- In this video we take you along on a 5 mile hike to a small slot canyon that packs a punch. This was the most colorful canyon of all that we hiked to in the Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument.

I hadn't heard much about Escalante until I watched your videos. I am very much sold on taking a special trip out there to do these hikes! It is amazing to watch how your ability, comfort and enjoyment with this type of rock scrambling has increased with time. You continue to be great motivators for me and my wife!
We were just talking today about how we'd like to return sometime in the future. It's far less crowded than Utah's NP's but just as special. We're happy to know you enjoy our videos and you find inspiration in them. It's kind of you to say so. Happy trails!
You two are inspiring!
Well done. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for the kind words. This hike was fun and the striped canyon so unique. We love Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument.
Wow! That's a hike for lithe people only I figure! I take it that the part of the slot canyon that features the best and most colorfully vibrant stripes is located AFTER that crux passage that you shimmied across...?
Hello. Yes, the zebra striped walls were after the narrow part. It was a good time 😊. Thanks for watching!
So impressed with getting through that part where you had to shimmy up high! Love the calculated risk taking
Glad you enjoyed. We had so much fun while we were there. Utah is our favorite playground. We appreciate your continued interest in our adventures. Happy hiking!
We have friends in Utah who say the same thing! Cheers!
Tight climb. You did it. ❤❤
It was fun to figure out how to get through the small spaces in the canyon. Thanks for watching 😊.
I would feel very Claustrophobic there
Slot canyons are not for everyone. We’ve been in some where you almost get stuck. That can be a little unnerving 😳. Thanks for watching 😊👍.
What time of year were you there? I was there last June and I had to traverse neck deep water to get back to the "zebra". It was kinda creepy.
Wow, that sounds like quite the adventure you had. We were there in early May of 2023. We lucked out with perfect weather. Thanks for watching and happy trails!
