The Power Wagon does not have coilover suspension. It’s a solid axle AAM9.25 coil spring radius arm. Your Rebel is upper and lower wishbone control arm with coilovers. Huge difference. Not even close.
Drove both. The Rebel feels like a nice off road Cadillac. But, I'd opt for the PW just because I do some towing and the PW would suit me better with a stiffer rear.
I'd personally go rebel out of these two, I'm not an off road guy, and if I was it wouldn't be a heavy duty work environment. The rebels interior is so slick and the looks just outweigh the options on the PW for me. Great video.
MarkPharaoh Are we just going to ignore the fact his truck looks like a Christmas tree. green on the outside and red on the inside no one else thinks that’s odd?
Rebel is really nice and spacious. Have a 6.4 liter tradesman 2017. Great power train. Power wagon set up gives up too much of the towing capacity which the power train is capable of providing. Great job thanks for this video.
I wish i could afford a power wagon.... also wish it had a manual transmission 😥😪 i do love my dakotas 01 4.7L 5speed manual transmission 4wd sport- 132k miles rusty but a tank- 07 4.7LHO 6-speed manual transmission 4wd SLT package ext cab 4wd.... i love both these trucks the 07 is at 200k+ miles and just a wonderful work horse- now both them ran 14.5 sec in the 1/4 at around 90+mph and well the rpm tach just pegged lol yeah i wish i can get the power wagon always wanted one. All mopar i do have a ram2500 5.7L hemi its an 03 guess be the closest thing ill ever get to owning one
Do you think that FCA does this on purpose so that people eventually buy the 2500....a RAM 1500 Rebel has no 360 top view (which is just basically software) and no ventilated seats but the RAM 2500 Power Wagon which is actually a 2500 Rebel has this "missing" options that we want in the 1500 Rebel...but lacks the pano-roof, air suspension, new steeringwheel layout and does not have the 4 way steering wheel adjustments...
I own a 2018 power wagon. I’ve been in both the rebel and wagon. The wagon is straight up heavy duty. You can tell when you drive. Although both trucks come with 33’s the wagons are wider. The rebel will break or overheat off road. The fact the power wagon is has basically a 1 ton frame and axles should tell you it isn’t a toy. The wagon can fit 37” tires under the stock suspension with minimum rubbing. Please try and do that with the rebel. Lol
Plus with the wagon you haves transfer case! Here is a trick. Go to rams website and build a ram. Select a ram 2500 tradesman and select power wagon package. You get all the goodies on a low trim level. You can get that truck down to 42000.
Plus you get a higher quality T-case, stock wench, better shocks, and a disconnecting front sway bar like Jeep Rubi. Plus you can get vented seats, the Rebel doesn’t get that even with the 12 package.
If your not going to take the truck offroad then get the rebel. The power wagon is a purpose built vehicle. But when properly equipped it does tow more then the rebel. The rebel is a better all around truck, but the way most are equipped on the lot they are no where near the tow rating as advertised. Along with the payload
I personaly wouldn't buy either Rebel or Power Wagon. It's because Rebel is like a better looking 1500, it isn't much faster than normal versions. Also, 2500 is too big for a sport/offroad truck. (It's my opinion)
love to have a power wagon, but that ugly grill. i think i could take a grill from a tradesman ST truck and swap it with the power wagon. since the grills on 2500 all have the same design around the outside edge of grill i don't see why the all would not have the same mounting locations
I agree with you, it's a draw. Great analysis and comparison. You should have cleaned up your Rebel though before you made the video, I mean what's the hurry?! Yeah, its an offroader but still, the aesthetics for a video.
wait wait wait.... did i hear that right? the power wagon cant even tow 10k lbs .... like HOW THE FK is it a heavy duty truck then? like ??? isnt that the point of HD trucks that you're going to be hauling and towing things for work.... like why would that be outdone by a GD half ton truck ???
He was wrong, and the official numbers are drastically reduced due to the auto disconnecting sway bar.... A liability issue, but the truck is more than capable at double the payload and 15,000 lbs towing.
READ YOUR OWNERS MANUAL..AROUND PAGE 198..IT SHOULD ADVISE MID TO HIGH OCTANE FUEL ONLY..MY 2013 4X2 ALWAYS RAN 25 MPG PLUS IN TOWN AND A LOT BETTER ON HIWAY..AT 125 MPH IT BARELY USED ANY FUEL..
Actually it really isn’t. The Raptor isn’t just a fancy appearance pack like the Rebel, it would set you back about $40,000 worth of upgrades to match it. The Power Wagon Isn’t quite that level, but for a Heavy Duty truck with hardware on level with a Jeep Rubicon I would say that’s decent price specially considering the other goodies. The Shelby is better example of overpriced. $100k for a suspension tune and a super charger? Just get the Rousch Nitemare
Both are built by fiat. Ram is long gone. I own a rebel. Don’t by either. Lots of issues. Fiat is the worst for service and warranty. Air suspension. Hemi tick. Key fob. Info screen glitches. On and on. My 3 rd new ram and last. This is fiat with a ram name
People keep commenting compare the rebel and power wagon to a ford f-150 raptor. You can’t compare a raptor to a power wagon. Two completely different vehicles. Different frames and built for different purposes. It’s like comparing apples to oranges.
Blimey, how much coffee did you have, that day. Spitting words out like a machine gun does bullets. Also, rapid and random camera shots. Enough to give a fighter pilot, motion sickness. Slow down, take a breath. Allow the camera to focus. We do not need to see every single button in operation; assuming you steadied the camera long to allow us to actually see it! What would be great, are some nice wide angle shots, showing the vehicles as they would be presented by the press. Similarly, the facts and figures, with relevant points of interest. And finally, you views both appraisal and criticisms. I've watched a lot of your reviews, but this one was manic. I'd love to see this redone, taking your time.

I rlly like the power wagon but it lacks its payload and towing abilitys but at least has a 6.4 v8
The suspension is designed to be soft for off road performance, naturally its payload will be lower
Power Wagon with Rebel's interior would be my pick!
Dude that black part isnt a light. Its your blind spit monitoring system.
Great comparaison between the two trucks! Thank you!

Nothing airbags and tow rated tires would solve, although if you off road a lot I wouldn’t recommend it.
is that the Buddy the Elf Appearance Group II on the Rebel?
Dave Wilson full Christmas spec🎅🏻
You gotta be crazy to pay 60k for a Rebel. It's less truck for more money. My dealership sells POWAWAGONS for 58k out the door.

Solid axle vs independent, solid axle wins in durability
Power Wagon has 17" rims. Rebel also got a lift from the factory.
For off road capability, the Power Wagon is at the top step of the latter. I wont have anything else.
That 392 hemi had a deeper v8 tone and growl in the beginning even tho its chugging 87 octane
6.4 liter takes 91 octane in my charger
@@eye8359 Yup! My Charger Scat requires 91 octane, but my Power Wagon only requires 87 - 89. Scat is high output.

Vancovermycity agreed
Vancovermycity not nearly as capable or fun though.

How do you have less legroom in the Power Wagon? Oh and the interior of the Wagon is just as nice!
Jack Christiansen because the power wagon is built on the older truck platform
I will need to check that, the cab is the same and typically platform is undercarriage.
Power Wagon, It is what it is.
1/2 tonne truck better on towing than 3/4 tonne? Huh.
How tall do you have to be to be able to actually use the Ram boxes on the Wagon?
6'4"
Whats the offroad perfomance difference ?
How do you use the hdc? Ive got a 19 rebel but when press the hdc button it says unavailable
I like the Power Wagon but it's such a bummer they didn't update the cab like they did on the 1500. Seems like Ram skimped on that.
