BANGKOK, THAILAND - Today in Bangkok, Thailand we’re going on a Thai street food tour to eat at some street food stalls that are very popular with tuk tuk drivers, taxi drivers, and motorbike delivery drivers. We’ll be walking our way about Wong Wian Yai to taste some incredibly delicious and fresh Thai street food!
Here’s where I ate:
1. Ba Meow Boiled Beef (ร้านต้มเนื้อป๋าเหมี่ยว): goo.gl/maps/j7nt1v4nUiQZYYJb7 - We started this Thai street food tour with a boil of delicious Boiled Beef (ต้มเนื้อ). It sounds simple, but it’s boiled with Thai herbs and seasoning, and as their customers tell you, it’s extremely clean tasting - that’s the secret. Along with herbs and sauce, it is spectacular.
Price: 120 THB ($3.52) for big bowl
2. Yim Ahaan Dtam Sang (ยิ้ม อาหารตามสั่ง) - Not far from Wong Wiang Yai market you’ll find this small street food stall that’s popular at lunch for Thai stir fried dishes. I ordered Squid Kaprao (กะเพราปลาหมึก), which was spicy and delicious - cooked on spot!
Price: 70 THB ($2.05) for my plate
3. Laap Ba Lek (ร้านลาบ (ป้าเล็ก): goo.gl/maps/FifML39tbpYKkG8c9 - We next went to a place that’s extremely popular with local taxi drivers and delivery drivers in the area to eat Isaan meat dishes. This place is fantastic and they specialize in fresh beef dishes like Laap (ลาบ).
Total price: 300 THB ($8.79) for everything

The diversity of the food you introduce us to is simply why I've kept watching your videos for years. You never get stale nor do you repeat the same 10 dishes over and over (unlike some other food vloggers).
Man, these dishes look simple enough when they hit the table, but watching the cooking process you can see just how much flavor & freshness goes into them. Beautiful! That stir-fried squid has to be packed with sublime tastes...

I admire Mark. He’s able to explore and learn but then his ability to explain it in such detail is amazing. Not only the surroundings and the history but the food. Things I honestly would never try, due to fear, he dives right in with chopsticks 🥢 and enjoys almost everything. I really envy people who can do that. I just love that he gets amazing opportunities to travel and learn so I just missed him today.

As much as I love my Taiwanese food, Thai food is just hard to beat! I lived in Thailand for a year and never had a bad meal. Everything is packed with flavors. The only thing is that a lot of dishes are spicy so for people who are not used to it, it could be hellish to eat Thai food. I used to say that what's considered super spicy in Taiwan is only mild in Thailand. 😂
I agreed with you. My wife is a Taiwanese, so I have tried lots of fantastic local night-market Taiwanese food and love them. As you mentioned Thai food is hard to beat, especially if you're adventurous eaters. I would like to poit out one thing though, only about 30% of Thai food are spicy, the rest are mild or non spicy at all. Of course, being in Thai, people are tempted to add more of the hot stuff just for the kicks. ha ha
I’m Thai and I’ve been travel to Taiwan twice, to be honest the foods there a bit mild for my Thai taste bud. but delicious as the way it is. Really love the roti peanut cilantro ice-cream.

larb, laab, laap....i dont care how its spelled its one of my favorite thai dishes for sure. extra extra spicy is the way to go with sticky rice as a chaser. not sure what region tom yum goong is from but another amazing soup that lives in my heart as a favorite dish. thanks for sharing.

When we were small those days so poor my mom used to give us raw onion and deep in vinegar as part of our meal was so good and sweet taste, yummy I hope you experience that too Mark Weins eats whatever infront of him he's not picky eater always watching from Ontario California
