THE COACH
Patrick - Sport
You said "Failing is just information on how to improve". The sounds really good. Thank you.
Such a great guy đ„°
So inspiring Patrick, thank you for sharing. Iâm 60 and took up tennis 8 years ago. I have weekly lessons and play social comp. I love the challenge of learning and getting to be the best I can be. One day I hope to attend a camp at your academy. Itâs my long term goal! đđŸđ
Iâm 52 and just started tennis about 9 months ago. I look forward to being 60 like you with the same positivity and desire to learn more!
@@davebeery_youtube thanks David. Thatâs fantastic! Such a wonderful sport to grow older with. Keep it up and enjoy! đ€©đŸ
This is brilliant advice.
This is a fantastic video ! Loved every minute of it â€
We never had great mental and physical tennis lessons growing up. If I had this guy at least 3 Wimbledon trophy in my hands.
Best inspirational talk I've heard. Full of precision and passion. I'll play this everytime I need a pep talk!
I appreciate you making such high quality videos, Patrick!
I really like all the persuasions "tricks". You should write a book about it. I heard that in 1996 Sampras came to the French Open and practiced with young French players not as good as him (like around 500) and they were all winning. He was just trying different things, did not care about the opponent, the results.... He went to semis! This is confidence! Thx Patrick!

ă©ăăăăăăšăïŒïŒăThank you so much.
One of the best life talks Iâve ever seen.
Thanks! That helps a lot to work on my mind set.
Hello Patrick, it is not only about Tennis. It's more about life and I feel it's very spiritual. Thanks for this wonderful video Coach!!!
Great great great âŁïžthank you âŁïž
Thank you so much for this. Really needed it.
I have been sharing your videos with my son who is 11 and playing Tennis. So many golden nuggets!!! love it :)
Merci beaucoup Patrick! Your English is excellentđ and the discussion is awesome. I started practising tennis against the practice wall in 2021, I am improving a lot with your videos. Also, at age 55 in 2022, I started learning French đ„ł very true, one must keep going, keep chasing your dreamsđ no matter your age, you will find a way if you have a very strong reason for wanting it. đ
Love from India.. Great advise
Gracias
Best lesson for tennis and even greater lesson of life. You are a great great coach and inspiration. Thank you. đ
Thank you for these extremely important and true advice! I live by this every day!
Patrick brings up lots of wisdom and insights. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
I had a ski instructor tell me when I was very young that I would be a beginner until I fell at least 1000 times. Tennis is very much the same way. If you don't miss shots it's because you're not taking shots. For me the challenge is learning when to take the shots and when not to. Although, as an old guy, I find taking the shots cuts down on my running, so the calculus is different. I just love being on the court...and that's success.
As a former Nick Bolletieri protege (same time in 1985 with Andre Agassi who I used to beat back then), I learned so much from my coach. Now as I return to the game professionally at 59 years young (not having played in almost 40 years), Iâve turned to you as my mentor and coach. On line. It is my dream to train at your academy and for you to witness the hardest forehand in the world still (yes, nick said he had never seen a harder forehand in his life), and to get fit enough mentally and physically so I can achieve (finally) my dream and potential: to be ATP ranked and to end up qualifying for Roland Garros. I wish to inspire people my age to believe it is all possible with hard work and dedication to the dream you wish to realise. If I had the extra money Iâd come to your academy. One day youâll read this and invite me and youâll get me to my dream and a whole generation of over 40âs will play the best serious tennis possible after I achieve what I shall. Thanks Coach Patrick. I look forward to hearing from you đđŸđ€đ
my idol :)
Thank you for the words of wisdom. Just exactly what I need to hear today. I will definitely watch it again tomorrow.
Absolutely! People are taught not to make mistakes and not to fail from early ages, from school. As a result they are afraid of doing wrong and fail. But it's impossible to reach something without fails and mistakes. You can not learn how to ride a bicycle without falling at first steps. Fails make us closer to our goals and are an important part of the way to success. When you see a big success, always ask yourself, how many times this man failed, before he finally reached it.

Great lesson, Patrick!
Superb!!!
This reminded me of your podcast with Gary Vee. I love just hearing you share your thoughts
Great talk. Should help everyone.
Agree with some points, some points look interesting! Thank you for this
Keep it up!
Patrick is brilliant as always! đđ€
Patrick, you're an intellectual and emotional genius!
Love this guy.
One of the best thing I have ever heard in my life.
The glass half full or empty explanation story should be a disclaimer for every tv journalist interviewing an athlete. It explains why they never say themselves bluntly I did this and this wrong. It not the journalist his fault either his job it to talk about those mistakes if they happen if both sides would give a little. Knowing why it is happening helps so many frustrated social media too.
best video ever!
Bravo!
Thanks for explaining success
Super Video. Clearly doesn't only apply to tennis but any activity someone decides to take on in life. Good luck everyone
Agree
Please write a book patrick đ
You're right about Ronaldo and it's a great example of Portuguese mindset
C'est dommage il n'y a pas de sous titré en français
#4 is the one which I've always missed from my life đ
are you kidding me? last time i saw THIS MANY cuts in a clip, it was a caricature ;)
This is what we have all learned from Serena
C'est un menteur, il copie sur les autres entraĂźneurs en particulier les parents qui sont entraĂźneurs.
C'est un manipulateur, il ne connaĂźt rien.

Very interesting discourse but... this video must have been realized by joining a bezillion cuts. Must have been a real editing nightmare. Unfortunately, it affects the rythm to the point where Patrick looks like an unsufferable "verbomoteur". Pauses, just like in tennis, are a good thing.
