  • This 34mm Marathon field watch may sound super small, but it wears lovely on my wrist. Smaller watches are continuing to become more popular is there such a thing as too small? This Marathon watch definitely isn't that!

I have the mechanical version of this watch. I wear it every night, and I absolutely love it.

I wear my dad’s Datejust 36 which is actually only 34 without the crown and it looks fine on my 19cm wrist. Huge watches look just as weird as tiny ones in the wrong size wrists. Anything that isn’t either end of the spectrum is fine

My most treasured watch is my 1973 Omega Chronostop. It’s 34mm, and wears beautifully on my 7.5” wrist. I also regularly wear my 37mm Seiko 5s (the SNK80x variants) - I enjoy wearing something small, unobtrusive and highly legible. Often been tempted by one of those Marathons!

Agreed - whilst some days it's definitely good to feel the heft of a chunky watch... other days that invisible feeling of a 34/37 just hits the spot 🙌....the marathon is an interesting piece, I'm not sure I'll keep it but it's good fun 👍

People put too much attention on sizes and how the look in someone else's eyes. Small watches have many advantages; in this case, it's historically correct and a way smaller volume to hit and scratch by mistake.
