Ever been in a Leprechaun Canyon?? Watch the highlights of what it is like for us in this week's Utah travel show! Located in Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument, this is easily one of the best day hikes in Utah! When at Capitol Reef, a family friendly national park, be sure to check out Leprechaun Canyon, a favorite of the slot canyons in Utah. When you are considering the things to do in southern Utah and/or are considering a free alternative to Antelope Canyon, we highly recommend you put this, one of the best hikes in America, on your must-do list! And while Capitol Reef is best unknown national parks, this is one of those lesser known hikes you should not miss!

Note: there are three forks of Leprechaun Canyon: East, Middle and West. Many accidents and rescues have occurred in this canyon system (esp. in the Middle fork) due to folks getting in over their heads. Please, know what you are getting into before committing to a risky move. There's a wise quote at 03:16 in the video: "I don't know how in the hell I'm gonna get back down" - folks exploring these canyons would do well to to heed that thought (going up OR down).

Whoah this looks awesome! I wish I could visit all the spots that the US has to offer - but I'm stuck up in Canada until we have a vaccine. And yeah that looks a bit scary around 5:40 - good thing he made it out :)

I wear an iwatch. It kept telling me to breath. Oh, how extremely tense and challenging. I do understand why one would want to do this...even though it's mind bogglingly adventurous. Well done all four of you. Wow, what a beautiful canyon. I think even leprechauns would have trouble squeezing through some of those passages. 👍❤️🙋♀️🌷🎥 Indeed far healthier ( I think) than Disneyland, not to mention cheaper 🥳🙏

Oh man I'm claustrophobic so I don't know how far I could get into that canyon. It looks like parts of it were really challenging too. But that scenery looked incredible. Great dancing in the canyon April!!

I have never heard of this canyon before. But it looks so cool. I had no idea there was an earthquake in SLC recently. I would’ve been uneasy going into those small slots too. At least you weren’t in there when it happened.
It is very cool! The 5.7 earthquake was back in March (we filmed this the first week of April), within a week to things going bonkers with the pandemic...
What an amazing canyon! So huge. Some places looked quite dangerous to go there but man! how you started to climb for while :-). That was great.

I’ve always wanted to explore a slot canyon…it looks so cool! Wow…your shot turned out so great there. “See how far we can get into it…” seems like words you want to be careful saying when entering a canyon 🤣 Love the drone shots! OOohhh we' love a good slot canyon, this one looks really cool! SO crazy that you have to Spiderman yourselves up that rope, definitely not a nice easy stroll through the canyon haha- serious rock climbing! Nice that there are way less crowds than Antelope Canyon- that is the biggest bummer of that place. That's nuts that there are earthquakes there, not really common for that area is it? Fracking?
What's the best slot canyon you have been in, other than Antelope? We actually live near a fault line (Wasatch Fault) here in Utah... The 5.7 one in March's epicenter was only 13 miles away from us; it was * crazy* !
Some tight spaces, can be a bit claustrophobic. I dont think everyone can do this. Good drone footage at the start.

Thanks for watching! You can walk into the canyon as far as you can go until you get to the rope. We didn't have the necessary gear to go up & over at the rope, so that is as far as we went.
