You must mix more soap than the directions suggest on the soap container.
Ya gotta be careful with fresh turned dirt. That smell can maybe turn you "healthy". Spring plowing to me was always a good aromatherapy! Good on Melissa! I've done it, and passed on her mantra, "You can choose to be happy", and she always seems to be! If I can't be like Mike, then I want to be like Melissa!
I see the price went up $20 in 30 days.
I have been thinking about this comment for some time and want to get it right. I see you as a land sculptor. Just like a sculptor who sees the potential of his finished work in a piece of rock, you have the ability to see the potential in any particular outdoor setting and with your tools develop a whole new rendering in a very artistic fashion. And Melissa, his fascination with multiple camera angles the secret to his video success so if he forgets where he put a camera now and then it is simply a cost of that success! Keep on!
This project is looking good today. A low spot there at the bank is nothing, that's where you are getting your fill dirt. That area there will change a few more times before you're finished. Melissa said she likes the smell of fresh turned dirt, u do too. Back as a bricklayer, we enjoyed lots of great smells and some bad ones too. During a rainy week we were sent to a local furniture plant to remove and replace the floor in a fairly large section of the plant. By the end of the week I really felt bad for the employees there that have to breath the fumes in there. Varnish, shellac or whatever, was real strong. But that was just a week for us, after that we were back out in the wide open sites w fresh clean air and sunshine! I'm glad your dogs got to meet Tank, bet that was fun. This project was nice to see today, but I'm still excited to see the sawmill shed build back in the woodyard. Always great stuff at the Morgans! Thanks Mike!👍🚜❤🇺🇸🇺🇸
LOL. Like you said we “all” want to be outside then I get “stuck” watching you and other videos. Get off my butt. Finish video later. Finally finished at 8:30pm. You guys are so good for Hunter.. He is the type of person I worked with for 25 years. You are a blessing to him.
In a world gone mad, watching you dig in the dirt is such good therapy.
Really nice to have you talking again as you work. I enjoy it. Thanks for just being awesome.
tried to say hi at the Paul Bunyan but that was one hell of a line of folks
I feel the pain in your voice when you say your going to have to loose this tree and that tree...you have thousands of trees on your property and you treat them all with respect and love....flip side you make firewood and lumber mostly from dead or downed trees...
When you run your excavator and pat and smooth the dirt your grandson couldn't do any better with his little hands...you tell stories of being a " blaster " you were just rearranging mother earth....
I love to hear the stories of your stories and some of the humor that went with them... especially the one you told about the guy on your site that liked to dig with a baby shovel/spade and you guys hid it on him LoL that's something I would do too....
Anyways have a a good day be safe ❤️
You make it all look easy, but I know that there are years of experience at work. Great job as usual.
Wow Mike, the use of the new lapel microphone 🎤 really adds another useful dimension to your presentations. We can now hear your thoughts as you work. Thank you. 😊
Ha ha
MISS,... You're a Saint! Mike breaks another camera, fessed up, and .... you just shake your head! BUT, Mike yer purdy smart man for telling Melissa on video! Lol
Ahh, the learning curve of a great marriage! Good stuff!
Always good to get back out and move some dirt. Helps with getting ourselves re centered after going and being around others. Hope everyone is doing good. Stay safe!
Not so much fun if you only have a shovel and wheel barrow. A bucket on a machine is a game changer even if it’s a little tractor.
@@kdegraa trust me I know about the wheelbarrow. I ran one sometimes, either at home or work. But them again I made motor noises to get through the day. Not trying to be ugly or anything but sometimes that's all you have.
It was nice to meet you at the Paul Bunyan show! We made a 2 1/2 hour trip from Pa just to meet you:) Our family enjoys your videos! I just want to say if any of you (subscribers) have the opportunity to meet the Morgan’s , do it! Mike was great! Such a nice and friendly guy. We also met Adam , the ibc tote friend, very nice as well.
Everyone, Please start making plans to vote. It's getting really close. Remember--Elections Have Consequences.
Love to see these videos. Love to see Axle interaction with family and friends
It was so nice to meet you guys at the Bunyan. A long ways from Maine but I just had to do it. I was wondering never having been there as to how to make contact. But no problem as me and my son may have been the first to greet you as we got in the same spot at the same time. Keep up the good work. Love the family for me. That includes those 4 legged ones. Wayne from Maine
That will a nice additional piece of useable property for the brick house.
Wow as much clay as you have over in that area that collected water, you could use that as a really nice borrow pit for other areas of the property that need clay. That road looks great by the way!
To bad the hickory required removal, but sometimes sacrifices become necessary to gain access... My previous home had a large shagbark hickory that produced large volumes of nuts & the proof was in the pudding each season cleaning the empty shells left behind by the red squirrels in the wood shed, formerly a chicken coop...
Bill... :~)
I very much like the commentary you provide while running the equipment. I always wanted you to do that; I suppose it was a question of getting the proper microphone. Anyway, big thumbs up!
ENJOYED THIS VIDEO,,YOU DO SOME GREAT WORK ON YOUR LANDSCAPE,,EVERYTHING WE SEE LOOKS BEAUTIFUL,,GREAT WORK SR.. MAY GOD CONTINUE TO BLESS YOU AND FAMILY,,,,
Your videos are just so easy to watch, relaxed, informative, and friendly. I especially appreciate your respect for the outdoors, wildlife, and fauna.
I just did the same thing with an accidental pond. I dug a borrow pit to harvest clay and let it rain before filling it back in.
It turned into a mess
I love watching you on the equipment. You make it all look so easy!
Nice job, man that thing was holding a lot of water
Usually we get a view of the skid steer from the side, and without something to compare it to it's hard to judge just how big it is. In one of the shots in this video we get to see the front and Mike sitting on the operator's seat. He gets lost in the huge cabin!
"Does this skidsteer look good on me?" 🤣🤣
Man, I love watching culverts going in!!! It's all about Access to using and developing land!! Good work Mike!! Also, I could watch draining water all day long!!!
Calblue,
I’m not a fan of Bruce but he has a song, Pay me my money down, one line is,
If I was a rich mans Son, I’d sit on the River and watch her run…
Running water has that effect.
Hahaha., whew glad I am not the only “odd” (no offense) one who loves these types of videos., hahaha..
My friend bought a house years ago that had a huge roll of copper (1000’ roll) the previous owner left in the garage. He knew it was worth something, but never really gave it a second thought. So it sat there for years. Another friend remodeled his house when the price of copper went through the roof a few years back, and he told us what he got for the old copper in his house. So my friend decided to scrap that huge roll he had. He took it to the scrap yard, which was no easy feat, and was paid a small fortune for it. A couple days later the CSX railroad police showed up at his door. They informed him the copper was stolen from a CSX railroad, apparently it had been stolen sometime in the 70’s. Long story short there was a lot of legal issues surrounding it and in the end my friend returned the money to the scrap yard. I believe the scrap yard in turn just gave the money to CSX.
Hey Mike, I couldn't make it to Bunyan this year but I'm definitely planning on gong next year. Nice work moving the dirt and getting the culvert in, as always it was a pleasure to watch!
Mike you look your best working in the dirt you can see you love it.
Looking good Mike, another success. Sounds like you really enjoyed the PBS
Your videos are always refreshing in this crazy world we live in. Y’all be safe and keep posting please. Ontario Canada
Mike, Melissa didn't look to happy about the Go Pro. That might be cutting into her budget for a bigger press for shirts lol!
Have you thought about a nickel boom truck for your firewood delivers. You could drop off your baskets and pick up the empties. This would be able to deliver wood without dumping them into your trailer.
Hey Mike nice job on this project! I see the trees are changing there, I would love to see a drone shot of your trees! Have a day!
Hey Mike, how about using "blue" to haul some of that dirt. I know it probably be a bit slower but she needs some work once in a while. sort of feel bad about the old girl sitting alone.
That looks like a great site for a pond.
Like a pro on your machines Mike I like the sound the skid steer makes Very quiet 👍👍🤗🤗
Mike, she didn't look too happy about the GoPro......just remember to tell Melissa you are saving money.........(worked before....!)
excavator and track skid steer always a great combo
You make it look so so easy. Look your videos. Keep them coming. I enjoy watching you in the improvements you make around your farm.
Mornin Mike ,
On your culvert installation , yes you said it was just a simple pass over for mowers and such . . .
Probably would have been good to have used your plate compactor around the pipe to really set that pipe in tight , to keep the water flow from trying to go around the pipe rather than through it .
Yes you said more work to do on it . . .
Is the field going to drain into the dry creek over its width or at a given spot ??
Would cover the top of culvert with good layer of rock , to keep the mud down, and use some of your geo fabric on ends of pipe and some of that larger crushed limestone tou have left over as riff raff on the ends
I think you stated before when it rains hard that Creek carries a bit of water thru it .
Best to protect all your hard work from being washed away to turned impassable by heavy rain .
Interesting little project
It's all the fine tuning that really makes a project pop .
Might not seem worth it to you, but I would save those little hickory trees , cut them up , spilt maybe once and could be used when you use your fire pit to cook
Some of the hickory on top would give some food flavor to your meat.
If you like hickory of coarse , or maybe use the bigger stuff as blanks for knife or tool handles
Just a thought
I myself tend to be a little miserly on somethings, on others , not so much
BigMike
Great job, Mike. Maybe you can bring that machine up and do the same thing for me. I’m always wishing I had a tractor pathway across our creek. I actually think I remember when you bought those sections of pipe and mentioned the supplier. I called them for pricing at the time and even though I’m sure it was a good deal, I was shocked at the cost. I bet now they’re even higher. Good for you for getting that extra section back then.
YOUR NEW MIC SETUP IS A GREAT ADDITION TO YOUR VIDEOS.....GREAT JOB MIKE AND MELISSA....
I noticed the mic also.
I’d love to know you better that’s if you don’t mind
Its looking lovely over there in West Penn, our trees are also going that way,we call it Autumn Gold over here in Moonzie, our Archie {Cat} has started to get his Winter Coat, Most mornings @ about 5C .
Great job as always Mike.
Good morning & God bless you all
I watched your video earlier today and when I saw the puddle I thought , well that’s not to bad . When I saw saw the water draining I was very surprised there was so much .
Hey Mike, Jay here from Oregon. Very nice meeting you & Melissa at PB. Wish we would’ve had more of a chance to visit. Wanted to thank you for all the vids, in particular your older video of the Wallenstein skidding winch. After watching that I purchased the smaller FX40 winch for my little Kubota LX3310. Also purchased the break-away snatch block. All very useful. Can you estimate the depth and width of the area where you placed the culvert? I have a similar situation at my place. Thanks …
Great video Mike!, great job on the culvert!. The weather has been fantastic but this afternoon the weather changes for a while with thunderstorms tonight!. Morgans good day!.
I like all your music but do enjoy whenever you play some of your earlier, retro tunes!
Good Job Mike 🤙
Good morning on the clock at 8 with H2O control.Beautiful weather to get things done ☑️
Mike you did an awesome job as usual. That culvert will work there perfectly. Cool video. 👍❤️
Gooddirt bad dirt, is always entertaining, appreciate and admire the way you make it look easy, on rearranging the dirt to widen and gaining a larger flat spot to suit yours needs great video 👍👍👍👍👍👌
Mike it is nice always to see you move dirt. I agree with Melissa, I enjoy the aroma of uncovered earth. Nice to see daughter Eva in the last video. The new pup probably will be as rambunctious as Archie, partners in energy and stick collection! Mike, be careful with the GoPros! Melissa, Charlotte remains in the 70’s but soon it will be hoodie time.
Make sure you cut those hickory up for smoker wood. Good money in smoker chunks....at least in my area. Dave
Awesome God bless y'all! Always enjoy your videos!
It’s always an amazing time with them
Another good video. What could be coming to that plot of land? I think we shall soon.
I’d love to know you better David, that’s if you don’t mind
Mike, did you get approval from the EPA to remove trees and install that culvert in the dry stream bed? 🤣 Great job. Have another productive day.
Mike your going to be careful on those go pro there not cheap, good content
I don't know what you did before you had the skid loader. What an excellent tool for maintaining and re-shaping the property. You have become a wizard on that machine! Enjoyed all the videos from you and other CZcamsrs at the Paul Bunyan Show. Looked like a really good time.
Good morning Mike & family!!
Nice Work Mike Like Always Looks Great!!
Keep Smiling On!!
😀👍👊
The Bunyan show recharged your battery. Nice work on the dirt bridge.
Love watching you on that Excavator and Skid Loader. I am like Melissa too, when walking around fresh dirt, just love the smell. I used to hang around construction sites as a kid. Loved watching the machinery and the smell of freshly dug dirt. Amazing the way you can move stuff in less than 30 mins. And I LOVE Axil. More of him.
I am so curious as to what you have planned for that area. Stay well, stay safe and yall HAVE A DAY
I’d love to know you better Matthew, that’s if you don’t mind
Enjoyable, relaxing video. Enjoyed your photos & comments from the Paul Bunyan display
Good morning everyone out there in OWTM land… from an absolutely gorgeous Fall morning here in Virginia Beach…sure can’t wait to see what yinz are going to do with that piece of property. Plenty of (Mike’s favorite) MUD to clean off your tracks now.
Melissa you cracked me up when Mike mentioned the Go Pro & buying another one 😂
Have a Day
HELLOOOO Hunter
Different video I think but re cable winch. Get about 100’ of 3/8” steel cable and clamps. Clamp loops just short of the excavator’s reach & maybe add 10’ or so for a choker loop at the log end. Faster and stronger (and cheaper) than a winch. Store the cable on pegs spaced apart on the end of a barn/shed etc.
I’m loving your new microphone! So much better
Good job Mike. water an issue on that property
Good morning Morgan’s! Have a day!
Great video, projects are really coming together nicely. When i saw the excavator muddy, the very thing that come to mind was "FOAM CANNON". Loved the vid and the vid from Paul Bunyan. Oh when i saw this video come up early this am on my UTube, i had a smile not unlike Melissa's smile every time we see her.. lol Love to see how our Extended PA family is doing.. Wow things are changing there pretty quick, love Autumn, Fall esp up North leaves changing. Tell all the youngins hey for us. Thanks Mike for sharing a lot of the Morgan's life with us. from SE Texas Bear
Good Mountaineer Morning to the Morgan's!!
Bummer about the GoPro - that’s a lot of fuel money down the drain. But as you mentioned, it goes with the territory sometimes. I’m not sure if you mentioned what you are planning on using that space for or if I missed it but curiosity is getting the better of me. You moved a lot of dirt on this one but it is all coming together! Can’t wait to hear what the plan is but I’m sure it will be nice!
Keep up the good work
Oh no! Another GoPro! What happened?
It’s great to see you back on the machines Mike, like poetry in motion!
Take care and stay safe bud! Hello to Eva and Melisa! God bless, have a day my friends! I’m home till Friday. ✝️🙏🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Yeah that’s gonna make your life a lot better having another road on the property! Great work Mike, looks like a lot of fun to me (retired operator) 😁 I definitely miss running machines! Keep up the great video’s, I look forward to yours for sure! ✌🏼❤️🙏🏼🇺🇸
Good morning Morgan's! Always feels good to come home.
At least this way Mike you can keep current on the newest Gopro's.
“Where’s the bad dirt”… lol. So funny Melissa.
Thanks for your vid 😇💟💟💟 Love you guys.
Nice job!
buy the go-pro's by the case, cheaper.. Melissa, you are rocking the long sleeve polo, you look like a great supervisor..
Hi Mike & Melissa. As always things are looking goof there. I'm enjoying your journey. Hope you saw my question I asked in a recent video, as to the fire starter. Blessings from Rick in N.H.
In true Andrew Camarata style Mike kills another Gopro. You would make him proud Mike.
The big difference in these guys would be revealed at the rental yard:
Sir, would you like the optional insurance?
Mike: Not necessary, it will be returned in better condition than it's in now. 😀
Andrew: Absolutely, what's the top end on this thing? 😳
@@Dan-oz4qb No doubt Mike takes great pride in his equipment and it shows.
@@jefferyholland difference being, Andrew never buys new, he would rather buy a completely devalued piece and show us how to fix it!
I was just talking about the Gopro. Andrew is great.
@@jefferyholland totally agree Jeff, love both these channels for different reasons!
Coming along nicely Mike.
I’d love to know you better David, that’s if you don’t mind!
As Paul from Fab Rats would say, your eye chronometer was off the day you dug out the bank causing the low spot. 😉
Good morning Hunter 👋👋😸😺 and family and friends 😸😺
WOWZER, great job Mike, thank you and Melissa for sharing with us. Now you all have better access to more of the land for enjoying yourselves. Stay safe and keep up the good work . Hope you can come up with safety nets for the GO-PROS Melissa ??? Fred.
Nice job Mike
Melissa didn’t look very happy about the Go-Pro…..nothing worse than getting the frown.
Looks like lot of fun
Melissa did not seem very happy that you smashed another gopro mike
Hey Mike, great job as always moving and shaping the dirt. For a second there the way you were digging out that trench next to the pool house I thought you were digging out a new pool! 😆
Great it’s looking good there….. You smashed your Go pro ….. I’m still learning how to use mine Lol
You make it look so easy.
Good morning, all.
You are always are cutting up Hickory, Cherry and Apple trees , Have you ever thought about selling bags of wood chips for BBQ smokers ?
Hello from the Pennsylvania mountains!
