CZcams and Google are always at work keeping their products safe. If you don't know that, that's because you don't know how to read or you just don't care! The reality is CZcams deletes millions of fake accounts everyday. Which is more than you can say for Facebook and Twitter. CZcams is actually one of the few social media apps that actually do care about the wellness of their users and spam on their platform.

Back when I worked IT at a college people would change their name to invalid characters and emojis. One drunk guy turned his name into the imp/devil emoji. Another person to be clever turned their preferred name (what instructors saw as what they want to be called) to invalid space characters that just showed up as endless spacebars. One of those situations actually fully broke the guy's account and we had to have our database admin remove the characters from thier name and add restrictions to it during the validation check when someone enters a preferred name. People do some whacky stuff to get passed security and mess with others.

    *_[personal opinion]_*
youtube would be a *completely different place* _if_ it has "reddit features" like ip banning/shadowbanning (also getting restricted if you use vpn but i think it would be ironic), 'vote' verifying (if the like/dislike is truly *yours* and *not* from alts), dislike count in comments (i _personally_ like downvoted comments getting collapsed from being viewed)
in youtube video views, it should *only* _count_ from the subscribers (e.g 768k/2.84m) and *not* from those who are unsubscribed (i guess?)
glad to see youtube actually improving and doing something

Thanks for making You Tube Comment Spammer Deleter. I've noticed no updates lately and I hope you're tracking to see when updates are needed. It seems a lot of creators aren't technically advanced enough to know how to police their own channels. I've used Spammer Deleter to monitor four other channels with up to 20% spammer/scammer posts. After a couple of weeks just reporting the scammers, since I can't delete posts on their channels, the number of spammer/scammers drops to around zero. Although CZcams has made only feeble efforts to prevent the problem, they seem to take reported posts seriously and have banned the posters responsible. It also seems like the scammer/spammers blacklist the channels I've monitored so they don't come back under a new name, which I will crisp with your great You Tube Comment Spammer Deleter.
Now there's a parallel problem with Live Stream spammers, which your program doesn't handle. Any possibility of developing a similar tool for livestream comment windows?

The recent change to forcing comments to the side is a big problem for me. NOT because I aesthetically dislike it (I do) and can't adapt (I can) but because they've also drastically reduced the scaling options of the video window as the browser is resized. The embedded video window used to scale linearly with no limit as the browser was resized. NOW, it rescales to a limit and then stops, with whitespace beside the comments section just taking up the excess. Before I could utilize whatever screen real estate I wished for the video, now I have just two options, 1) whatever tiny "max" size CZcams deems suitable or 2) full screen.
These damn companies just don't give a fig for users,.. when is removing OPTIONS a good idea? You can be sure this change has one and only one reason, to allow them to promote paid for content more prominently and permanently

A more subtle menace I noticed lately are generated comments from commenters with normal human names. This often happens on finance / crypto videos: top poster brags about insane gains or gives us his view of the market or asks a question about how to get rich. Then repliers start dropping financial guru names. It's a whole bot hive with the goal of promotion. The pattern to me is obvious but it could fool a lot of people and I don't see how a spam detector would be developed without training a neural network on this type of spam.

When are they going to stop spammers from spamming users trying to trick them into believing they won something and putting a suspect web page in the spam?

Especially when they've been reported hundreds or thousands of times...

One of the latest SPAM methods I have noticed, since YT's new changes, is one account, that is only say, 6months old, and like one subscriber, will post on a page. Then, what seems to be a sock puppet by that same person, or another in their team, will post under that comment, again, a new account, with low activity, and answer that comment.
For example, on a page, a scammer will post something like ''I wish I knew how to invest in crypto'', and then under that comment another account will answer ''Hey, I know this great investor who will help you''. The biggest problem with this scam attack is that under the original scam comment, is not only the other sock puppet scam answer account, but a bunch of people that are not scammers. We would have to delete not only the scammer, but the people under the original scammer comment, who are not involved in the scam.
In my opinion, it would be best to delete the original scam comment. And all the comments under it, even if some of them are not part of the scam, because if they are not part of the scam, then they are falling for it. By deleting the original comment, and the entire thread under it, would we be getting rid of the scammer, and protecting those who did not realize that it was a scam?
As of right now, I don't see how YT will be able to deal with this new attack. Good job on YT for upping the game, but it will always be on us to help to stop these scammers.

I've seen some shorts channels post the same video tens or hundreds of times. Maybe a new thing for YT to work on...

Nothing will be perfect, but this is a really good step. I'm pretty sure I'm already seeing less comment spam on channels I frequent.

I just don't get how almost every real comment I put on any video gets deleted but the comments sections are always full of adult links and fake links.
For starters, just don't allow links in comments, and certainly don't add automatic links to text. Wouldn't stop all of them but would make quite a big difference.

I can't find the video uploaded date after opening the video on desktop.
    > I want to know how old is this video and if i had already watched it.
    > I think youtube removed video uploaded date from videos - Not a welcome change
Could anyone confirm if that's the case?

Well, I am very thankful for their help... But a LION's share of the kudos go to you and those like you that keep pressing this forward otherwise it would never have happened. You know they were slow to fix this because spam or good comment, comments generate revenue... So, following the money, it is not to hard to see why they played dumb for so long.
