2.5" Carli leveling system install and review, 2021 Ram 3500

  • My Dad recently picked up a 2021 Ram 3500. We were both a little disappointed in how rough it road at first. After doing some research, Carli suspension seems to be the top dog when it comes to getting these trucks to ride good. So he ordered up their Leveling system with Fox shocks ( part # CS-DLEVEL-1319-D) from CJC offroad. Additionally, he got an adjustable track bar to recenter the axel after the leveling kit. I did not install it during this video because it hasn't arrived yet and I wanted to get the big part done while I could.
    I walk through every step of the install. I'm not a professional, but I do my best. Hope this helps anyone interested in buying the kit or who already has it.
    Review is at the end of video.

    All I can say is that aside from this informative video. I must say, I have to appreciate that for you being a younger adult or teen, you are very well raised to do that lift for your dad. Nice job man!

    There are far too many "professional" videos that are not worth subscribing to or even watching to the end. I'm glad to say that I watched this entire video, liked, and subscribed! Extremely well done and I cannot think of anything to suggest to make the video any better. Frankly, I'm looking forward to more content and maybe some sponsors to provide some equipment in the future. ;-)

    Thanks for the video man. I think that fact that you saw 3.5 in lift instead of 2.5 is due to the fact that you have a Regular Cab Tradesman. That's a lot less weight vs. a fully loaded Mega Cab Limited. My 2022 3500 CTD HO Limited will be here on 3/10. Can't wait. Will definitely be giving it the Carli treatment with 37s. Much appreciated!

    Fyi, you don’t need to drop the the drive shaft. Unbolt the axle side trac bar end and will have full droop. Also front shocks install, install bottom bolt and compress down and move top in position in one motion. Anyways looks good. 👍

    Thanks for the video. Great to see young guys working on their own vehicles. Question though, are you certain the shock body on the rear doesn’t go toward the bottom? Curious, because on CJC’s CZcams page it shows the shock body roadside on a 2.5” Carli Leveling kit. (Edit: spoke with CJC tech support 6/03/22. The shock body should be roadside for the rear shock orientation). Just thought I’d post so viewers get it right

  • @jakel5159
    @jakel5159 Před 2 lety

    Hmm, I have a 2500 mega cab coming with the 2.5 kit. I wonder if the mega cab weight will be enough to bring the front down a little bit closer to dead level without touching the rear springs. otherwise that half an inch is gonna bother me.

    • @madmax24v
      @madmax24v  Před 2 lety +1

      I can’t tell you for sure that it will. But I don’t think it would drop it much. This truck is light because it’s a single cab.

    You should disconnect the track bar when installing the new springs. You also need an adjustable track bar. Your front axle will be off center now. The truck will look like it’s going down the road sideways.
