  • Starting from Loch Quioch Dam,I took the path you would normally take to go for Gairich and headed through the forrest into Glen Kingie.

    Another quiet hike by the looks of it Andy. I’ve not done these yet but it’s got the archetypal Scottish look and mountains in all directions. Love it. Richard.

      Thanks Andrew,don't think there is an easy way in for this one whichever route u choose.I'm led to believe this is the 3rd least visited Munro out of all of them.🤣👍

    Good stuff Andy. I see you decided against your original plan for the bike. Great walk up glen Kingie, really nice area, but knackering on the way back.

      So glad I never went with the bike Andy.Firstly there is no place to pull in to get it off the roof of the car .Signs up and big boulders placed at parts of the road to stop u parking at the side.2ndly the track from the forest on to the footbridge is very rough, very boggy and goes up and down all the time.I would have came off it several times without a doubt.😱😱

    Nice one Andy! Even though it was clagged in you still got some cracking views! That’s a long old day! Do you recommend this route rather than the normal WHighlands route? Paul

    • @AndyOB
      @AndyOB  Před 11 měsíci

      The Walkhighlands route will be a tough day as well Paul.I wasn't for driving that road in along Loch Arkaig again hence going in this way.Seems a lot of folk are taking the kayak option over Loch Quioch.Looked at a bike hike route for this as well and i'm glad i didn't try it as it's too rough/boggy up and downy for me in there.😀

    Loved that Andy👍 that was a shift and a half mate.11hrs and some. Is that a shorter route than coming in from the walk highlands route.? I kinda liked the cloudy views from the summit👍 some lovely photos in there as well Andy.📷👍
    How was your foot after it.?
    I’m still favouring Kayaking in from loch Quoich on a nice flat calm day.
    Well done again Andy another one ticked off.👏👏

      Thanks Frank,foot holding out well.Trail shoes/mids has made a big difference to me rather than boots.Think the kayak option is deffo the way to do this.If i had access to one i would have went that way.😃👍
