Hello Im Lance (aka Bundy Bear) and doing these videos is my hobby. I do own Queensland Tractor Spares in Australia where I sell parts and offer technical advise to customers.
Parts seen in our videos can be purchased from www.queenslandt...
We have a lot more than we can offer on our web site available to us and in our store. If you dont see what you would like please email info@queenslandtractorspares.com.au and we will help where we can.
I do try and help with technical advise at bundybearsshed@gmail.com if you have a question or are having trouble with your project.
Great Video Lance. These are the sorts of videos that make us constantly view your channel - Good Old Fashioned "Olden' Days Know-How" 👍
Glad you enjoyed it, more to come soon hopefully
Few manufacturing companies use space here and that is one the great way to set preload or end float because one has nothing to do as everything remains within the predetermined setting. But in conditions like this without spacer great tutorial by the experienced guy.
Thankyou.
Good morning from Canada. Nice to see the repair videos again. This proccedue also works on small trailers. Keep up the good work, and i hope you get your rain.
Thanks 👍 Yes we need it still.
Thank you so much! Now I feel confident enough to change my rim where the studs spun.
Glad it helped
Seen a few comments on the discs used to insert the races. Did mine at the weekend and panicked when I didn't have anything to drive the inner (larger) race home. Not sure if this is by design but the hub-caps worked perfectly - exactly the right size and the threads don't touch the race! Your mileage may vary but it worked for me!
Thanks Mike that is something I never knew. You never stop learning when playing with tractors.
Thanks Lance,
Great video on the wheel bearings.
I was taught to pack some grease in the cap also.
Cheers,
Paul.
We did that in my apprenticeship in the shop but the general opinion now is that it doesnt help. But in saying that Im sure it wouldnt cause any harm either.
Hi Lance,Have done loads of wheel bearings in my time,But love your videos showing others who My not have done the job before how it’s done correctly.
Thanks 👍
Thank’s for your help. Cheers!
Glad it helps
Excellent video Lance, looking really good!
Thank you! Cheers!
Thank You! Excellent
You are welcome!
I have a bearing packer with which you use a grease gun to pack the bearings, but I find it's much quicker and easier to pack them by hand, as you did. Often times the old way is the best way.
I could not ever get on well with those so the hand it is.
Thank you Sir for the video.
You are welcome
Nice work Lance. You don’t feel like coming to Melbourne and doing a water pump change out in a Mazda CX-5 for me 😂
No way!, lol .
I'd love to see you pop that whole spindle assembly and show us how to fix one and take out all that slop
Video there very soon, probably today.
@@BundyBearsShed sir you are the man!!!!!! I was reading how to do it and all the talk about hone'n the bushings to perfect the fit..... I was like I just need to see it done
...nice...nice..video .. un excelente video gracias por compartirlo
Thankyou.
I watched this then went out and stripped the hubs off to inspect the bearings and adjust the slack, these videos take out the worry of tackling a job you've never done before with a degree of confidence, thanks Lance. one thing I found were my bearings remained in the hub when i removed it, is the normal yours seem to have separated when you pulled the hub from the king pin?
Yes at times they stay, thats not a problem.
Great video 🤠
Glad you enjoyed
Well this just made my day! :D
That was easy then, lol.
Another great video Lance! So where do you find these punch disks. Not sure if that’s what they’re called but I sure could use a set.
They are just a cheap set from either E bay or Amazon, I have seen them in both places.
Great video thanks Lance
Glad you enjoyed it
Thank you for video. I will replace bearings on my Leyland 154.
Glad to help
@@BundyBearsShed i have a 2005 terrimite t5c do u think it will work on it
great, thanks for uploading
You're welcome
Do you fill that hub with oil
A bit of grease not oil nowadays.
What is its end float setting by manufacturer?
They just give a torque on the nut, so no end float or a torque wouldnt be possible.
Great video Lance - thanks for putting it together. Where did you get your 49mm and 62mm metal cups from? Can't find them anywhere in the UK! Cheers
They are a kit from E Bay
@@BundyBearsShed Cheers Lance. Any idea what I should be searching for?
Found them - I searched for 'bearing race driver kit'
First , thanks
Well done
