I've been a huge fan of Sue Bird, then Sloot, and Chelsea Gray. But I've never seen a PG who can put that much pressure on a defense, score on 3 levels, and make impossible passes like CC. Unbelievable motor, game IQ, and overall skills. Will be eventually lauded as the best PG in the HX of women's hoops.

I want the person who determined Mitchell's basket at 0:43 seconds was assisted at all of Indiana's games. Mitchell caught the ball at the 3 point line, turned and paused in front of a defender for a second, went left using a screen, dribbled 3 times, and shot at the basket 4 seconds later. And Clark got an assist for that! Amazing.
That's what they count as assists today. Before, in order to be an assist, the receiver makes the basket with no dribble...or maybe probably with one dribble at most.

LeBron, Westbrook, Harden, Luka…all these players’ stats benefit from passes that shouldn’t count as assist as their passes didn’t “directly lead” to the basket. The other player had to make their own move.

In terms of baskets made and assists, CC is "involved in" more points than any player in the WNBA this season. This includes veterans as well as rookies. WNBA doesn't seem to cover this stat, but I think it's amazing for any rookie to do this. Sabrina Ionescu is in second place. I checked this last week, but CC's production has only skyrocketed since then, so it should still be good.

Fantastic passing in this game. The behind-the-back ones are especially fun to watch! Caitlin and Aliyah make a really powerful pair. But i was disappointed by NaLyssa missing layups, and i was disappointed by Lexie's and Katie Lou's 3-point shooting. Some things to work on during the Olympic break, i guess. Kelsey seemed to have an off night.
In a game where SIX players on the Fever team played an average of 30 minutes each, the most assists that any other player aside from CC had was three (AB and Samuelson). Kelsey Mitchell had ONE, Nalyssa Smith and Lexi Hull both had ZERO. Now let us look at the Wings team. There were SIX players who had an average of 31 mins between them and THREE of their players had 7+ assists for the game and the other three players had at least one. Interestingly enough, ALL SIX of those Wings players had double digit points for the night. So, once again it is EVIDENT that CC registers these high numbers in assists because the rest of her teammates either don't know how or care to assist each other. Hence, whenever CC assist numbers are registered, one must put it in context because the FACT is if she were playing for any of the top teams in the league it would not be so padded because the top teams have top notch players who know how to ASSIST. Having said all that, this is in no way suggesting that CC is not an elite passer of the ball because she undeniably is, just that her stats are helped in a big way by how POOR her teammates are in that area. Trust me, if the others don't get better at it, then the Fever will not progress as far as they can and would want.
Ummm the stats are nice, for Boston also, but the team lost a very winnable game like they did with Mystics, especially as they were tied with a few mins to go. Team responded well to the previous loss, beating two higher rated teams, but this loss was not good.
It was always like that, they win a big one against a top team, then lose the next game against a bottom dwelling team. Sides wouldn't leave well enough alone, she discards what was working then insist on her favorite slow, grind out offense which causes them to lose big leads or losses. Or make inane decisions at the critical part of the game. they should have at least 2 or 3 more wins if not for her.
If Boston keeps popping those jumpers like she did in this game then she’s going to be a 25/10 player. She has a great looking shot… I sometimes wonder why she seems hesitant to pull the trigger when she’s open…?

Because turnovers matter only at the critical part of the game that leads directly to a loss. You go find out who have the biggest total turnovers in the NBA and you would find it to be a list of the elite superstars.
