Roy Keane… where to start, so much has already been said. In my humble opinion he is simply the greatest captain MUFC has ever had. Not just a leader a true leader on the pitch but a true gent and leader off it to. He see’s the other side of a rich life most other well paid footballers don’t and that’s why he stands out.

Never forget where you have come from and how privileged you are to be in the position that you are in. Something Roy has never forgotten throughout his life and something that his parents clearly instilled in him at a young age. Well done to Roy for never forgetting these fundamental values and well done to Mr and Mrs Keane for raising a man with these basic principles. We were lucky to have him as our captain for so many years. Thank you Roy! x

This is the culture you want at a club. A captain demanding more from his teammates and a manager who will make sure the morals of the club stays intact.

This is the thing , it's all about standards. How you do one thing, even the smallest thing, is how you do everything. My school was extremely strict on uniform. I remember asking one of the new teachers who joined who was also the new assistant coach. He told us, the reason why we go so hard on you on the top button, ties tightened and fitted, was because if that one standard slips then it would be the shirts, then no blazers, then trainers etc.....that mentality then spreads throughout and discipline is lost. Chaos ensues. We were a free to attend school with some of the highest grades in the country and our team in final year went a whole season undefeated with 1 draw. Some boys went on to be professional. It all starts with the small things. Remember, maintain those high standards, every single day! 👊
sorry i disagree , a school uniform is just another way to extort money from parents , £300 is a disgrace , millions of parents struggling to pay this , i was lucky , my school never forced you to wear a uniform , im 51 , never been unemployed , and own 2 houses , you go to school to get educated , too many teachers on a power trip , kids getting forced to wear blazers in the middle of a heatwave .. ridiculous in my opinion .
@@scottyman-ey6bf In my country, the grades that are "mandatory" (which includes "high school" after my year group), you don't pay for anything. I still have to pay for my meals on work experience but even then I get reimbursed afterwards

@@scottyman-ey6bf Fair enough and you are entitle to your opinion. All I can share is my experience. Most people in my school ( which has school years of about 250 pupils) are all doing pretty well. A lot of them Doctors, lawyers, Economist, accounts, business owners the lot. It seemed to do them no harm. My counter to your "extorted £300" on wasted uniform; why don't your sell or rent out one of your houses and that should cover that expense for you. If also argue wearing the same outfit with a few new shirts is probably cheaper than wearing your own clothes all year as a kid. My other counter is that uniform makes it easy for kids. They don't have to over think what they wear. One school I did attend for a year which was non-uniform did prove to be a lot more stressful imo. Kids seemed more anxious about how they looked Also, uniforms help kids from lower socio-economic backgrounds fit in better. Not having to be concerned about what they wearing and judgement from other children. Lastly, uniform doesn't necessarily have to be a shirt and tie and blazer. You could do smart shorts/skirts and polo t shirts or short sleeve shirts even in the summer time. Just my opinion and experiences.
