When I saw the surf I'm thinking ...Time to get wet....LOL!! That's one of the biggest species I've seen you boat..... great use of the beaded chain rig..it definitely stops the bait from spiraling!!

Epic fight man. Us city people cannot even conceive of going out in the cold North Pacific on a 15’ by 30” human powered boat 🚣♂️ and taking on a over 20 lb beast for more than 20 min. Great job👍 landing it.

i want to recommend ginger. many times natural remedies are really just placebo medicine, but ginger has solid evidence that its effective for motion sickness. it works for me. i make a quart of strong ginger tea by simply slicing up about 3 ounces (a lot) of fresh ginger and boil/simmer it for 30 minutes in about 5 quarts of water, add honey and enjoy. as anti motion sickness medicine, i start drinking it the night before and keep going though out the fishing day. i went out on a nice charter for salmon just the other day and the guy right next to me had a little lock n lock filled with chunks of raw ginger that he would chew and suck on piece after piece all day. neither of us had the slightest motion sickness but both have had bad experiences in the past.
Thank you very much for the info. The other viewer recommended Candied Ginger and I have read that ginger works for sea sickness. I'll definitely try both candied ginger and ginger tea. 👍😀👍

@@limirl That's too bad it didn't work for you. I read that it works for some but doesn't work for everyone. Kind of like Dramamine works for me but Meclizine doesn't. I really hope ginger works for me. I do hate the drowsiness I get from dramamine.

What a great fight....Nice! Subbed! I fish for Great Lakes salmon....similar but different. Your on much bigger water have to deal with sharks and seals. I don’t have those challenges. Tight Lines
Shark attacks rarely happen. On average, maybe once or twice a year out of tens of thousands kayakers that are out on the water in a year. Odds are pretty slim but still happens. Sea Lions on the the other hand are notorious for stealing your fish LOL

It was store bought. Trader Joe’s and Whole Foods have it. I ate one little chunk and felt instantly better and I was lucky because we hadn’t even reached the Farolones.

Ever consider using a pole light/safety light on your kayak? Just curious with choppy waters hiding visibility.
Yes I have used light/flag pole in the past and I use it when I'm on the water in the dark. Yes it does definitely increase your visibility.
