    I started reselling late last fall and with this being my first "Summer Slowdown" its very clear why and for some reason no CZcamsr touches on it. The #1 reason is--Its Summer and Hot. People are buying T-shirts(Lower value than a Filson shirt), Shorts (lower value than Jeans) and that's about it. A lot of people will not buy used bathing suits (myself included)and very few coats, sweaters, and jackets sell now (which are the higher value items). I am going to guess very few resellers (if any) make more in July than they do in November. Its probably best to just plan for the summer and budget through it.

      Hi! Great comment and tons of truth to it. Tops and shorts definitely do sell for less overall, but there are tons of bolo brands in tops, shorts, dresses, jumpsuits, etc. + all these strategies that can help combat that “slow down.”
      For us, we’ve never had a summer in 4 summers of a “summer slowdown” because of all of the strategies mentioned in this video - hopefully this will bring value to anyone watching in some way!

    I keep hearing summer slowdown. I must be an anomaly because my sales are better in the summer than winter. I live in AZ and summer items are plentiful. I also source items that sell year round.

      That’s so cool to hear! There are overall indicators of a “summer slowdown” as people do statistically buy less substantial pieces in summer (coats, jackets, long sleeves, thermals, jeans, pants, etc.) but I totally agree that there are always ways to combat it and I’m glad to hear it’s not affecting your business :)

    I am deleting and reworking all my ebay listings this summer. The old listings are definately getting seen because of this.

      That’s a great idea! Reworking and relishing are two huge strategies we used often

    How many days until listings are considered as old/stale, needing to be reworked on each platform (eBay, Posh, Mercari & Depop)?

    • @TrashPandasThrift
      @TrashPandasThrift  Před měsícem +4

      Personally, we prefer to sell all of our items in 90 days or less, so once we pass that 90 - 120 day mark, we’d consider them stale. It depends on how fast your goal is to move your inventory but that would be our way of doing it. :)

    What if you have multi quantity listings with variations and a sales history but it hasn’t sold in the last 90 days..are you better off delisting and losing sales history to refresh the listing as new or reworking current listing without delisting to not lose sales history?

      Hi! Is this a replenishing listing that you have a constant supply of or an item that you happen to find often that normally sells well for you?
