Freaking $35 GE Smart Switch connected to my Samsung SmartThings Hub decided that it had enough and started trying to send a morse code signal to the aliens. Lets crack it open and teach those bastards a lesson. - Jak na to + styl

I purchased about 20 switched and outlets made by Jasco around 2017 during my renovation. By today all of them failed. One by one. And no help or even remorse from the customer service. I hate Jasco with all my heart. Will never buy any product made by Jasco or GE (parent company).
I liked your video. My ex-wife just called me up with this same problem and needed my help to try to fix it (over the phone). I told her the switch has probably just gone bad. Your video confirms my suspicion.
Your "funny" clips killed this video. Most people working with these switches aren't 6 year olds.

I woke up this morning turned on the switch and they were flashing like emergency lights. It was hard to find the solution until I found this video. Problem: switch is bad. Got it. Thanks!

Did you ever figure out the root cause?
Was hoping this was a How To Repair video. Replacing the 10uf/25v electrolytic cap next to the coil is what I have read will fix them. With that awesome shop, thought for certain this was a How To.

So why does the lights keeps blinking blue even after reset. I didn’t hear any mention of that😊
Mine is doing this same thing. I pull the tab out at the bottom and the blinking stops, but then I can’t turn the lights on or off. Just bought this house 2 months ago so I’m not sure if it’s still under warranty.
So far my results have been mixed with this switch. Out of six, three have failed. The return process was hard and cost $15 to send it back. Plus you have to show proof of purchase. Buy a new one and use that receipt to send the old one back.
Mine did it brand new out of the box! I figured it meant that I don't have a true neutral on the switch. I will try using it in a box with a true neutral, and see if it works.
How do I bypass the programming? I went away with the z wave produces a year ago. Light worked fine manually. I recently flipped the breaker to install ceiling fans went to flip breaker back on and blue led at the switch blinks but does not turn on lights. It worked before without the automation stuff
It sounds like the switch is trying to find a z wave signal. Not sure if it can be saved...
Mine started flashing after a power outage. I shut off the breaker then disconnected the switch and reconnected it and mine started working again. Guess I got lucky.
Did you end up getting a replacement? I have one of the same switches doing the same thing. I actually have over a dozen of them, I hope this doesn't happen to all of them
Two other ones have failed since I made this video.....
These switches seem to die when the power gets shut down and i live in lowell and it happens all the time. They dont like the surge..

I liked the video :-) I liked the clips.. people need to chill! Bummer about the switch. I have one doing the same thing. Interesting about the comment below about happening after a power failure - Mine broke when I had the breaker off to install another switch on the same breaker. Strange!

Had the same thing start happening this morning. Good idea on the Warranty , I will call them and give it a try. Love the video inserts. Nice job on the video....
The solution is to replace teh C7 10 micro farad capacitor. This has worked with Jasco/GE on/off toggle and paddle switches and wall outlets. Dimmers with the Triac transistor no answer there yet.
