The only reason there's a debate is because Lebron pays Klutch sports to push that and the NBA needed a savior after Mj retired and the ratings skyrocketed. Lebron couldn't even deal with Kobe and he had to join wade and bosh to win 🤦🏽‍♂️ because they couldn't beat Kobe. Lebron is trying hard to stat pad in order to be in the debate but he knows he's not the GOAT that's why he needs to keep playing.

I'm old enough to have seen this alien in person, before his prime and in his prime and I've done same with Bron, and find it laughable that they are compared. And I despised Jordan. Not only cause I've bled purple & gold since Magic's rookie season and I hated every player in the other conference but because MJ was too cocky and played with too much swagger for my taste. But without hesitation I proclaim him to be the GOAT. The things I witnessed him do I hadn't seen before or after him.
To me it's not even a debate. And I'm not going to factor in all the chips, hardware, accolades, stats, etc. I'm looking at the athlete. The pure raw athleticism combined with the skills. And MJ is superior in both. MJ had the leaner, much faster twitching muscle fibers. The fastest I have seen on an athlete that plays team sports. It granted him superior reflexes, hand-eye coordination, bounce, hang-time, quickness, explosiveness, etc. That's why MJ was jaguar-like with his movements and instincts. I have never seen a baller leap so quickly and effortlessly and then come down to the ground with such lightness. Just like a big cat. Bron is more like a water buffalo in a stampede. Heavily out of control. When he goes downhill it's like a semi-trailer truck without brakes. He couldn't stop on a nickel if he didn't have a dime. He also lacks the grace and aerial agility of Jordan. MJ was a Bugatti at Autobahn while Bron was a Waste Mgmt. dump truck at a crowded landfill.
The other extremely important factor is the mental. And MJ's was maniacal. He had the callous cerebral of killers in serial. His psyche was deadly as Ted Bundy in a Tallahassee sorority. Total opposite of Bron's disposition, which is saturation maxi-pads menstruation. His cerebral doesn't equal his physical. His mental fortitude is coochie juice and vastly inferior to MJ's. And that's why he's always been in dire need of a multitude of prime All-Star teammates to help carry him to chips while MJ just needed one prime All-Star teammate. And the only time Pippen carried him was to bench during flu game.
Another vital factor is the fundamentals. Which MJ learned from a highly-esteemed Univ. dean. This is the reason why MJ has the much superior footwork. And he had that soon as he came into the league. Bron never had fundamentals and two decades later there's still no where to be found. Because of MJ's fundamentals he was able to create "go-to" moves. And he had more than Bill Russell had titles. Bron has as many "go-to" moves as Barkley has chips, and I'm not talking about Ruffles. Because of the fundamentals Jordan also had better game with back to bucket and is reason he was a better defender.
The last factor is the steelo. MJ had too much of it for one person. The flair of Air Jordan with hair was unfair. But even when he got older and bald he still had insane aerial aptitude. Even when he missed shots, they still looked so damn good. His game was so fluid and aesthetic. Can't say same for Bron. His cadaver-like game is as ugly as Lady Gaga make-up free.

No one leads the league in scoring (10 times), be the DPOY (same year), lead the league in steals and lead guards in blocks in the same year. No one leading the lead in scoring and winning a championship (6 times). We can all look at your reaction and see what you REALLY believe on your face. You can't even believe what he's doing is real. Saying he was great for his era is like saying Jesus Christ was just a really nice guy for his era in Jerusalem. He had it all and he had no weaknesses.

You only need to look at MJ's rookie year stats to see what you are dealing with: 28..2 PPG, 6.5 TRB, 5.9 AST, 2.4 STL, 0.8 BLK, 51.5 FG%, 84.4 FT% and played ALL 82 games.
Then follow it up with this, for seven consecutive years he won the Scoring Title averaging over 30+ PPG every time whilst winning 3 NBA Titles and missing a grand total of just seven games, add in the only player in NBA history to win the Scoring Title and win Defensive Player of the Year in the SAME season. For me though, the stat that tells me he is the GOAT and it isn't even close is this one, in NBA history only four players have in the SAME season achieved the following:
    Won the Regular Season MVP
    Won the Scoring Title
    Won the NBA Title
    Won the Finals MVP
Selected onto the All NBA 1st Team
Selected onto the All NBA Defensive 1st Team
MJ is responsible for ALL four of them......case closed.

The bubble don't count, they had 4 months of rest, no travel and no fans. Those were summer league games. Plus we all know AD can't stay healthy all the way through a full season and the playoffs. Hopefully you watch some of Magic's highlights too and you might understand why it takes a lot to impress those of us that came up with 80s and 90s basketball lol. He's not only a good player, a great athlete but he's also a winning leader and a winning team player. Lastly, a lot of players in Kobe or Lebron's generation had him as their ideal player, so it's natural to model their game from MJ. No one's flying like him tha time and no one had the same grit for the winning like him. Of course evolution of the game, science and technology improved over time.

Most if not all those who got to see him play in his era would definitely put MJ in the top one spot.. Because he came before Kobe, and Bron. I grew up in the era of his three peat championship games.. One of the coldest players to ever grace the courts of NBA back in that time when he was literally untouchable. His fade away was just amazing to watch, his three point game was solid, his defence was tough as nails, he was not afraid to go to hoop, and he was just a hard player to guard or keep up with. He got fouled so many times when players went against him, that they didn't know how else to stop him, lol. That's how good he was.

Because he didn't go to college he never learned how to develop his game and incorporate other skills, footwork, low post, dribbling, pick n roll, pick n pop, midrange, nor learn how to play in different offenses, which is a big part of the reason he hasn't won more.

I’m sorry but no,guess who also didn’t go to college and develop all of that….KOBE,u can LEARN all that from nba coaches and even other players, like Kobe did,Kobe trained with magic, hakeend definitely mj,lebron CHOSE not to learn and improve himself hence why his game s so shitty, also the main reason lebron loses is simply becuz he not as good yall think,Kobe won more a he didn’t go to college

    • @w.w.1348
      @w.w.1348 Před 2 měsíci +1

@@fitzroy6970 The factors are not mutually exclusive. All of the skills I mentioned are practiced and developed in college. My statement does not exclude individuals who have a strong desire to improve from finding other routes to achieve the same goal. But some players rely more on their physical abilities without developing the nuanced skills that can effect their growth. I can see your statement and still stand on the truth of college coaching adding to a players development.

What makes MJ special are his skills. The way he moves without the ball, how he sheds defenders easily, how he creates space, how he reads double teams, his efficient and decisive footwork, etc. It's why he has so many plays where he makes it look easy. Some of his defenders also mistakenly say that he isn't as hard to guard ... because he killed them so quickly. MJ was a 1 or 2 move scorer. He didn't need to execute many moves to get open for a shot and score.

There is no MJ slander tolerated. Haters always question "why didn't he shoot more 3's" the 3 pointer wasn't filling in seats. That's why they moved the line closer at first to intrigue fans. MJ's bag was bigger than Santa Claus on Christmas Eve...limitless. He had a lay package for EVERYBODY, an impeccable mid jumper from anywhere. Nobody is taking MJ's spot as #1. You can argue with ya momma. I'll take 10 scoring titles, a 3k point season and the all high playoff single score game over 40k points any day.

Very true. After the first time Bird faced MJ in the NBA he told a Boston Globe reporter "That guy is going to be the greatest ever - you just watch." Not only did Larry become a legend, he also became a prophet. In MJ's second year, after they were swept by Bird and his FOUR hall-of-fame teammates he said "That was God disguised as Jordan." Which is a huge compliment since Larry gave no one credit. Ainge was on Ys Guy podcast and said "Even though our stacked team swept the Bulls, we all knew Jordan was the best player on the floor. There was never a doubt at the end of any playoff series he was ever in who was the best player in the world.” By late 80s Magic said "There's Jordan then there's everybody else."

By me being able to watch A LOT OF ERAS, Jordan was the most EXCITING PLAYER I’ve ever watched! He was FEARED and TRULY unstoppable! Not just on offense but Defense as well! He played HARD the ENTIRE GAME…..EVERY game! Jordan is my GOAT. It’s not only THAT he scored but HOW he scored! It’s like watching a Karate movie or a championship boxing/mma match! Jordan’s had glacé, style & flare! Not just a big dude power dunking only or an occasional jumper. Jordan’s every step was exciting. I’m thankful to have watched him play in real time.

Needless to say, Kobe took Michael's game and made it his as well. The great thing is that Kobe had no problem admitting that.. He thought Jordans game was flawless, and he wanted that for himself so he would be ungaurdable. Very smart of Kobe if you ask me.
