- Can a Stanley tumbler actually survive a car fire? We lit a real car on fire with a Stanley cup and a Hydroflask inside it to find out. We wanted to test the viral tiktok of the Stanley surviving a car fire.
Thank you to Bryan for bringing his Red camera and getting those amazing cinematic shots.
Some of the firefighters can be found on instagram

got me too, just like little legos
You are tripping out. Mannnnnn

Stanley owes you a check for this one
Ok
Thank you Mr. Stanley for providing@@mfww.
They're gonna buy him a new 2005 Ford Expedition 😢

Last time I saw the waterjet channel, they were cutting a tarantula in resin in half and licking it. This is a whole other level, TV Quality production. Congrats to the waterjet team!
Modern Myth Buster
yea XDD
Just say it directly: not other, but lame level. No need to save any feelings
@@yaroslavpanych2067 not what I meant. This is great quality!
*wut*
The Stanley still having water in it is wild. That was pretty neat
well... they did just douse the car with water...
@@Bro-trust-me The lid didn't melt completely, so the water from the hose probably didn't get in
@@bibasik7 adding to this, the other cup didnt have any water even after the hose. thats some original stanley water
sadly in about a year it'll go to the upper drawer of popular dishes/coffee mugs
You can throw a plastic water bottle on a fire and the water stays put. Plastic just deforms a bit. I do this when I go camping sometimes
3:32 “That’s not going anywhere”. According to OSHA regulation 69-420 you are legally obligated to say this whenever you strap something down. I’m glad this channel abides by all laws and regulations. Thank you

TRUTH
I mean who doesn't have a mini bed to tuck their Stanley into at night
4:05 you’re really doing a good service here. When human lives are at stake, first responders will know exactly much time they have to save the Stanley before it’s ruined
I'm tremendously impressed that the lead-free Hydroflask held its vacuum against that heat, to the point where the steel buckled under the vacuum force and softening effect of the heat.
My man is going full mythbuster! If mythbusters came from wish.❤❤❤
😎
Mythbusters does come from Wish.... So many of their episodes were debunked before you were even born.
🤔
[Camera pulls back revealing Adam Savage.]
Adam: I'm just here as a thanks for cutting my foil ball. And besides I never miss a good controlled car fire!
5:57 Alternative narration: " The fire looks so dangerous and these guys just walk in slow motion, like it's nothing!"
Years ago I was in controlled house fire in a place where firefighters train. That gives you a whole new perspective on fire. You will never forget it
Ha I just burned up my expedition too, not for a test though this was cause I suck at driving
The fact it was used for training firefighters makes this video a thousand times better than most other videos that just destroy things for so-called "tests".
Up until now, I thought a Stanley cup was a hockey trophy. Thanks for enlightening to a pointless commodity. Love you guys either way. Nice to see such a thing getting tested and destroyed potentially. I say potentially because stuck on a commercial as writing this
Not a sports guy and I thought it was the hockey trophy too. lol
It’s both. It’s not pointless
huge metal bowl and rings of names vs 45 dollar cup
To the Stanley's credit, you guys put it through a lot and it did surprisingly well in the fire test. I use a cheap no-name stainless water bottle and the ability to keep things relatively warm/cool in there is nice. Is it perfect, no. But I got it for like $10 and didn't have to beat anyone up in line for it either!
It's no different
I have an Ozark Trail water bottle I paid like 5$ for at a local thrift store, and it's great, except when it leaks whenever water touches the lid. Maybe it's missing a gasket or something now that I think about it
@@r8gg it does not have a straw topper, but hey... It serves the job well!
@@bouncypear_net worth asking the company about it. Should not be that pricy to fix it up.
My sister has a knockoff stanley that she left in her car for a few weeks as it got it -50 here. It froze solid, and when she took it home it genuinely took more than a day to thaw enough for us to pull the ice chunk out
Thing is, anything filled with water will protect it from fire.
We did a test in the fire service, by filling a disposable plastic cup with water and putting it next to a small kitchen worth of wood on fire in an enclosed space. The cup melted at the top but didnt from the water level below.
theres a vid of a person making soup in a plastic bag over a campfire
Wow this channel is totally underrated dude! Great content, proud to be a new subscriber
I resubscribed. If you can keep this momentum, I will gladly keep pouring my life into watching these vids. It feels like you are finally finding your groove. I thoroughly enjoyed this!
Great video man I really actually enjoyed this one for real
Holy production value Batman! Love the step up
3:20 Camel Towing 😂 bruh
😂😂 yeah I saw that too
Yo, I like the quality of this video I like the style keep it up
So glad to see the water jet channel in the algorithm again loved this one keep up the great work!!
impressive results, actually a cool through test. also holy heck you cranked the production quality up to 11 here. nice job!
Excellent concept for a video!
You’re carrying the waterjet channel torch proudly 🤙🤙
WHO TF NEEDS THAT MANY TUMBLERS/CUPS/COUGERFLASKS?!?! AAAAAAAAAAIIIIIIEEEE!
it's some new mental illness. The zombies receive commands by (satelite?) media, and they obey. These are the same people that wore masks or hoarded toilet paper..
Great vid! One of my favorites ❤
"the truck is going to borrow you" dead💀😂
yo wtf this is actually insanely well done.
Shout out to your bro!!! (Love the video) BUT A FUTURE HERO BEING BORN IS JUST DOPE!
The video turned into an ad for first responders and i dont think they get enough ads so im down 4 it
"I never put out a car fire before so forgive any mistakes."
Buddy you assume I know the right way to put out a car fire.
why the hell does a water bottle need to survive a fire…
I think that Ford will buff out.
Actually held up pretty good, I'm impressed!
Using a waterjet to do real* science** ; I approve of this. More please!
That was such a good video sharing it to my friends because they have too many Stanley’s 😂
Yeah, I'm not planning on leaving my over priced influencer bottle in a fire anytime soon.
“That’s not going anywhere “
Your family is really cool! You all do really fun stuff!
“welcome to utah” so real.
You are so wholesome bro 😭
I feel like this whole channel has become a car fire.
top tier transitions
Not surprised the cups all survived - back when I first started doing backyard furnaces to melt aluminum, I was using cheap, double walled steel cups as crucibles and they would last a half dozen or so melts before they eventually burned through.
This is cool you earned yourself a sub!
“That’s not going anywhere” was a must say
This was a great vidja.
You sir, have earned yourself a subscription. Love the thorough work done in testing this somewhat overrated cup. Convinced to buy one even.
Did the RCA pay you for this hahaha non stop compliments i love it
So what I'm getting from this is that the lid on the Stanley is the what makes it so good.
Aww watching him being so proud of his brother was so wholesome
You just accidentally did a Stanley ad.
damn good video Neilson
I don't understand the Stanley Cup trend at all. Collecting Pokemon cards, okay, but coffee cups? Great Video!
collecting cups is dumb but at least cups are useful
Mob mentality and fomo
I think this guy likes Firefighters more than Stanley cups.
Didnt expect a JerryRigEverything quote for this vid
I wish mythbusters were still around so they could’ve done this myth.
Good video dude
Thats like super cute how proud you are of your brother 😢
That was way better than the test h3 has done. Dan is still crying about the lighter fluid 😂
Emotional support water bottle :D :D
We got dispatched to an MVC about a month ago. This lady in a honda Civic rear-ended a GMC SUV at about 50mph. The civics front end was under the SUV up the rear axle of the SUV. About 3-4 minutes after the call to dispatched, both vehicles were completely engulfed in fire, and it took a minute for fire to put it out completely.
I wish you'd included a Yeti in the side-by-side comparison. Yes, it's because I have like 5 yeti cups at home, but also it was quite a popular brand back in Texas and I wonder how it compares to the other meme brand (Stanley) and the knock-off
Edit: Woah... That transition (the point-cloud one) was sick af, it looks like it was aware of the distance from the camera? How did you do that?
5:39 When I saw this way of walking, I automatically imagined the meme of the virgin walking. And I was surprised to see the same meme in the video. LOL
Video was so good that I'm substriping RIGHT NOW!!
😂
3:20 I thought you'd say "And so we got another tow truck to tow our tow truck."
"Remember kids: The only difference between screwing around & science is writing it down!"
5:39 the virgin walk 💀💀
Nice touch on the JerryRigEverything scratch test @ 2:06
I find the 53 hour test funny. Who is taking anywhere near that long to drink a cup of water
Nice edit
I wish you took the temperatures of the water after the test. Great video :)
"Your precious emotional support water bottle" hahaa got me so good. I love that.
The name on the tow truck! Lol, literally!
“Truck is going to borrow you”💀💀
This is like burning a ballon full of water, the ballon won’t burst.
Utah is holding up the Stanley cup industry right now
How many Adair brothers are there?!? This is starting to get out of hand
I’m not really impressed with Stanley travel cups. I paid $40 for one and it leaks whenever I set it on its side in my motorcycle saddlebag.
Just a thought as I watched, I bet the cups all would not have survived if they did not have water in them. I am basing this on how people put Styrofoam cups onto camp fires and they do not melt because there is water in them! Just a thought!
yall really gotta invite me to some of your tests
Ok
I’m impressed
The real question is ``can it survive an e.v. fire`` those are actually hot, liquid fuel fires are quite tame in comparison... Chuck the stanley in a tesla, you can likely get a tesla for 10$ by now what with the depreciation, and you just kick the damn thing hard enough with a steel tip toe boot, which is likely enough to set `er ablaze over the course of few days... You can set `er to charge after the bump if you want to speed the immolation up...
The fact that this only has 30,000 views in 12 horus is crazy.
with how burnt those got, i think its safe to say that the cup is gone. it still has water, yeah, but i don't wanna drink charred and burnt plastic and steel
THIS IS ARRRRRT!
It’s truly indestructible
I knew that cup didnt survive that girls car fire...
Maybe food coloring in the water to differentiate it between the water bottle and the fire truck?
Dang that’s smart. Sad we didn’t think of that.
- True , but the fact that the knockoff has no water nor both the surviving ( somewhat ) tumbler had their lids unable to be removed without much force , it’s pretty much safe to say the water in the Stanley is the OG .
You could see the water wasn't leaking out that fast when he shook it. Perhaps a small amount of fire hose water got inside, but I would guess that 98% of the water was originally in there because the lid was still intact. So the test is still valid to me.
im impressed with how durable tires are under the intense heat
We have Keaneil Reeves guesthosting the Waterjet Channel today it seems!
Haha! At first I thought you just spelled Keanu's name wrong.😄
I say this every time i see a car fire. Get a fire extinguisher for your car, they come with brackets to install close to the driver seat, even if your car nevee burns down you could stop a fire in another car before it becomes a problem for even the fire department
Looks like the counterfeit is good enough for me.
Just use a gainer tool to scrape the paint more easier next time in the future I enjoy your streams. CZcams channel helps out a lot of research.😊
they use leaded solder to seal the plug onto the bottom of the bottle, its a cheap sealant, compared to tin and silver based ones that would do the same thing
but tin and silver solder would be more used with food interacting parts of the cup, not the bottom seal
Amazing test then what was on tic tok of putting them directly in fire
All the preppies out there will be amazed
I KNEW STANLEY SET UP THE ORIGINAL!!! Thank u for showing us it was an ad and not real.
I think car in the original video wasn't has badly burnt as the car in this video
@@hydethecat9579 they gotcha 😂
@kayleighgroenendal8473 I think the video is real and the company just took the opportunity has free advertisement. Because someone did make video explaining the fire and showing the cup had been in a fire
@@hydethecat9579 yea I saw that video, that could have been bought too. Nothing is honest about capitalism
@kayleighgroenendal8473 they kind of just used her. Horrible accident you know stanley cup survived . Company see it and turns it in away so they get free advertising from social media new networks for free all they had to do replace a car
The lead gives it extra protection!
