as an alternative feels-based method, personally i do like flipping a coin but i also use it to gauge my real desires and the flip itself isnt the important bit.
If i flip the coin and get amane, but im sad about it, I would know I actually wanted susanoo deep down and pick him after all. If I don't have a strong feeling about the coin toss result, then its fine to go with it.
