When I was a kid, my dad had a big saltwater tank, with fish, coral, etc(anemones too I think.) He brought something home from the wild, and I'm not sure exactly what happened, but it brought something nasty along with it, and literally everything in the tank died. I really don't know if bringing these fish into a pond filled with wild sea water is safe, I don't know if this project puts the fish through unnecessary stress, but exposing them to wild animals certainly seems risky. It looks like a fun idea and all, just saying it doesn't seem like the safest thing for the fish.
These guys are knowledgeable about aquatic life as the entire channel revolves around it. These guys have a passion for fish. They probably do their research. Not to mention, the shop they bought the fish from probably helped advise these guys about what fishes can be placed in the same environment. Plus, after the video, they gave the fish to a friend who could put them in a proper enclosure. This was a temporary video, and the fish are now in a place that's best for them. As someone else pointed out, the ocean wouldn't have been good for them either. I know this is a comment section and anyone can say anything -- and I know advice is always warranted -- but I feel like people are gonna see the OG's comment and immediately decide that the channel just did something irresponsible. I can appreciate the OG comment for giving a word of warning, but at the end of the day I don't believe this channel needs this kind of advice. Maybe other people, but hopefully no one will seriously think about chastising this video.
It seems a little bit on the overall stressful side for the store bought specimens- wouldnt it have been a tad kinda to have just caught some hermits for a few hours and then maybe have some imitation fish toys and such? Like it's a really fun idea but it's also super harsh on the livestock tbh.

im sure you are gone now but you should definitely checkout scalloping next time you are there. There are plenty of guides that will take you out in the area and it's like the best spot in the country to do it.
I'm sure the DNR would have loved to slap a hefty fine on them had they seen it. Bringing non native species to the beach for starters would have been a charge. Stupid kids playing stupid games for stupid prizes.
