I don't understand why they keep saying that Dak has all the leverage when that's not the case, if Jerry were to think a little about how he could get rid of Dak and slowly rebuild the team based on defense and with a manager quarterback like Dak but who doesn't "worth" 40 million and in the meantime start looking for a replacement so when that happens they already have a ready-made and competitive team, and if I were Dak I would start worrying about winning in the playoffs because if Dallas lets him go, hopefully it will happen, the rest of the teams know what kind of quarterback he is and I don't think any team is going to offer him anything close to the 60 million he is going to ask for and he would have to settle for a secondary role and much less money
Yeah Jerry could easily say that Cooper Rush is our guy and we are keeping him. Jerry Jones can literally pull the rug since he loves pulling the strings on whoever he wants.

Look at every player to hit the market no matter who they are the best or a one hit wonder. Teams will pay that for him or any QB who hits the market. Look at Kirk Cousins he got top money again.

@@jrod132 that’s not going to happen right away, first they’re gonna try Trey Lance, then when he doesn’t give the results Dak does, they’re gonna bench him and draft a new guy, then it’ll take that guy another 3-4 years to adjust to playing with the Cowboys, then you have to draft him weapons bc these ones will either be gone or retired, it’s a whole about 8 year process everybody’s asking for getting rid of Dak

The Cowboys do dominate teams in the regular season with Dak leading the way. Playoff wins and a Superbowl can very well be won by this team, they are that dangerous too. They just have to put it together one game at a time in the post season
In Mike McCarthy is going to have to do some things that Andy Reid has done being able to make some play calls being able to do things that play is it going to be have to be able to step up to the plate make plays catch the ball see things before it's happening staying Lansing gaps be able to make sure they are on point accurate on defense make sure they are doing the things to set blocks tackle get turnovers bring pressure set the tone no distractions with this team at all

Not sure what the fuss is about. He is under contract for the coming season. Let him play out his contract. He is a good player and we have seen his best, which isn't quite good enough.

Us fans have been asking for Dak to go and the way Jerry’s been moving is actually the first steps of getting ready to move on from him. The media loves to put words in us cowboys fans mouths about what we want and it’s the most frustrating thing. Jerry has been moving just fine this off season with what he got he’s all in on this current team. If we fail again next year we will be big in the market.

Im sorry but you have lost your mind to keep Dak. He's a good quarterback during the regular season. Over the years even though the Cowboys where making the playoffs they continued to pick in around the twenty something pick. They haven't gotten good value for their money. While they were extending other players they pushed a lot of dead cap money down the road. Now the team has to pay for all that dead money and what do they have show for it? No superbowls, no NFC appearance, a quarterback that can't win durning the playoffs, a defensive end who claims he's to tired to make a deep playoff run, a linebacker who is to undersized to play defensive end, a defensive front seven who couldn't stop the run, and yet you have two other players whose contracts are coming up but the so called anlyst want you to pay Dak. No wonder ESPN is loosing viewers.
Crazy how year after year, Dak gets all this flak from the outside, but he simply puts his head down, puts in the work, and leads his team to the playoffs.

If Dak chokes in the 1st half of a playoff game.. or game vs. NFL elite .. You can bank on no comeback. Being a stat leader in the Southland Conference is not the same as stat leader in the SEC.
