Hi my name is Laurie. Thank you for the information, although it is (at least for me ) easier said than done. I have been trying to sell on depop ( dopamineduzigns ) and now a little on ebay. I source at a north bay dig (bins) garage sales etc. It ia hard to stand out on either platform and make more than a few sales per week. I am having the most difficulty in having faith in investing in style based purchases and since the demographics up here are mainly target and mall shoppers being able to SEE style based garments is an important thing to learn. So thank you again for sharing! I have been considering shopping at SF bins, however being a single female, driving a bmw ,I'm a little nervous of the "neighborhood" . Is is true the SF bins have gaylords that you can purchase for 60 ? And have you guys tried that if so was it worth it?

When you list a strictly style based item do you still put the brand name first in the title or replace it altogether with keywords, and just put the brand name in the item specifics?

A video on materials is a good idea, i recently found a beautiful dress and i didnt list for 2 mo. because it has no brand, i clicked on unbranded and i put key word peasant cottage core 2 days ago and i was surprised i have a lot of views and some watchers on ebay , i hope it sells. Funny story...the shoes at the bins are always banded together and I didn't take this pair apart..they were Rothys and I was excited and then when I got home they were 2 left shoes! UGH...lol. Then even though I always check over everything before I buy it after I toss it in my cart...I guess I need to slow down a little because I brought home a pair of sandals that were 2 different left sandals..same brand...I was so mad as I could have sole them for good money! I sold one pair for $60 already. So...not only look everything over good...but really good...slowing down when you do! I love how you said your pace is slow. I need to learn from that! I make an active effort to be kind, friendly, and courteous, and one in a while, I bring others into my little bubble of good! I wish more resellers on CZcams would be this vocal about the actual amount they make. People need to understand that they will only make about half of what they sell the item for in the end at best. I think it would would help people who hate resellers to understand just how hard they have to work to make a living based on the reality of the numbers. I appreciate you saying this!!

Kristen was my 1st exposure to the Bins on CZcams. I remember her selling bras and other intimates and thinking who buys used bras? Funny, cause I sell them now also.

Shoe cleaning is reserved for marathon CZcams/Netflix watching. I kitted up a rollie cart with shoe cleaning stuff and will roll it in to wherever I watch and just clean and watch. Very relaxing and I agree - peaceful.

Be kind always. We comp and evaluate condition prior to check out. I think about how they will look in the photos. We found a pair of pants that had one leg longer didn’t see that coming

I have found good items in the bottom of the bin also. Another tip “usually” the new bin is filled with the same type of items i.e. baby stuff, tops, coats, so if that is what you’re looking for, stay searching in that bin.

Im on year 26 as a full time seller, started in 1998 when i was 18, So ive seen quite a few sellers come and go. As far as one man show small newer businesses I think Caleb is one of the best. Doing very good

the bins is a scary place! And yes, i tried to touch everything until someone else start digging into the same pile. Last time I put on earbuds and it worked wonders! I was much more relaxed and focused when i tooned out the noise of "breaking glass"...
