I have the indie version but today I purchased the mass market edition and the quality of the deck is really good. I cannot fault my deck and if you missed out on the indie trust me the mass market one and book wont disappoint :-)

I have been trying to get my hands on the indie deck for some time! I love it so much. I love to collect tarot decks. So beautiful. I love my mass market deck though. Definitely no complaints at all.

Oh and I noticed the slight lingering over the Devil card 😉 😍❤️
I got my copy this morning (ordered from amazon uk). I was a little apprehensive about ordering it because I had read a lot of negative comments but I badly wanted it. I absolutely love it!! I like the card stock and everything about it. I cannot fault it in anyway and so happy i went for it. Probably one of my favourite decks now xx
I fully intend to also get the mass-market version of this deck. But I am hoping they will sort out the printing issues, so am biding my time for the moment. This deck is just wonderful. Thanks for showing the comparison!

You have a very good edition. My cards are different in size, there is missing laminating on some of the backs. Also the first half of the deck has a crease in the middel at the side. I contacted my seller, and got my money back. So no loss for me, but i would love a more flawless editon! Hoping for a second better printing! Thank you for this review!!
I got mine yesterday! I was so happy and excited receiving it! I agree for the box and the book, very nice both of them. But as for the card stock I expected it thicker, better trimmed and ofcourse with coloured edges. Such a beautiful artwork..it is sad for the publishing company because she's done such a nice work.

Great run threw. I gave the light seers tarot on the small box but I love the deck. Works really well with other tarot decks and oracle decks so you can go deeper for clarity. I love the deck as what it says basically where there is light there is dark there is shadow. Brilliant run threw ❤️
The gilded edges is really what's missing for me, don't get me wrong the box is very nice and overall presentation of the indie..but that aside...having only paid £11.99 for the mass deck with free delivery... I'm not too down hearted at all. Thank you for the review 💖

Is there any word on a second printing from hayhouse?? I absolutely adore this deck but mine is like the others in its poor quality. My edges are all different sizes and there is a considerable bow in the whole deck. I would gladly purchase this again if they reprint it!

In fact the Indie version is a 400 gsm stock card whereas for the Hay House version it's a 350 gsm stock card. I just bought the Hay House version and I absolutely love it, it's my favourite tarot deck.
Well I got my mass produced version today. I will be also doing a review of mine as well in a comparison. I have the same issue as what Nina at Shuffle Tarot had with her deck, which is disappointing, but they are still gorgeous cards. Thank you for this walk through Simon. @@the_hermits_cave on the back of half of my deck it on one of the sides it looks like they all had been creased or something. Not sure what happened and also half of the deck is kind of off like yours was, like two separate decks.
i had issues with my deck from hay house ,which i posted on your fab group, with creasing and rough cutting. hay house immediately sent me a new deck was perfect. they also said for me to keep the old one. i love my deck now. so if anyone has issues with creases, just let them know. they will replace.

Hay House usually produces great quality decks - especially lately - so this is disappointing; I'm also not used to such thin cardstock from them. I've notified them, of course.

A Facebook group I'm following has a lot of members sending back their decks due to uneven edges and also a fold in the middle of each card, better seen from the back.
At least one person received a Hay House deck with half matte and half shiny cards! If there are matte ones to be found, I will find them! I was painfully disappointed to see the finish is so much less amazing than it could have been, given Hay House’s other decks. Sigh.
I missed out on the Kickstarter campaign and so was thrilled when this went mass. But I'm going to blow your mind a bit more over the mass deck - mine is not shiny! Not totally matte like the indie version but definitely a flat finish. Mine also had a natural break half way through and unfortunately, all of the back half of the deck had a small crease (@ 3/4") on the right edge about 2/3 of the way down the side of the card. I bought mine from Wordery and they couldn't have been nicer about sending me a new one, which hasn't arrived yet. I'm a bit worried as I've heard that there has been a lot of production issues with Hay House and this deck. Thanks for the video, Simon!
I believe they had to pull the first mass print run because of the problems with weird cardstock (like the Mary-El issues with the black edged edition) so I am wondering, does your ruined copy have the older 10 of Swords??
@tamipie The 10/S was changed due to a huge controversy over the original so the mass produced never had it. Only people with the indie version will have the first one.
@@What_Shaniquas_Into yeah, I have the kickstarter deck, and I like the first 10/S, I have yet to hear a compelling argument for the change. But the creator is such a sweet sensitive person, I think she couldn't bear the pain of even a few of her customers, so the change. I can respect that.
I believe it looks like two separate decks because it is two sheets of cards that both got cut into the individual cards. And each sheet is probably done separately. At least that would be my guess
I don't mind having a mass market version of this. What I do mind is not having it delivered on time. Ordered it from BookDepository 3 weeks ago! I know it's free delivery and all but I never waited that long for anything. 9 months of pregnancy is nothing compared to waiting on a deck delivery...
Oh Simon I’m so sad with this deck, I was excited to get it as a gift from my daughter for Xmas and it’s so damaged all the corners of the box the cards have a huge fold in the middle and top left on some and the cutting is just so bad.🥺😔😔😔I think I might send this one back 😔
It's the coating of the cards which makes all the difference. The mass-market deck has cheap printing and poor quality paper without a proper coating to give it resistance and malleability, resulting in fragile cards that feel like they will break if you shuffle them or handle them without being very careful.

why it can feel thicker when they are the same width goes in the quality of the paperstock. Something about how it's laminated or the porosity of it

Why this tarot have a different versions but still the same? The indie is more beautiful, and it changed the 10 of swords.
The artwork is beautiful, the hierophant card is thumbs down for me
