Jerry Nelson had such an incredibly huge range when it came to voices, Floyd Pepper, The Count, Robin the Frog, Ghost of Christmas Present, The blue guy who was always annoyed by Grover his name escapes my mind, Gobo Fraggle, Uncle Deadly, Lew Zealand, Emmet Otter and dozens upon dozens of others. He contributed so much to the Muppets and the world of entertainment as a whole.

Farewell Jerry Nelson. You have blessed my childhood with such wonderful memories. I will miss your fantastic voice from on of my favorite muppets. Farewell count von count. Farewell, Ah ah ah ah ah.... (sound of thunder)
It's a sad day on the friendliest street in the world. Jerry Nelson, the Count of Sesame Street will be missed. Count von Count, you will always be remembered. R.I.P. Count.
Also the V/O at the start of the "Sesame Street News Flash" segments AND the singer in the video segment on SS called "Don't Waste Water," about the importance of water.
Unfortunately they used Marty Robinson's version of Snuffy for this clip. Jerry only played him from 1971 - 1978 and then the back strain got to be too much for him. Marty has been playing Snuffy since 1980. I wish they would have used some of his Muppet Show characters (like Floyd) in the clip, too.
Death is a part of life. It happens every hour. Every second even. I learned how to count from the Count! Sesame Street was a HUGE part of my childhood, a childhood which seems so long ago. I didn't know this man but hearing about his death has made me put things into perspective. I grew up too fast. R.I.P Mr. Nelson.
As a Viking i would like to say that he's now on Valhalla feasting with the alfather, but i don't think he was on the Viking way so, I guess he is now on heaven counting angels! R.I.P Mr jerry

Yes... Like me
Not The Count! Man, I was born in 1982. He is still the most quoted character when my friend and I laugh about being Sesame Street kids.
Also the man behind Floyd Pepper, Robin, Gobo Fraggle, etc.
