be sure to volunteer as an poll worker next time then and see how long it takes to count and verify. With the size of US ballots and al the down ballot races 24 hour results seems unlikely. I think you would find that even in races where an winner is declared they still are counting days after to get the final results.

@@niniv2706 Many states declared within 24 hours agreed. But i doubt many if any states finished counting within 24 hours. I will also acknowledge that once an winner is declared by the media it is unlikely to be proven false by the final count. But there are always exceptions. Dewey vs Truman '48 is the obvious example. The state's election official declaration is the only one that matters not media projections. What this all is supposed to say is that election day in any democracy takes longer than an day and always has. A small group of conspiracy theories have thrown time tested procedures and protocols into disarray without demonstrating actual proof of malfeasance.
