In this video we look at the ongoing issues faced by Everton in their owners pursuit of a sale of the club. I think there are major lessons to be learned by fans of Tttenham who want Daniel Levy out of the club as we also look for new investment from a multi cub ownership investor like 777 partners or MSP Capital.

@@sah8956 Depends how you do it. The national carrier for Kazakhstan was profitable every non-Covid year since its inception after it gained independence from the USSR and it's not exactly got a global hub in its home portfolio, has it? It focuses on routes it can make money from (which include Dubai, Germany, Heathrow, Seoul, India and Russia). I flew with them last year to Almaty and they did a great job. The key to running a successful business is not going into battle with people who you will lose to. You don't find Air Astana trying to muscle in on LHR-JFK or LHR-Sydney etc etc. It may be part state-owned, but it pays them taxes, it doesn't drain their coffers.

As a Tottenham Hotspur Fan from afar (Downunder), I understand the entreprenuarial business model that Daniel Levy is following. Also realise that his financial side will always rule his head as a controller of the club. The problem that I see that over the course of many years Levys control has been detrimental and stagnated the footballing side of the club whilst being financially successful as an enterprise for Enich. One trait that virtually all controlling people share, especially CEO's and Chairmans of private companies. They refuse to let go of that control and power as they do not believe or trust people. You would probably know that the Banking industry and Corporate world are full of psychopaths who are CEO's. One good thing about Levy. We know he is very astute and would not jeapardise and take the risk to damage the Tottenham brand. We don't want another Sam Bankman-Fried (FTX) debacle. If he backs Ange I am fine with Levy there, even though many fans have grieviances against him.

Sean (& Bugsy!), thanks as ever for your insightful comments. I am always grateful for your expertise on the financial side of things. Appreciate your fair assessment when it comes to the ownership of THFC going forward. As you rightly say, “Be careful what you wish for …!” Recent history is littered with so called knights in shining armour bleeding clubs dry and selling when it suits them!
At this moment in time, the club is being well run off the pitch, providing the finance for recent managers to spend (not always wisely, I grant you!). However, the results on the pitch have been mediocre to say the least. Levy has to bear responsibility for his managerial appointments, which have until lately been of a knee-jerk reaction. Although he cannot be blamed for decisions made by those managers. I know DL has a reputation for being a control freak but the infrastructure he has put in place of late seems to address this element. That said, he still appears to have the final say when it comes to signing the cheques! I genuinely believe though, that as a Spurs fan himself, he makes important decisions on the basis of what’s best for THFC.

Totally agree with your assessment on Levy and I'd go further, for me he's the best thing that's happened to my club. In 2000 we finished 13th, three places below Charlton. We were a mid table team with a small stadium, a poor training ground and no money. We were never even in the conversation for League titles. Over the last 23 years we have been steadily growing the club without ever risking it. A lack of trophies along the way has been more about luck than a lack of ambition. All the foundations have now been laid, all paid for within our means and not just for now but for decades to come. We are a massive club again and I don't say this in jest, Levy deserves a statue.

If he just came out and said I'm here to increase the value of our investment, and winning cups is not our priority, personally, I'd have far more respect for the man. Instead the narritive from the club over many years just grates, snd you end up feeling they are taking us for a ride. A ride we all spend a lot of time and money on.

Excellent & necessary episode. Impossible to separate the pitch from the administrative office & my opinion is that Mr. Levy has kept the team safe & 1st things 1st. HOWEVER, was Very disappointed w/you & panel in previous show being so completely dismissive & contemptuous toward our women when they are on the verge of doing what the men have been unable to do; winning a cup. We seem to have gotten a real manager and the story of going from the threat of relegation to a cup final in 1 yr. is brilliant in itself. I for 1 was way tired of seeing a team wearing the badge getting the shit kicked out of themselves wk after wk. How great it was to see the camera go to the stands at Tottenham Stadium last Dec. while our women were beating the arsenal (1 more thing the men couldn't do) and seeing Ange sitting together w/Mr Levy supporting the side. As it relates to this episode, dismissing and discouraging the women's game (in 2024!!) and it's ability to grow the bottom line is note helpful in my view. What I was hoping is that you & the other supporter streams would give us is a watch along for this final

Oh, Spurs fans, with hearts so bold,
In the quest for glory untold,
Let not your hopes soar too high,
For the winds of change may pass you by.
    Under Levy's watchful eye,
Where dreams of triumph reach the sky,
Beware, for pain may lie in wait,
As aspirations meet a cruel fate.
The Premier League, a distant dream,
    A trophy's gleam, a fleeting beam,
In Levy's realm, where shadows loom,
Your hopes may wither, your hearts consumed.
So heed this warning, dear Spurs kin,
Let not false hopes lead you in,
For in the realm where dreams take flight,
Lies the bitter truth of sorrow's bite.
In Levy's kingdom, cold and stark,
Where dreams may crumble, hopes disembark,
Tread lightly, for pain may be your guide,
As illusions fade and hopes subside.
Oh, Spurs fans, with passion true,
In the face of trials, stay resolute,
But know that under Levy's reign,
Your dreams may shatter, only pain.
So lower your gaze from lofty heights,
Embrace the truth that dims the lights,
For in the shadows, clarity reigns,
    And in acceptance, resilience gains.
Let not false hopes lead astray,
In Levy's kingdom, where dreams decay,
For in the realm of stark reality,
Lies the essence of true humility.
So hush now, dear Spurs fans, and hear,
The whispers of caution drawing near,
In Levy's realm, where dreams may break,
Find solace in the truth they wake.😭😭😭

I wonder if European football will ever go to a salary cap system. Like many American sports. So many clubs outside the PL cannot afford transfer fees. Maybe if each league decides on a salary cap, they could just trade players instead of paying a transfer fee. It would help smaller clubs that have 1 superstar player. Trade them for 4 or 5 prospects on lower wages. It would also even the playing field as well. We would see more Leicester stories than just the same handful of teams winning their league every season.

However, look at teams like Leicester, Wham, Newcastle and Aston Villa who have all had the embarrassment and heart ache of relegation, something we have never had to deal with in almost 50 years! The fact we have been competitive and had good European runs and now with the stadium and training facilities are in a position to progress massively, these are huge positives for Levy!

Got news for Stel all the attacking shapes and defensive shapes teams play have been in football since 1930-1960’s. So being “found out” isn’t reality. Neither is spending 200$ on 4 or 5 players every year.

So protests across the country by fans against the super league didn't stop it? Arsenal owners didn't back arteta properly when they mass protested against their owners and could now potentially win the league. Levy and the board didn't sack nuno after United game and hearing his name being chanted in the stadium? All these recent news articles of new investment isn't because protesters have put pressure on the owenrs? Newcastle fans protested against theirs and now have the richest owners in the world. Man Utd protested and now him ratcliffe bought it. Saying protests does nothing is ridiculous, doing nothing does nothing. Protests put pressure on in one way or another and until you join us for change at spurs nothing will ever change

@@iHateeeMarmite Like Sean said, the Man Utd n Newcastle fan protests had no impact for years, the owners decided when to sell when they wanted to sell. Levy is obviously incredibly thick skinned and he'll make changes when fan unrest potentially affects his bottom line but he's never going to bow to pressure to sell the club unless there is a HUGE coordinated backlash against him that affects business in a hugely meaningful way.....Our fanbase is so consistently divided that they couldn't even arrange a piss up in a brewery, never mind organise a mass boycott of games to force an ownership change.
