  • The Wahweap Hoodoo trail head is near Big Water, Utah. The hike is a good 9 to 11 miles roundtrip, depending on how much you explore. Just follow the wash and it takes you right to the Hoodoos. We hiked in January in fairly dry conditions. The sand was cold and packed for easier hiking. Summer months would be hot, deep sand with no shade what so ever. Rainy conditions would make the trail pretty impassible and risk of flash floods.

How was the drive to the trailhead? Can a AWD SUV make it to the trailhead?

Thanks for watching! Yes, during dry conditions, an SUV can make it to the trailhead. If the road is wet and the wash is running. It could be impassable. With all the wet weather lately, it would be very difficult to hike as well. The trail is in the wash. Hike it in dry conditions cooler times of the year.

Looks like a beautiful hike you two had out there with some incredibly crazy shaped stones. Thank you very much for sharing, I really enjoyed watching. And just in case you want to follow me and my dog on our trails, it would make me happy if you come over and have a look ;) Warm wishes, Mario (subscribed)

Love your videos. Planning a trip soon. It would be nice not to have music with lyrics over your voices. It’s very distracting and difficult to hear you. How about no music over your voices.
