Because of Baldermort's breakdown of the Death Korps of Krieg video, I always imagine the Emperor, solemn, perhaps even a little contrite, speaking to every Kriegsman as they enter His light:
"Your lives may be worthless, but you can sell them dearly," has to be the best single sentence summary of the Imperial Guard ever written.
"We're not taking casualties, you're running out of ammo."
Tyranids land on Baal almost destroys Baal.
Can we just appreciate that this rejected Kriegsman just went 1 on 1 with a Terminator-killing Genestealer and came out on top!
I love how the battle is actually just a live fire training exercise.
If the Tyranid wasn't Xenos scum; I'd almost feel sorry for it landing on Krieg... almost.
I guess the “mutation” in him was the ability to freely think. I wouldn’t be surprised especially from Krieg.
This was a good one, Prince. It was properly grimdark, except for the parts where the genestealer kept getting frustrated. That had me giggling.

That must have been the unluckiest Tyranid in the entire hive fleet :) Landing on Krieg. Poor thing
The Glorious Tomb by Guy Haley was a good read. War through the eyes of a Dreadnought.
Such a good story, really captures the brutal and futile feel of a day in the life of a guardsman in 40k, or me as a wagie in current year. Thanks for giving me my fix of grimdark on this gloomy and rainy Monday ABP, you did a great job of this one as always. 🔥🔥🔥
