After having the programmer a few years do you still recommend it? Have you had any issues?
I am wondering if you still have your Ram and if you are still running the Pulsar on it, and if so what are your thoughts now? I just came across your channel. I also live in Mt Juliet. Nice rides
So I bought the pulsar for my 2020 ram 1500. I set all the settings, tire size, axle size. So I filled it up with 93 and set it to sport with the MDS off. Well first off the throttle is horrible. You barely press down on the pedal and the truck shoots off. The lag is still there but the pulsar has made the throttle positioning open farther at than the stock pedal position. It makes the vehicle surge bc your not use to how far to move the pedal. Next the MDS being turned off is the same as if you were to use the gear selector to the highest gear. If you have the pulsar, look down at the gear on the dash and you will see it is in 8. But that’s cool. As far as increase in power I really don’t feel anything except the throttle opens more like the pedal commander and the shifting still feels the same. I’ll give it another month. One thing I noticed it down shifts a lot and barely pushed the pedal down.
Any update on this?? I hear the good but I want to know the bad before putting it on my 2021 and waiting money. Thanks

just installed a pulsar on my daily driver 2015 Ram R/T today. my first drive reactions were basically exactly the same as yours in the video.

I see that the check engine light was on when you were scrolling through the menu. Did the check engine light clear afterwards? I'm seeing other videos with trouble codes popping up after they installed the Pulsar Tuner.

Are you still running the truck with the pulsar? If so, would you still recommend it?
I’ve been running the Edge Pulsar for almost a year now, works pretty good! Saw a dyno chart for 27rwhp which is pretty decent for a N/A tune.
I have had mine for about 4 months, have you been removing yours every time you take it to the dealership for service or just put in on the 1(stock setting)?
Ruben M I just leave it on performance, the warranty is gone the second you tune any vehicle. Edge claims it doesn’t leave a foot print but the dealer will always be able to see any modifications done to the truck. I’d recommend telling them not to flash the truck though.
Did you have to enter a 4 digit security code to restart your truck? I don't remember picking one and can't restart my truck.

fast851 Tow mode just feels a lot less responsive, kind of the middle ground from stock to performance. The performance tune seems to really pull around 3-3500rpm.

Wow, when i had a 05 Ram, they nothing even remotely close to this, barely had programmers, that didn’t really do anything, and took forever to mess with. This is amazing, if i still drove, and had a Ram, I’d get one for sure.
I just installed mine there's definitely a difference I can spin the tires just fitting the gas very easy install very pleased with this product
SRTMUSH I had a question for you it has been almost 6 months since you posted this video. My question for you is have you had any issues with your Diablosport Pulsar. I am asking because I have a 2019 Ram Limited and I am considering get the Pulsar but I have seen some bad reviews on them from other owners. Just wanted to get your insight since you have had yours for a while. Thanks for your time.

MDS off modes punch your throttle to keep mds from turning on.
Put in Performance MDS OFF mode and it's even better throttle response. Spins my 33x12.5 wheels easily.

Wonder how powerful and responsive this would be on a truck with lift and bigger tires, always having people ask about fuel mileage on this.
Installed a 93 tune on my 2018 f150 5.0 chirps the tires in 2nd and 3rd gear not bad for $400 upgrade
Try putting your gear selection button in 8th gear when you get started moving in drive when in performance.

It's not the mds, it's the vvt. Mds isn't really that good for them either but combined the 2 and let it idle for EVER and it puts ware marks in the cam. Vvt if you can picture it, the cam has some give to it so it lags behind when it's not being used hard so the emissions are lower, when it needs more timing or you stomp on it and open it up the cam kind of rolls up to open the valves more. Another problem is the rings on the pistons are moved very close to the end, also to help with emissions. This doesn't allow you to boost and turn large amounts of fuel to it. The motor is great, if you're going to tune it hard all you need to do is change the pistons, the rest of the engine is very tough. When I say hard I mean over 500 hp out of that 345 hemi. Just na you could get it to 375 hp to the ground and not mess the pistons

If I take it off for service and take it off would they know I disconnected the pcm?
I have an 04 ram with a GT tuner and what a pain in the arse it is to change anything. Yet the Cummins of that year has a few tuners that you can change on the fly. Thats a beautiful truck you have

@@geoffreydarnell6899 I have the AFE dry filter set up. I've had it for awhile so I'm not sure if they still make it or if there are better options. My buddy has the same truck and has the K and N. He seems to like that. The AFE kit relocates the filter lower in the engine bay under the radiator resevor.

Hi could you check the pulsar does remove the speed limiter? I have 2019 ram to and the top speed is 170km/h after that the gear just up and down at gear 6 and 7. Even i just did one time at this speed but it make me feel have a chain in my neck. And does this pulsar ship to Canada?
No it doesn't remover the speed governor

The problem is if you add mods you still need to unlock your pacman and tune it they should make it so you can custom tune it

I can get snappy throttle on my 318. Called a lighter spring lol. There is one thing though, new cars certainly have nicer interiors. I'll give them that much and that engine sounds alright. Not bad for strapped down for emissions on the exhaust.

It's just recommended if your going to run in performance mode. Otherwise you should be okay with mid grade fuel.

Probably nothing to tell you the truth the only thing I could think of is just different horsepower gains but you would have to check out everyone's websites for that info

Does the screen setup unavailable while in motion message stay on or does it return to speedometer mode ? If you remove it, you can bring the truck in for warranty work at the dealer ?

that’s all they do it make 1% throttle input 10%. 90% is really 100% and the last 10% does nothing, in fact my 2019 power wagon goes out of range and full throttle starts closing the blades. sucks
If you swap the muffler/exhaust system or install a cold air intake, can you in input that data into the pulsar like you would tire size, etc.?
Hey guys. So I've seen the videos. There's alot of people that say that it does NOT add any HP or Torque. Have you guys bought this, and can someone please tell me the truth? Lol. Looking for my 2019 Rebel. Also, does it help with gas mileage. If so, does it save on gas and add the HP and Torque at the same time, and on the same setting?

Always run with MDS off. That's what takes out lifters.

once it is piggy backed, the operation is through the cruise control stalk and the screen on the dash very simple.
How do you still make use of the cruise control if this maps to those buttons?

When you turn the truck off and start it up back up - does it keep your previously selected setting?
AKA selecting (lvl 7) Performance... turning the truck off... then when starting it up it reverts back to (level 1) Stock?

Well I went on their website and they say it doesn't leave a single mark since its just plug and play, not ecu tuning but I'm not sure how confident they are on that. Me personally, I would like to buy one.
Same. I just wanted better clarification haha. Like I know people say the throttle response is way better but it’s almost too much on performance, which wouldn’t be good in low traction surfaces like snow or rain. So I’ve been asking around if the Eco mode actually does anything or if the Eco or Tow tunes also help throttle response but not as aggressive. Haven’t got many straight answers on that front yet. Also I would like to think this doesn’t leave an ECM footprint since it’s not actually tubing the ECM, but it’s clearly altering the programming somehow so I’m just curious if that’s traceable. Also haven’t heard a whole lot on if it feels like the truck actually gains the claimed power numbers, or if it’s all just throttle response. No dyno videos yet.

I doubt it. The 6.4 is a stud. No replacement for displacement 😉
