Your boxing channel. News, Talk Shows, Podcasts & Live Fights. Our motivation for creating ProBox TV is simple. Boxing fans have been taken for granted. They’ve been underserved regarding the quality of content. Further, the other networks involved in boxing lack a commitment to the sport, the fighters and most importantly, the fans. Real fight fans need an “all-boxing channel” fully focused on giving fans what they want.

I even think canelo is small for 168 but that’s a topic I don’t wanna get into just saying he’s not at the level bivol and beterviev are on… I really think if canelo would have fought beterviev being canelo is a prideful fighter and has a chin.. he would have gotten seriously hurt .. seriously hurt !!! I love both Bivol and Beterbiev. I discovered Beterbiev first and forget which fights I watched early in his career but he was and is so strong, patient and relentless with pressure. Bivol doesn’t have the power Beterbiev has, but his footwork and hand speed is amazing. They are both greats with different styles.
Usually I favour the faster boxer. If Bivol can punch and move and never allow Beterbiev to plant his feet he could dominate. I am just not sure that it will play out this way in the ring. This is what makes boxing so interesting. You never know until they get in the ring. Can’t wait to see them fight!

I think Bivol is the kind of boxer puncher who could give Beterbeiv all kinds of trouble, but Beterbiev is a very good boxer with great timing and distance qualities adding to his awesome punching power. In the end i just feel Beterbiev will eventually catch him. It just takes one for him. Bivol did beat Canelo, but he is undersized at 175 and against a slick boxer with a light heavy punch, he was out of his element. Beterbiev is a really strong light heavy with very good skills.

This conversation is why I wish Jones either retired after the first Tarver fight or stayed at Heavyweight and made the Tyson fight. I'm only in my 40s and never got to see Prime Ali, Holmes, Frazier, or Ray Robinson, but I did get to see replays of the last few fights of Ali as they would run on TV, and Holmes actually fought until I was in my 20s. I understand that the Ali and Holmes I saw weren't the same guys that people praised in their primes. As I got deeper into my love of the sport I looked up those old fights and saw what made those guys so great. Prime Ali and Ray Robinson are the best fighters I've ever seen, but Prime Roy is the best I've ever seen with my own eyes. Prime Roy was something different. Roy's chin was never the same after the second Tarver fight. Roy was rocked or dropped in every fight after the Tarver fight win or lose. I stopped watching after the Danny Green fight because it actually hurt my heart. Roy could have finished his career 49 -1 with the 1 being a DQ if he went the Mayweather route, but instead, Roy loved the sport. Respect King.

Bivol will get stoped in the later rounds (9-11)...to beat Arthur you must hurt him, get his respect..!! And to do that you need more then boxing skills. You must have the power as well..!!

When did Callum Smith become the measuring stick? The guy that, despite the obvious size difference, that the hype train Canelo walked through. After Bivol walked through him. After comprehensively beating Rocky Smith Jr. Who rates when mentioned with Beterbiev but suddenly becomes not rated when mentioned with Bivol? And of course if only we could replay the Canelo like hype surrounding the invincible ‘Zurdo’, and the supposedly inevitable danger to Bivol, due to the Beterbiev like heavy hands, skillset and huge size difference. Bivol schooled him. All the things that the invincible Beterbiev is ‘so amazing for now learning’, Bivol learned ages ago. He must be more amazing then.

  • @Divocwax

Bivol got caught by Joe Smith Jr against the ropes, and was only saved by the bell. So, using that as precedent, I expect Artur B will do the same. Bivol will do well - until he gets caught. He'll only do the fight for the bigger pay, after assessing the higher risk of permanent damage. I feel sorry for him as he is classy.

Beterbiev is a hard hitter, but it’s not an explosion. He breaks things, he’s heavy handed. Bivol’s movements will be needed, feet and body. Antonio beating roy was questionable only because roy went heavywt just prior, where the world is slower. Roy lost his speed advantage as a result and speed was his forte.

Mark my words, Bivol will do a number on Beterbiev, and unlike most of the casuals spouting on here, I will tell you why.
AB is a decent boxer but not a great one…
In the Gvosdyk and Yarde fights he was behind on the cards when he got the stoppages.
People seem to overlook that AB does not seem to have one punch knockout power, and his knockouts were more from an accumulation of punches.
He also squares up often , when coming in.
He has a good hard jab. And a 1” reach advantage over Bivol
AB best work is at mid to close range, and he throws a lot of hooks and cuffing punches.
    He is very strong physically.
    Now turn to Bivol.
Bivols first advantage is his footwork.
He makes people miss with a terrific pendulum motion, and counters in an instant any mistake, while his opponent thinks he is safe and out of range.
This leads in to the next advantage, speed.
He is much faster and technically his jab is one of the best in all of pro boxing.
He is also statistically the least boxer in all the professional boxing at 13% connects.
Underestimate a great jab at your peril..
I think he will land consistently first .
This allows him to disrupt his opponents rhythm, and, unlike most opponents, he will not stand in front of Beterbiev and let him dictate the distance or pace.
Bivol does hit quite hard as David Benavidez stated (a lot harder then Gvosdyk he said), remember he was 11 of 14 wins.
He stated himself that he likes to box an opponent if he feels comfortable , rather than going for a knockout which while not as entertaining for the fans, makes sense, and could suggest why he has not had a knock out in nearly 6 years, but consider this he hasn’t had a remotely competitive fight on the score cards during that time either.
The final point is that beterbiev has never gone 12 rounds and certainly never has had to chase a guy the way he will with Bivol.
Chasing and punching thin air is very tiring.
We know Bivol has a terrific gas tank, and can move for 12 full rounds without slowing up. (Joe Smith Jr and Ramirez)
It remains to be seen whether AB can do the same ..
I think this will be similar to Spence/Crawford in that power is only useful if you can land it, and in this case, land, it consistently.
The odd shot here and there will not be enough, and I suspect Bivol will make him pay for every mistake, and the longer the fight goes on, the more he will be dominant in it.
This is just my opinion, but I see so many advantages for Bivol which many people simply ignore, because they believe AB has knocked everybody out so far.
For the perfect example, look no further than Ali versus Foreman, where people were concerned for Ali safety before the fight, and look what happened there…

It is going to be a good fight. This is a fight that I have no idea who wins. They are both in my top 5 pound for pound list. Bivol moves in and out so good. Beterbiev beats the fight out of everyone. Can Bivol move in and out flawlessly through the fight? If there is one fighter who can his name is Bivol. Can Beterbiev beat the fight out of Bivol? I can not wait to find out.

After the Canelo fight it was revealed that of all the usual pound 4 pound suspects Bivol got hit the least of all of them. He is not going to be standing right in front of Artur & he has seriously fast hands. And he can fight like that for 12 rounds easy. And as good as he looked against Smith, Artur is still 39 yrs old.
Wrt to Tarver, at one point his record was 27/6. Which version of him would show up? Beterbiev, on the other hand, is a model of consistency.
