Unfortunately that means that the insulation normally is also as bad as the old brick houses which results in high gas bills. As a foreigner I don't get why they still build houses like this. It is cheap to build like this yes but also not fair to the one who buys it... You pay so much Gas & Electric because the houses in UK can't keep warmth as they are built poorly insulated... Both beautiful properties but you would be completely on show to half of the neighbourhood at virtually all times. There is not one single secluded outdoor area (in either property) so you would also be in full view of the whole area when relaxing outside in the better weather we occasionally have here in England. I think the vendors will be lucky to achieve the asking price. For that amount I definitely wouldn't commit to such a public space.

A decent area of Solihull and the property looks to have a good finish. The 2 areas which were underwhelming for a house with a 1.5 Mill price tag is the skinny staircase and the small garden. If spending that kind of money I'd definitely look around the bottom end of Warwick Road, Park Avenue, or Manor Road kind of area, for much larger and established gardens, in better locations. The compromise being you'd probably lose out on the modern finish.

There's a lot to like in this house. I like that it has a study and the fact that everything is so clean and new and no one has ever lived in it before you. It looks light and spacious and quite characterful. Also plenty of storage and worksurface in the kitchen. Sometimes they look big but when you think you're going to put a kettle and a toaster on it, maybe a knife block etc, there's never enough space left over. Also, big fridge and freezer. I'd actually have the top floor as the main bedroom, as I loved that extra space.

An excellent tour of two beautiful and well designed and constructed homes. I really appreciate the floor plans and your showing the plant and comms rooms. I liked the short tour of the area at the end, too. Thank you very much.
I liked the penguins in the showers and was glad to see the designer didn't turn the pillows into rabbits!
Given the price, I think one of these homes with a garden would be preferable to a London flat.
Keep up your great work! Thank you very much!!!

The first house is by far my favorite from all of your posts/videos. Of course that is subjective and personal. All the rooms are a great size and come with their own hidden personal me time rooms. How great is that!
Can tell a women designed this layout. For the area and UK in general, I think it is priced pretty close to where it should be.

From the age of the houses around these two my impression is that one house use to sit on the plot and they managed to shoe horn two on to it! Obvious when you see the compromised garden of the second house.

Absolutely crazy money for box with postage stamp of a garden. Even my old garden was bigger. I know the area very well. I used to live in Hall green, Birmingham. Literally a spit away from here. Also a spit away (less than 5 miles) from some of the roughest council estates in Birmingham, along with the crime. I sold my house & moved to Ireland. Got a 4 bed farmhouse property with a acre for €95,000.

Solihull has a beautiful high street also. Lovely and quite area, lots of parks. I've lived in London and I now live on the outskirts of Birmingham and I can say I'd much rather buy here than anywhere in London and commute. In fact, when I used to live in London a colleague of mine was commuting from Birmingham and did not have an issue with that at all. You either need a good car or be close to a rail station with a direct line to London.

Nice house.. in Canada, that room off the kitchen is called s "Family room" it's the most used room. The patio at the back could do with some pizzazz by making it covered with space for a TV and BBQ. That would make for great indoor/outdoor flow.
