 5” swim n shiner??
I like the 4” better. Get it though that link if ya can!
Love that you love God and know exactly what he done for us. So many are lost and don't even know it. And some think they know but don't live it. Good job spread the message.
Amen my friend! Not ashamed of the faith
I love watching your content, I always learn something new. I love that you are a Christian, I am also a Christian myself. It's hard to find good content that I can actually watch, without cuss words and other stuff. Keep it up Tyler.
Well, you will find that type of content around here! Glad to have you around the channel🙌🏼
Thanks, just an Idea for you. You could put Bible verses at the end of your videos, it's always cool to see that at the end of videos. But like I said just an idea. It's your channel not mine. Won't upset me if you didn't.
Dude i stumble across your fishing videos and i absolutely love them. And your faith in Jesus christ made me a subscriber. Im going to buy some of your gear. Continue being a great fisherman and a fisher of men.
Thank you so much for the encouraging words! I love having people like you around the channel
Jesus and fishing . Yes siiirrrr😊
First comment love your videos I enjoy watching them
Glad you like them!
I love the idea of the faith based company
Faith in Christ has changed my life. Not gonna be shy about putting it in every aspect of this job!
Gonna have to get me one of those hats. The infinitude of God is one of my favorite conversation topics!
Yessir!
Another GREAT VIDEO. Your videos are just so informative and they never feel like you’re dumbing them down for us.
JOHN 3:36.
Thank you so much! I try to put a lot of work into them so no time is wasted!
Great video Tyler what are the specs on the baitcasting rod you use for the rage swimmer type bait
I throw a 7’3”-7’6” MH
What hook size is best for the 4" Swim N Shiner? 3/0?
Tyler do u ever plan on filming a saltwater fishing video i would defo watch ( saltwater meanin for fish other than bass )
No I do not
Are you using a fluorocarbon leader to help the line be less visible and to help the bait sink faster?
Yes
First time fishing, and I’m curious about mealworms. Do they work??
Would you reccomend the bellows shad?
Maybe as a trailer, but it’s not a swimbait in the technical sense
Unrelated to the topic but Tyler my question is I put 12 lb test on my line and ever since I’ve been having issues keeping my Choppo on the surface of the water up until I reel in most of the slack. My reel is only rated for ten and I never had this problem until I changed I’ve been using 8 lb mono previously. I even bought a brand new Choppo to try out and still the same problem. This is on a spinning setup. The line I switched to is also mono so it isn’t a braid problem
Don’t throw mono, throw braid. 30-40lb will be great for your choppo. I talked about this in my most recent line selection video (not the spooling video)
In my personal experience there are times (especially when theres a lot of baitfish in the area for them to eat) where I’ve found throwing a swimbait that stands out like a chartreuse helps me get bites
It 100% can. But I think for the most part, from what I’ve seen on Livescope, matching the hatch on average gets you more bite
My body of water the Lower Niagara River in Lewiston NY is always difficult to predict weights some days 3/8 of an oz is good others 1/4 of an oz is good and others 1/2 of an oz is good depends the water is from 5 feet all the way to 20 feet but it has Walleye, Bass, Steelhead, and Lake Trout
👍
So I knew I liked you and loved your videos and when you plugged Jesus I felt such a peace in my spirit God bless you Tyler keep it up!
Glad to have you around and that these videos help provide peace!
I nailed my first trout with a white swimbait hopping it on the bottom off the local pier. The next cast my swivel let go 😭
I'm really new to bass fishing and sorry if its a dumb question but, is it a good idea to use 2 small soft plastics (2-3 inches) at once? Like having one on the main part of the line and one on a blood knot a little bit above the other swimbait and just swimming it like a normal swimbait. Loving the videos thanks!
Kinda like a dollar tree version of an umbrella rig
I would focus on mastering one at a time before you try to get fancy on em
Alright thank you :D, what do you think is the best size for a swimbait?
@@kershawluchaenthusiast5152
I would say
4 inch all around
5 inch for bigger fish
3 inch for number of bites
Hope this helps :)
@@Mg0936 yes this helps a lot, thanks!
what brand weedless hook works with these and what are they called
They are linked in the video description
Is that hook a 1/0 or 3/0 for the 1/8 ounce jig head?
3/0
How do you mitigate your leader knot getting caught in your rod eyes. I think I tie a good knot, but it's never seamless and it causes headaches because of the eyes.
Leave the knot outside the eyes with a 3 - 4 foot leader?
What about line through swim baits 👀?
Didn’t feel like they belonged in this video because they are more niche. Definitely good baits though!
Tylersreelfishing hits the saltwater?
No sir
Just a heads-up. Your smooth swimbait link doesn't bring up anything on tacklewarehouse.
Thank you, fixed it
I don't understand how it makes a difference in using a baitcaster as opposed to spin casting. All I'm used to is spin casters. I have no idea how to work a baitcaster, but it doesn't seem too hard. I just can't understand what would make a difference and why depending on the conditions where you're fishing?
The rods are built differently, and the reels operate completely differently. Watch this video for more:
czcams.com/video/AWryT5dpxUA/video.html
Bait casting provides more power and a little more accuracy and control (once you get good at using one)
Spinning is better for finesse techniques light line and light baits
@@TylersReelFishing
To me the baitcaster setup as far as the rod is considered, it almost seems to be more like an onshore beach fishing combo in that the reel is up a little higher on the handle than a spincaster setup for bass fishing(freshwater). That difference being the ability to get more swing and power to get your bait out farther would be better achieved. Other than that I have no idea why it would be better to use a bait caster freshwater to use for bass compared to a spincaster. Basically what I'm saying is, the rod makes the difference from what I can see, only. What does the reel have to do with any more of it? Let's face it, who is a real fisherman out there who didn't actually learn on the old push button bait caster? I can, and I can admit to it, but the reel was more or less the same as a spincaster from what I remember. What makes the difference? All I can think of was that it was closed over the top of it with the line coming out of a hole on the top of the enclosure. Other than that, isn't it pretty much the same underneath? I think the spool was set up like a spincaster, but the push button is pretty much the same as the baitcaster. Does that make any difference? That's another thing I guess I'm asking.
All and any can respond. I am actually looking for results from different people, since all people are different and have different feelings and ideas of the way things work. If I get a bunch of them that look the same or seem similar to something that I'm used to, I'll probably go and take that advice the most. Thanks to all who can respond!
What should I use if the bait fish is blue gill
A bluegill colored seimbait
@@TylersReelFishing I appreciate it, God bless

Knew you were Christian you exude that holy energy
Hard not to! When you know the love of Christ, you live your life differently
you should make a fluke masterclass, unless it’s done or this goes with it
I have that planned
@@TylersReelFishing cool these teaching videos help a lot
Okay T...so you state @1:30 "to the best of your abilities" determine what the bait fish species are. Ummm...as a beginner angler, how the hell do I do that?
1. The internet if you’re fishing a public body of water
2. Ask other anglers around you
3. Wait till the different types of spawns (Shad/bluegill/etc) and see what’s up shallow in clear water!
Might take some time, but any angler that’s observing can eventually find out what forage is in your body of water
youtuber don't explain enough about the weight and how slow to retrieve the swimbait, i myself is somewhat new and i watch so many video to learn but i never seen anyone explaining what weight to use for certain water height and how slow to retrieve it to make the swimbait look like a natural dying or injured fish, i believe this is the most important thing you can learn if you are bran new to swimbait, I've seen people using too heavy weight and snag and lose their lure or they would retrieve too fast and it look like their bait is the crackhead fish
I 100% talked about it and how important it is. But every head design, metal composition, and soft plastic composition and shape, all fall differently, and at different speeds. So explaining a one size fits all definition for when to start retrieving, wouldn’t help. You have to test and see for yourself and the equipment you are fishing with.
If you ever come to Ohio, can I go fishing with you?
If you’ve got a good pond(s) to go to, email me and maybe I’ll come with ya one day! TylersReelFishing@gmail.com
@@TylersReelFishingyou are the real deal. Love the content and free sharing of info. Thank you. I’ve got a couple ponds. One is pretty good. But I’m working on more access. Also I think it’s awesome how responsive you are to your fans. And to top it off you’re a believer!!
