Video Description :
Korean cuisine is largely based on rice, vegetables, and meats. Traditional Korean meals are noted for the number of side dishes that accompany steam-cooked short-grain rice.
Ingredients and dishes vary by province. Many regional dishes have become national, and dishes that were once regional have proliferated in different variations across the country

Facts. is an online brand that creates short and relate-able videos including taste tests, watching TV/ CZcamsrs, gender taboos & more.
Similar to channels such as BuzzFeed, WatchCut, TheFineBros & GMM we focus on creating content that depicts people (usually Irish people) experiencing new things for the first time, whether that be food, drink or maybe a TV show! - Zábava
Do they not realize that western broths are also made by boiling bones? That's basically the definition of a broth.
That's how I make broth. But vegans use vegetable scraps.
They also used veggies. Especially in western world.
Correct me if I'm wrong but boiling bones is called a stock not broth broth is made with the meat.
Jungkook
Actually, stock always involves bones, broth can be made from boiling meat and/or bones, but that's really beside the point. The point is that boiling bones is a really, really common practice in Western cuisine.
They're Irish. Their understanding of food is probably fairly limited to potatoes, bread, and basic cuts of meat.
Yall could have at least had bulgogi or ddukbokki or jajangmyeon. Like, the foods that Koreans eat on a daily basis.
they are not korean so they dont know what koreans eat think please
@holyflygon it's super easy to Google lol. "popular Korean dishes"
Or bibimbap
yeeesss bibimbap. Also good Kimbap. God I miss Seoul
Yeah Bibimbap is delicious - and how about some Korean BBQ - or KFC? And they would have appreciated Patbingsu instead of the Yumilgwa - but at least they included Kimchi
OK. The thing about ice noodles, you see, Korea has this thing called SUMMER. And in SUMMER the temperature gets very very high. Cold soup noodles is designed with this in mind.........oh, the hangover stew? It works. It really does.
David Martin agreed on the hangover soup, but having spent 4 Summers in Korea, nangmyeon (and all other iterations of coldy slimey vinegary noodles) is STILL disgusting.
You don't need slimey gross cold noodles to cool down, that is what bingsu and ice cream are for!
I did think that it would have helped to get the context of cold noodle soup. It was one of my favourite summer lunches growing up.
@@jglobetrotter2830 Cold noodles are amazing tho
yeah sorry b like. they’re irish, as am i and lemme tell u. we ain’t got NO such thing as summer
Spyder918 it could depend on who makes them.
Where's the bibimbab and gimbab? WHERE'S THE KIMCHIJIGAE?
_._alkijuyo _._ PREACH IKR NOOOO DO NOT OFFEND MY 대한민국 🇰🇷
I'm not Korean and even I was wondering the same thing!
Where's the sannakji, boshintang and beondaegi???
The what?.....
and japche and yukkae jang?
They should have served Bulgogi. Everyone loves Bulgogi.
or Bibimbap 😍
Or samgyupsal or japchae. Man now I'm hungry.
Yeah they should have given them Bulgogi, bibimbap, galbi, pajeon, or some other stuff. They basically gave them some of the weirder stuff that non-Koreans wouldn't like.
Yaki mondu is good with soy sauce. Nong Shim ramen is hot but very tasty.
Yaki mondu is good with soy sauce. Nong Shim ramen is hot but very tasty.
I'm confused on why they were so perplexed by bone broth...... Dosent pretty much every cuisine use an animal bone to make broth/stock? Christ I'm American...... And that isn't exotic at all.
yeah lol. they just somehow didnt know it was a thing.
Agreed, these guys are either idiots/playing up for the camera.
No Bone marrow isn't commonly used to make broths or stocks in Ireland
do u not know what a bone marrow is?
?
I love how they pick the picky people, like I would love to try all of that
...So... where is the bulgogi? Japchae? Jjajangmyeon (black bean noodles)?
Luscious Angel Lol, any Korean will insist jajangmyeon is Chinese food. ;)
I wanted to see them try budaejigae
J Globetrotter
LOL 😂 but it's popular. Even though it's Korean/Chinese. At least it's not an entirely different country trying to make Asian cuisine.
But seriously, not even Korean fried chicken and beer.
Omg I loveeee Jjajangmyeon ❤️❤️☺️
@J Globetrotter it’s a Korean take on Chinese noodles. Ramen is technically Chinese but it’s a Japanese take on noodles.
I am half Korean AND half Irish... You done goofed on this one Facts. Soooo much tasty Korean food you passed right by, and if you really wanted a reaction, you should have served them pickled skate (hongeo).
Hahah! That would have been amazing. Oh man.
+SuzieQSailaway Ikr, missed opportunity
lol wonder if tasting that would make them walk out
Blah Bleh you are cruel lolzz I had Hongeo few times and I kinda like it, but it took me awhile to actually start enjoying it. I certainly wouldn't recommend it to anyone who doesn't know anything about Korean food lol
last sentence XDDDD I personally can't even handle that fish man it's so pungent
Why didn't they have good korean food? Bibimbap, bbq, dakgalbi.
Short ribs!
Bibimbap is my favourite
also bulgogi , samgyabsal ,kimbap , pajeon etc....
Probably because they know those already in some other form and the video is more for foods that take them out of the comfort zone.
or some tteokbokki!
"Picky people Taste Test Korean Food"
Sobad 🤣🤣💀
Technically they weren't even the most popular of foods LOL. So, I don't blame them.
Seriously, or I'm just to un'picky
@@dreajp kimchi is mostly likely by South Koreans but my opinion
*"Melted cow"..... What the hell do you think gelatin, gummy bears and marshmallows are made of??*
So you're saying gummy bears aren't made of real bear.
Horse hooves
They are millennial Bernie bros, not exactly the sharpest tools in the shed.
@@SmokeymcJoint420 not all millenials are dumb as a brick. That's like saying all baby boomers are Aholes.
All broth is made from bone so i dont know what they complained about
when you get so excited to see them taste your cultures food..............and they hate it😣😣
they gave them the things that you have to develop a taste for, I wish they gave them korean barbecue, or kimbap instead😑
Yeah it's for the reaction..... They seemed to like a few things though. They did one awhile back on american thanksgiving foods and mostly were given dishes I've never had or heard of especially on thanksgiving!
Novinophobic they did this kinda insulting video right after chuseok, 추석 (korean thanksgiving) which is kinda rude
People don't do proper research, clearly.
when ur from a country thats on the other side of the world ur not going to know what dishes to serve to people
Facts. suck for making you eat kimchi by itself. It's to be eaten in or with something. At least some rice.
First time I tried kimchi, I made the mistake of eating it by itself. It was awful.
I actually always eat it by itself because I thought that's how it's supposed to be eaten. Still tastes good.
I really like kimchi and added it to things like soup with Korean ramen...unfortunately at least the one brand did not love me. Will try another soon.
First time I ate kimchi, I didn't know how it was eaten. I'd bought whole container and ended up eating it all in one sitting. I liked it. But better with things.
karenamanda1958 I always eat the kimchi by itself before my food comes out a restaurants.
Help. Im stuck on a facts marathon and cant escape. ive been watching facts since 550 and its currently 946. help
Ah...I found a fellow CZcamsr whose fallen down the Facts rabbit hole too...the pit that is endlessly entertaining and sucks the years off your life. Did you ever find help, my friend, or am I doomed now?
:
All broths and gelatin is made from boiled bones
I hope people know that most broth is made from bones.
M M o.o well that's the last time I fuckin eat broth.
Yeah, they're delicious and healthy
KillMyVocals the Earth disagrees, don't let the animal go to waste. Full flavour in foods and composting, learn it.
That's right
People freak out on me all of the time when I explain that.
I wonder what these Irish people eat since they don't like almost every food in the world
I think the dude in the red flannel needs fired for always being a negative Nancy about legit everything
i literally came to the comment just to find ppl who are talking shite about him.. thank you
He only ate bread and potato on his entire life.
Why are they so shocked about the cabbage? Like wooooow who knew food could be prepared differently
Well what do you associate with cabbage? Fucking green leaves and that's it. Of course they're going to be confused when they're confronted with cabbage that's red and has a shit ton of seasoning
But they mention sauerkraut. They're familiar that cabbage can be made with various seasonings. Shouldn't be surprised with kimchi. It's very good
Or dimsum with steamed cabbage. Yum!
They were excited, irish people LOVE cabbage
YeahNahHowYaGoin She was being sarcastic lol
As with every Facts food tasting video, I was so hopeful that this would finally be the one where Ryan actually likes something. As with every Facts food tasting video, I was wrong.
Why all the hate for the guy in the checkered flannelette? He's fucking hilarious!
In fairness he's not; he just says everything is shit and that's it. No attempt at humour, or any deeper insight. Maybe it's his "thing" but it just gets boring after a while.
hes from the country side so he grew up eating nothing but stews and things like that so when he gets something half way across the world and doesnt like it from how different it is then grow the fuck up about it and stop the bitchin
mojhanly
if it get's boring for you after a while, why don't those people just ignore him? Why comment just to hate on someone over an opinion?
everything he says makes me laugh
@ Nuck It's hard to ignore in such short videos and time after time. He was one of the better characters, I thought; but the schtik gets old - Ryan gets told Ryan rolls his eyes in disgust Ryan beez miserable.
Why comment?! Pure frustration at above.
They are called ENOKI mushrooms thank you very much. And they are fucking delicious. But straw mushrooms are the absolute best tasting by far. Sadly they are usually only in Thai food if any in restaurants around California..
What? These people never had bone broth soup? When you were a kid your mom didnt save the bone from a roast dinner for soup later on? Its more common than you think. Most restaurants dont say because they know people are irrational like this and detached from where their food comes from. If youve had a soup thats rich or creamy its most likely from bone marrow fyi.
sergeantbigmac This soup is labor intensive, often taking 14hrs to 3 days to reduce. I'm sure it was delicious but these hipsters are probably used to eating shit out of a can.
wouldn't hipsters prefer going the longer and extensive (sometimes pretentious) route of cooking? I dont think hipsters would prefer eating canned soup.
I'm just so disheartened to see people squeal, "eeewwwww!" when they aren't open minded enough to just try it & developed their own opinion based upon taste.
Maybe they're just a lot less insightful about other culture beside theirs and that might made them kinda unworldly.
Love when mom makes soup beans from a left over ham bone 🍖
These videos always give me the impression the people in them have never even seen food from outside their country, let alone taste it. Being from a somehat cosmopolitain area myself, it always looks so odd! Funny. But odd.
Not only that, but if they were really people that ate soup, they'd know that all soups that have meat in them are bone broth soups. They boil the meat on the bone to make broth. I'll bet they're canned soup suckers....
That's true, Irish people can eat the same stuff everyday, finding some diverse food here is hard especially in smaller cities.
Well my mom made something we all called "Chicken Gut Soup" with the necks, backs and giblet packs. It was damn tasty.
Well, my apologies. I've never attended school for cooking. Just what I was taught from both the Russian side and the American side of my family. Our soups always get jelly when in the fridge. Source: 32 years of family guidance.
I don't know how it is in Ireland, but in my country unless you live in a bigger city your choice of take out consists of italien, chinese and kebab. It really annoys me, because I love trying new food, but it's not easy to get.
Isn't Ireland an island country? Why are they not used to seafood?
I was thinking that too
They don't know they're on an island, they're drunk
+Alex Zedd seafood is surprisingly expensive in Ireland if you don't buy it processed, breaded and frozen, for example on a menu does anyone ever notice how prawns are the most expensive thing on the menu and often the only fish offered in most chinese takeaways? But that's just one bad example I can think of...some people just aren't used to more out there fish like squid because it's not readily available and cheap.
Dude, we can't even remember where we buried the potatoes, leave us alone
LOL , such a great sense of humor
i would really hate being mates with those two guys
Alex me too man, they chose the worst people to do this.
They picked the worst foods to represent South Korea. Breathe if you agree.
~RealizingBeauty~
Clearly North Korean propaganda.
Oh no, i exhaled. Im so sorry darlin. :^{
I bet they would have loved trying Budae Jjigae...
~RealizingBeauty~ I think kimchi would’ve been fine, but they could make kimchi fried rice with it. Serve it with kimchi on the side. Bulgogi would’ve been nice. Kimbap too.
I agree with you
*Irish people critique abstract art.*
What if they actually do it one day?
signing in for the day
This sounds like a very intriguing idea
You are the most determined person i have ever seen lol but seriously awesome idea
I admire your dedication.
I've always said that Koreans are like the Irish of the Asians. They both love to drink, fight, eat cabbage/potatoes, a lot are Christian/Catholic, and were subjugated by an island nation.
Don't forget split in two countries
And both are attractive
I remember reading an interview with the Korean director Park Chan-Wook and he said that Korean people love tragedy and darkness in their movies and I thought that sounded quite like the Irish black sense of humour too!
Korea is not Irish. Stop with the bullshit.
See what I mean? Koreans love to fight! It's like as if you call a Korean person Chinese or Japanese they get all mad and up in your face. BTW I'm Korean too and I know the type well lol. This is the internet, bud. Settle down.
My favorite is tteokbokki, they should've tried it.
What DO they eat in Ireland? Basically nothing is edible if you watch these videos...
BLAND FOODS obviously
Stew. I mean, I've only been north of the border, but they like their stew.
Don’t read too much into these videos, most of these guys seem to be hipsters who don’t like anything, especially the lad in the plaid shirt.I’m from there and find Korean food amazing.
They eat stuff with flavor, so basically none of this crap.
I'm part Irish....they have blandest food on the planet and that's coming from someone who travels a lot. Even Ethiopian food is better than what they have.
I'm of Irish descent, and I was stationed in the Army over in Korea. I always said, the Koreans are the Irish of Asia. A hearty, fun loving, hard partying, down to earth people.
*****
Well, I lived there for almost two years, so I met quite a few.
i met arrogant idiot cold self centered korean ppl..
+wuqingyuan It's hard to really say Koreans are universally like anything. Luckily, we're not like China and have a relatively small landmass so similarities are easier to find.
Coming from an Americanized Korean, the Koreans are typically modest and reserved when meeting someone but more eager to warm up to someone than a Japanese or Chinese person is. They also practice "Shame Culture" the hardest out of all three East Asian countries, typically shaming themselves to put others up.
When you come down to cold self centered Koreans, you might have been spending a lot of time in Seoul where the attitude is usually more "New York-ian". There's also the problem of spoilt silver spooned youths in a period where there's a lot of "new money" Koreans.
*****
I think I just figured it out. You were probably in Seoul, right? Seoul is like ANY big city on the planet, where most people are cold and distant. Get out to the countryside to meet the real Koreans. It's like the difference between people from NYC and LaCrosse, WI.
Yeah. What Wafflerofl said.
Which one is the Good Ireland and Bad Ireland?
lol savage ;)
+Xnake
Please.... Don't ask a question like that. We don't need Ulster to be brought into this whole situation...again.
Whoah Karma brought right back in there son
It's the opposite of the Koreas. That's how I remember.
vegetaouji333
But then in order to achieve that, you'd have to have both lettuce and a wide variety of beach sands.
"I now understand the split between the North and the South" lol jokes on you because some of that was North Korean
I just love the way they talk!! Makes it so much funnier😂😂😂❤️❤️❤️❤️
As a Korean, I don't like how they serve Kimchi as a separate dish. Nobody in Korea eats Kimchi by itself like that. (It's like serving pickles as a meal) Kimchi goes well with rice and meat dishes.
Also it didn't look like vinegar or Korean mustard sauce were added on the Naengmyeon. Those two essential ingredients help enrich the actual taste of the dish, preventing it from being all bland and floury.
I wish they served the foods more properly.
korean food is sooooooooooooooooo good, why did you guys choose these crappy dishes?
when ur from a country thats on the other side of the world ur not going to know what dishes to serve to people
So they would get the funny, disgusted reactions (they make for a funnier video). Bibimbop and Korean BBQ (and Korean snowflake shaved ice) would be more enjoyable for them to eat - but not as good of a video
Well they seemed to pick up some dishes/items that are literally completely uncommon to see on the internet. No bibimbap, no tteokbaki, no bulgogi, nothing.
I can understand giving them some unusual dishes, but I was expecting at least something like bibimbap. There's literally almost nothing more delicious than a bowl of bibimbap.
Lollllllllllllllllllllllllllllll !! You Irish are humorous !!!! LOL!! I love your reactions. I'm just about on the floor, rolling with laughter. Watch it wiggle, Lol.
I'm Irish and South Korean and facts missed on some amazing dishes. Korean BBQ and fried chicken dishes are very popular with the party/street culture in South Korea. Can't forget the soup/noodle dishes. I'm sure this isn't the first time people felt improvements could be made. Still a great channel.
I love how they got excited by the cabbage.
Why not try, Bibimbap or Bulgogi or Maion Galbijim or something that is more normal. I think starting with the food they tried out here is a bit strange, like I have been to Korea and mostly the food is ok for Irish people's taste.
this makes me so happy
Irish people are like the realest people. You know they like you if they show you no unecessary filter.
Yikes, putting dour and dourer together in a video. I'm no scientist, but I'm pretty sure this is how Black Holes are created.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Right? They put the two guys who hate 99% of everything together, and then they added Dermott to the video for good measure.
Dermot's great, but Ryan seems like someone you'd genuinely want to punch in the face on a daily basis.
Adele May Dermott's just generally crotchety, but I don't hate it lol
Why is it only the "meh" Korean food. No Bibimbap? Bulgogi? Kalbi? Traditional Korean meal with half a dozen side dishes in addition to kimchi: Namul, Oi sobagi, Bokkeum, Jeon... my mouth is watering...
Dissapointed Donut ahhh haemuljeon after a long hike.
I wish they would put all my favorite Facts people together for a video. I dont know their names but I still have favorited.
Laura's still got the best reactions and responses of excitement.
"Like, it's just awful." "It probably is offal." XD I see what you did there!
Irish people really can't handle spice lol
why did you give them mostly spicy food anyway hahaha
Nnn
Come to Northern Ireland 😂
jellyjay well we aren’t Mexican but I can handle pretty spicy stuff
I’m not the best with it
Also for those of you who love food or learning about food or especially Korean food, please please watch Ugly Delicious on Netflix if you ever get the chance, it's hosted by David Chang and a ton of other Korean chefs as well as chefs from all over the world. Each episode is about a different particular food, or the 'home cooking' episode, which is probably my favorite, because they center around his family's Thanksgiving as Korean Americans and ooohhhhh myyyy gooosshhhh it is a show I always love to watch while eating
Carmel Gold-Fanning Kimchi Chronicles!!!!
With every Facts taste-test video I become more and more convinced of two things. First, no-one actually researches the food their doing, and second, these taste testers have the blandest tastes in the world.
The guy in the red checked shirt seems to hate everything...well, nearly everything.
Dave Ryder, i agree his much of a bitch i think
What is irish food anyway, dont they eat alot sausages
I image giving him something he likes he will still FUCKING SO “EW” XD
He always does
faaaggg
thegsilvia69 . It may be just a slander, but they say that if an Irish person, ANY Irish person, travels internationally, 95% of the time they are smuggling sausages....personally? I think it higher.
3:39 "Tastes like drywall".
Eaten a lot of drywall, have you, lad?"
Those are really delicious foods and I love them.
half the stuff they eat every episode i kinda want to try!
I feel like the octopus they were given wasn't cooked properly if it's ridiculously chewy it's because it was overcooked I like all these dishes except I prefer spicy naengmyeon
I was thinking the same thing about that octopus. Over cooked octopus becomes practically rubber lol. I just wish they were also given a little back story as to why the soup and noodles are cold 😶
강진주 I agree maybe if they were given more information they would have been more open to honestly giving the dishes a fair try
Well, here's your chance now, what's the backstory and why is it cold?
This dish dates back to the Joseon Dinasty, up in Northern Korea. Long story short, cold noodles in any form from using a spicy non-broth sauce, to a cold soup base made with ground up soy bean, to the one you saw in the video is mostly eaten during the summer weather to help cool you down when it's ridiculously hot.
+강진주
That's an interesting comment, River Pearl.
I went to korea and the food is tasty. They didn't give them the good foods.
*김치만 주면어쩌잔거임? 다른음식이랑 같이먹어야죠.. 짜겠다*

happy birthday, watch mr Robot (tv show)
It's my birthday too :D Happyyy birthday!!
thank you!unfortunately i just started watching mr.robot but i will def binge watch it this weekend☺
Happy birthday

See, it's really easy to overcook octopus, so just take it off the heat 30 sec before you think you've gotta
Is it like other fish/seafood where you take it off the heat shortly after starts to turn from clear to opaque?
That would opt for a more tender texture, but octopus needs to be cooked longer to remove the fishy aftertaste of it, so it usually requires 2 or more types of cooking methods to maintain the best texture. In the featured octopus dish in the video, the octopus is washed with flour, quickly boiled (or steamed), and then is introduced to the heated vegetables in the pan.
The ice soup is great on really hot humid days.
I swear, the more I watch of these the more emotionally invested I am.. wtf?
The girl who looks like Kate Hudson is cute, but my favorite is the pairing of the guy and the redhead. They were the best!
Who else would actually eat this 😂😂😂🔥🔥👏🏼
♥️♥️
leave
I eat a lot of Korean. That said, I don't like cold, savory soups.
Cold noodles are for summer on very hot days...
they dont have summer,,
Davey and Ryan put together is the best thing you can ask for XD
My dad tried kimchi once, he told me his brother in law mother was making it at home while they were helping her move into a new house. So my uncle walked over and took a golf ball size of it and ate it. My dad did the same not thinking, and he said he looked like a tick ready to pop while my uncle and his mother were howling with laughter.
You can tell it's mostly South Korean food because North Korea has no food
that's not true. Best Korea is known for its cuisine. Rat is a rare delicacy nowadays, but there's still gravel and pine needles. Heck, last week in Best Korea, someone got to eat some hair. And don't get me started about aborted fetus!
+Asus McTablet I think you mean Real Korea
that red and vlack chekers shirt man foesnt like anything in any video tbh.....
He doesn't like anything. That's his thing.
Yeah, I've mentioned that before too. I think he tries to make it his thing...sort of like an un-funny Eeyore. Not working for him though. More irritating than anything else. At least the others, when they don't like something, are animated about it. He's gotten a little bit better though.
"It's not breaking down!" I laughed so damn hard!
Damn you CZcams! I watched the full Bladerunner trailer even though I could have skipped it, YOU OWE ME!
What is the Seoul purpose of these videos, wouldn't that food just make you kim jong ill. ( puntastic )
Puntastic, indeed. Good one!
***** why didn't I think of that

***** Did I send a Shill down your spine
***** my mam is actually Catholic but she's not super religious, just Irish and most Irish people like myself are raised Catholic
Yup, there's good Korea and a bad Korea; just like there's a good Ireland and a bad Ireland.
Which one is the bad Ireland?
philinator71 the ones on the north are bad, and the ones on the south are..... at least unequipped of nuke bombs
I'm talking about the Irelands.
Arthur Withheld yes. i dont know why they try to make streotype about korean foods
fuck korea ya mong
“Ah....asbestos”
Ryan’s zero fucks given humor is the best.
do a part 2 with tasty korean food like bibimpop and egg rolls and korean bbq
Cabbage without leather jacket guy??
At least give them dolsot bibimbap, kimbap, bulgolgi or Kbbq
Are you having a stroke?!?!
+The Mad Mick it's what the foods are called
Kevin Medina I know, just testing the waters for abit of a laugh :P
Lol, I'm still happy the video was uploaded. Hopefully there will be a part 2 :D
Now you're just making up words. 😏
As someone that is half Irish, half Korean ( somehow we do exist) I find this video AMAZING!!! Plus, there’s nothing more attractive than watching beautiful Irish women eating Korean food.
Yay I LOVE Kimchii!! I had South Korean rommates once!
The guy in the black jacket with the beard. Yes please.
Can't wrap my head around 'Ryan Hate'. I love watching him in these vids. He cracks me the fuck up. Honestly if he bothers you so much, why are you watching?
at what point in this video did he say anything funny?
I like watching these Facts videos, just not him. At least when everyone else has a negative reaction to something they try to spin it into a joke or have some kind of way to make the situation funny. He just sits there moping all the time like, as mar cos puts it, "...a sad sack of shit". Why does he even show up half the time if he looks like he's gonna kill himself after every video.
I don't know which one Ryan is but the pouty guy in green seems like a sad sack of shit who thinks he's too cool for other cultures
augustrunsred Ryan is the one next to him.
You must be his lover.
Neng-myun is a dish originally from North Korea and it is usually served in summertime when the weather is hot (hence the cold broth).
I really think several of the dishes in the video should have been taken with a bowl of rice.
I was stationed 2 years in Korea when I was in the Military.... I'd go to the market and would be astonished on how much inedible food was on offer.. It pretty much says it all when a special occasion meal in a restaurant is Dog....
I don't get why all of these tasters are always grossed out by seafood. They live pretty much on a big island. Personally, I love Korean food. Then again, it's probably because I'm 2nd Gen Korean. Totally own up to my bias.
Because they eat meat, potatoes and Cabbage. seafood is not on their radar.
Actually most Irish people don't eat much seafood! Even though we have really delicious seafood here, like Dublin Bay prawns are in some restaurants in America.
I am Irish. I've learned that despite the fact that we are an island we export the 60% (and sometimes up to 80%) of our sea food to America and Britain.
You finally serve them cabbage and Leather Jacket Guy is nowhere to be found!
I am an older Dutchman. I lived in UK for a while, my wife and me love to visit UK and Ireland and enjoy the preferable homemade dishes, pies etc. Also for nostalgic reasons. We eat at the St. James Gate Pub in Amsterdam too. But I became a Kdrama-addict 12 years ago.. Started with trying Korean Food immidiate and learned a lot through these years . Mixing our routines with Korean and sometimes Thai made me lose 35 kilos. This clip is from 2016. Nobody in Holland knew about Korean food. Now, 2021, at least kimchi has the attention on TV-cooking programs, magazines etc. I hope so for these people too ! Anyway , my choice between a Korean or an Irish/ British meal will be Korean for sure .
LOL Love your hair, Lolsky.
WTF the blonde and red head aren't even wearing make up and they are that hot.
Laura's wearing makeup. There's some highlighting and contouring going on for sure. But agreed that they're both gorgeous!
The read head is wearing make-up quite a bit (foundation, bronzer, mascara, highlight and etc.) I'm surprised you couldn't tell.
lol, you men. you literally don't know what makeup looks like. When women aren't wearing bright colors and black eyeliner, you think they have aren't wearing makeup.
Idk, I don't like the idea of make up in general. Unless its like tribal face paint, which is cultural and I understand.
ArthaxtaDaVince777 Yeeeahhh, well, I find that men frequently SAY they don't like it when women wear makeup, and what they really mean is obvious makeup- when they actually SEE women without women they usually say she looks sick or tired or old or ugly.
Is it just me or does the guy in the red & black plaid shit and the guy green shirt always complain?!? Everything is an issue with them. Smh.
The guy in the green shirt definitely doesn't complain all the time. The other guy though? Yes.
It wouldn't be fun if everyone said everything is delicious but conflict and negativity drive views and content.
I can see most of these comments are hate. These people aren't trying to be rude on purpose. They were told to give their honest opinion. I'm irish and honestly I want to go to korea :) The food we eat here is different from food in Korea cause we have American style food if you know what I mean. Example: Fries,Pork, chicken,Fish,Beef, and probably some food you will get in America. But at the same time us irish people are critical and they would give completely honest and sometimes brutal comments. But that doesn't mean you should hate on *All* Irish people :)
laura always has the coolest shirts!
Love kimchie....'mazing
Koreans are referred to as "the Irish of Asia" for reals
They totally are! My Irish-American husband was stationed in Korea when he was in the Army, and he fell in love with the culture, booze, and food. When I asked him what Koreans are like, he said "the Irish of Asia" thing.
why
Like the Irish being oppressed for centuries by the English, we Koreans were oppressed and enslaved by the Japanese and Chinese. The Irish have a rich culture and history, and live in a pretty cold climate most of the year. The same applies to Koreans. We are proud of our history and culture, and it gets very cold in Korea. Like the Irish, we Koreans like to stay warm with good food, good drink, and shared company telling tales that may or may not be true, but as long as it's a good one and the drink flows, that's all that matters.
cause of the drinking culture lol
although i agree with the enslaved/oppressed by japanese thing...china never really oppressed or enslave korea lol I don't know where you learned your history. korea did however pay tributes to china though (since it was the biggest, most powerful country around) but korea was still it's own sovereign nation. As for the written language...korea also adopted that of their own free will much like the japanese did.
also ireland really isn't that cold, nor hot for that matter. UK weather is bizarrely consistent. where as korea is hella cold in winter and hella hot in summer
all cultures like to share food and tell tales...it pretty much the only culturally universal thing that everyone does not just korea and ireland. LOL
every country is proud of their culture and history cause ppl are nationalistic
the only true reason that korea is known as the Irish of Asian is cause of the intense drinking culture.
I wonder how good Irish food is for these people to have such sophisticated palettes...
Bibimbap or ojingeou bokkeum or eumok bokkeum I mean... So many good things! Not to mention their beef ribs, pork ribs, and bulgogi flank or pork belly...
I've had all those before as well...
...and outside of the Kimchi and the Rice-cake dessert, they were all horrible.
Though, the haejang-guk that I know wasn't made from cow bones, but from fish. Complete fish with the skeletons and fish heads still floating in the soup. And the smell of that was enough to clear the an entire dining hall.
스카이큐브 Skycube, it's an opinion. Fishhead soup isn't high on my list of 'tasty things'.
'I've eaten arse.' 😂😂😂😂😂
I realize that. I thought it was funny... Hence the cry laughing emojis...
I want to try it
Should make a video of them eating all the dank Korean food... Or make a video of them trying Korean BBQ.
