Replacement 6 Gauge Cluster Dash Panel for 73-87 Chevrolet C10
GlowShift’s Replacement 6 Gauge Cluster Dashboard Pod for the 1973-1987 Chevrolet C-10 is specifically designed to replace the factory cluster trim. These Chevy gauge pods hold (2) 3-3/4” (95mm) gauges and (4) 2-1/16” (52mm) gauges, making them perfect for anyone looking to build a custom dash cluster or replace stock gauges. Each C10 gauge pod can be installed to virtually any 3rd Generation C/K box body and square body full size pickup, including C10, C20, C30, and K-Series models in this year range:
    1. Start by removing the screws securing the factory cluster with a Phillips head screwdriver.
    2. Once the screws have been removed, remove the factory cluster.
    3. You will need to cut a hole in the new cluster for the 1973-1980 headlight and wiper switches, or the 1981-1987 headlight switch. As another option, you can measure and mark the location. Start by measuring the distance to the center of the hole in the factory cluster. Then, using tape and a marker, mark out the same distance on the new cluster. Once the location has been marked, drill a hole using a 1-3/8” hole saw.
    4. If your particular truck does not come with a/c vents, install the included a/c vent block-off plate and secure it with the included screws.
    5. If your truck does come with a/c vents, remove the a/c duct from the factory cluster and install it into the new cluster using the included screws.
    6. Then, install the lower block-off plate and secure it using the included screws.
    7. Install each gauge into the pod using the mounting brackets, washers, and nuts. Be sure not to overtighten the nuts as it will damage the gauges.
    8. Once all of the gauges have been installed, insert the wiring harnesses into each designated gauge.
    9. Remove the factory gauges from the dash.
    10. Feed the opposite end of the wiring harness down through the dash and insert the new cluster into the dash. Secure it using the factory screws.

I like how you show every second of taking everything off, and then gloss over any of the wiring. Just run them into the dash. They will magically go where they need to be

I'm actually doing this job for my 1979 El Camino. However, I'm only installing the speedometer, the tachometer, and the fuel level gauges on the cluster, all GlowShift. Also, seperate brand arrow signal indicators. The voltage, water temperature, and oil pressure gauges are installed on the A-pillar with the GlowShift triple gauge pod. I had to install the TH350 adaptor for my 3speed transmission, a glowshift radiator hose adaptor with the water temperature sensor. Originally I tried to install the water temperature sensor directly to the engine, but it was too long to fit on my thermostat housing for my V6 engine. My Elco is a California edition and it comes with the temperature sensor on the thermostat. The oil presure sensor, I had to replace it with one meant for gauges, my original is a dummy light. In addition, I used an adaptor with the right diameter and thread. As for the gas gauge, I'm currently in the process of testing the ohms at empty gas and at full level to put the proper setting in the back of the fuel level glowshift gauge. The final thing I need to do is to connect the tachometer to my distributor. I'll make sure to run the Elco before assembling the unit to the dash to make sure everything works properly.

Very nice, just a few things.
Do you know if the larger diameter of the gauge holes at the face are factory size and if the face is oem style as in all the holes are in the exact factory position. I have an 83 Silverado with the brushed gauge bezel and I am wondering if the aluminum overlay would align up with your set up so I can put on a brushed face plate.
Also I do have the rectangular hole in my dash for the wiper system. I'm guessing you don't carry both bezels and I'd have to cut a rectangular hole in my bezel above the headlight hole I have to drill out anyway for some strange reason. Just curious, why don't you drill out the headlight switch hole?
I also have the 6.2 diesel with an automatic very analog and no factory tach. Do your tachs have a mode that works with these old chevy 6.2 diesels?
    Thanks.

Instead of the block off plates some little cubby holes would be cool to put stuff in, l would just use the ac vents and take the vent part out and add a backing plate
