Morrell is a very talented skillful fighter without a doubt, but, until he fights the top dogs of the 168 lbs, like Munguia, Caleb Plant, Benavidez or Canelo he still is a young talented fighter with a bright future to be made.
Lets not forget that WBC first created the Franchise Champion because of Canelo. I wouldn't be suprised if they do it again...😂

Coming is an interesting supermiddleweight character …ben whittaker, from england. A newbie with too much talent but he only has 6 or 7 fights, trained by sugar hill. Showing a little pernell, nasheem, shaker, bud, but also disrespectfully having fun in the ring. He is VERY marketable. I can’t wait to see him enter the contender stage, but i see him as prospect of the year.

He may be able to drop 8 lbs just to fight them, then return to 175. The next jump is 200lbs that may be too big but reachable and jai waits there.

Canelo has the 4 straps at 168 lbs, if he doesn't defend them against the #1 mandatory he should give them up or be stripped, if any of this happens and remains champion that means he's holding them hostage, and he is ducking, there's no other way of looking at this, Canelo must fight the best or allow the best to fight for the straps.
This is why there’s no excuse to wait around for Canelo

I wouldn't mind seeing Plant in a rematch with Canelo or Benavidez. Did good in the Canelo fight, but lacked experience. Gave Benavidez his closet fight yet. Out boxed him for at least 6 rounds. If he gets a big win a rematch with any of these guys would be interesting.

I think Pacheco is the best prospect at 168. Morell is the most underrated but needs a step up in competition, Berlanga is a bit overrated. Mbilli and Munguia are the most vulnerable.
