I would like them to not hide Jim leaving the cast. Instead forcing Dr. ROBOTNIK to undergo major shift of charadesign to become Egg shaped. Perfect occasion to recast Dr. EGGMAN into someone who is not only a good actor, capable of reprising Jim's take on the character, but also give him a more accurate body and maybe even a more accurate voice.
Jim was a great Eggman, but certainly not the most Eggman guy out there

From the trailer of sonic 3, we may get the grandfather Robotnik to fight Sonic and his friends and if metal does show up I'll bet Metal will turn and kill the Grandpa Robotnik under Ivo's orders and if Jim does return, we may get introduce to the death egg for a possible 4th movie
I really want shadow and metal sonic to be in the next movie because i predict that through most of the 3rd movie shadow is gonna be against sonic but when metal shows up shadow will team up with sonic to defeat him. there's also this character in the sonic series that for some reason has never been in the games and I want him to be in the movie so he can be brought back to life but if he is the 3rd then there will be too many new characters introduced at at once so hopefully he can make it to 4th movie along with Silver. Anyone ever heard of Scourge the Hedgehog (Anti Sonic) he comes from the planet Anti-Moebius (basically opposite world) where he is the villain instead. if he is in the 4th movie his backstory could be revealed and it goes like this: He used to look the same as sonic and he used to be called Anti Sonic before then turned green and changed his name to finally stop being known just as "sonics evil copy" before he got sent to prison and back in his own universe after sonic defeated him for trying destroy green hills. In the movie he could return after Fiona the fox (Anti-Moebius version of tails) broke him out of jail then when Scourge meets Shadow, he convinces him to team up with him and turn against Sonic by telling him Sonic just views Shadow as a weak, little sidekick convincing Shadow to show Sonic his more than that although he is being fooled but if they defeat Sonic the future will be ruled by Dr. Robotnik or even worse Scourge leading silver to travel to the past to try fix everything thinking it was Sonic that did all the chaos making Silver think he is in the right to kill him. Sonic has to reveal to Silver who the actual threat is so they can together defeat Scourge and tell Shadow Scourge's actual plan which is to take over and rule over everyone including Shadow. The 3 hedgehogs Sonic, Silver and Shadow team up and send Scourge back to prison in Anti-Moebius for good. The character Scourge had so much potential but Sega forgot about him which makes me mad. Welp there's Sonic Movie 4 for you Sega!
Yeah. It would so funny to see Sonic and Shadow argue over who is "fake" and then all of the sudden Metal Sonic interrupts the fight by saying they both are fake and he is the real hedgehog.

It would be cool to see shadow and metal sonic work with egg man together and they both have some sort of rivalry and they race to see who can kidnap sonic, tails, or knuckles and then soon shadow soon gets left behind and eggman and metal sees that and eggman doesn’t care and leave while metal looks down showing some sort of emotion making it a good emotional scene for the new movie and if silver is to join he and sonic would do a quick fight and then it’s most likely they would talk while fighting meaning they will stop and just talk normally and silver would be the Kyle Reese(aka he would help and protect sonic and he is from the future) of sonic the hedgehog

Theory for how metal Sonic could show up: remember that sonic quill Dr Robotnik had on the mushroom planet? well he still had it on him when the death egg was destroyed show if he did survive like many people think he could use that quill to make Metal sonic.

Silver doesn't have time travel powers. That was Mephiles. 🫤 also Gerald and Elise's dad aren't the same person 😭 Shadow's whole thing is him turning into an anti hero so that will more than likely happen. Hopefully they don't do him dirty like they did in sonic boom. I'm hoping with Shadow coming in, we'll also get to see Amy, Metal, and Rouge. They should save Silver until like. Movie 4 or 5.
