If Degea loves Man utd, a good pro and have enough self-confidence, he will accept being dropped as due to his own poor form and come back much stronger. How he reacts will show if he has the mettle to be a real WC keeper.

Feels like what we did with Daglish years ago, yes we won a trophy but it held us back massively in terms of moving forward. In terms of how good a goalkeeper can be over a 5-year period, David De Gea is arguably top 10 of all time in any country. However, no one can deny he's struggling right now. However, this isn't the first time in a Utd shirt that's he's had a bad run. He had a bad first two years at Utd, but still came through it to become one of the best in the world and amongst them of all time. He got through it back when he was younger and much less experienced, so he should be able to come through it again; I'm sure this is just a blip and Utd fans can see the best of him again soon enough.

Lose him forever ? So what ? In his best years and biggest level United finished just second in the league and were bounced from the round of 16 by Sevilla. De Gea isn't Messi he won't win you a cup or a league by himself. He can just make you lose by 3-0 instead of 5-0. He doesn't deserve to be the highest player of a team and no keeper is that valuable. There are a lot of good keepers in Europe look at Arsenal they bought Leno from Leverkusen and one was hyping him and he is pretty solid.

De Gea has let United down too many times this season. Maybe it's a signal that he wants to leave. It wouldn't be the end of the world for United if he leaves. United could do well with a keeper who's comfortable playing the ball with his feet. I noticed that even in the last minutes of Chelsea game when Chelsea were trying to keep the ball and run down the clock De Gea was just launching the ball into the air hoping that it would reach any of his team mate thus giving back possession to Chelsea. He's the best reflex goalkeeper in the world but the importance of sweeper keeper is getting recognised in world football and it would be wise of United to cash in on him now.

People have short memories of just how many games De Gea has won on his own for us over the years. He has had a dip in form this season admittedly, but the previous 5-6 years he’s been performing at a level that I can say I’ve never seen any goalkeeper ever perform at. The guy has been super human in the goal for us at times, and the mess we’ve been in since SAF has left would have been even worse without him. So no I don’t think he should be dropped, I think he deserves the time to play himself back into form, and be the best keeper in the world like he has been for the previous 5-6 years
