I just bought this same shotgun a week ago and now I want to order some shotgun shells online, What's the best shotgun shell do you think I should order for this gun?
So what’s the story behind this company? I seem to remember it originating from the Saiga importer before the Russian sanctions, and it’s not actually affiliated with Kalashnikov Concern.
There is some connection, through CAA/Hartman/Kalashnikov Israel, though nothing direct to KC in Russia because the sanction regime does not permit it.Technically, they could have gotten the technology package for the Vityaz, Saiga and AK-103 for free, since that's fine, but even if they wanted to be licensed, they couldn't. I'm assuming that they are tolerated (with some condemning statements by KC for the press) because it's useful to popularize the name with successful products once the international situation cools off (even if it gets hot first). Even if they flunk, KC can eventually come in and say: those were posers, get the real deal here.
Ok, I bought one of these about a year ago and just recently put a couple hundred rounds through it. Looks great, shoots great, cycles everything great. Here's the gloomy part, the front trunnion and bolt are cast metal. I've asked several people including Kusa about this. Kusa responded that it was a proprietary casting process and that it would last. The 12 gauge is approximately a quarter the pressure of the 7.62 so maybe a cast trunnion will work, I dont know. Any takes on this aspect of the weapons construction?
Very interesting. Does anyone know why there appears to be a separate segments of the top cover attached to the bolt carrier group, I've never seen this on any other AK pattern. Unless I'm missing something, it looks like a completely unnecessary modification?

Its a Saiga 12 with different furniture. I have a couple 12s and they are awesome and fast shooters. Really underrated shotguns.
but its is really lower quality then letz say a true russian saiga and thats for almost all their products

Safety lever to lock the bolt back..... they should have put the button like the first Saiga had, I wonder how it loads a full mag on a closed bolt?
What is the recoil like, it seemed kind of suppressed compared to my 12 gauge shotgun?
What causes that big flame when some of those shells eject?

Is the California complaint version semi auto or do you have to charge it every time you fire
How’s come some cycles have a big fireball coming out on ejection and others don’t?
Larry if you could only have one, DP-12 or the Kalash Shotgun?

absolutely not, it is too long and therefore unsuited to moving in an enclosed space such as a house

It has no relation to Kalashnikov Concern. Saiga is owned by Kalashnikov Concern.
