You sound so much like my grandpa when he used to try to teach me about working on and rebuilding lawnmowers. And yes, "wallered out" was one of his terms. It made me smile and think of him this morning.

The sound from the hammer when everything is seated correct is quite satisfying. Great tips and the explanations are perfect. I am working on a 1952 W4 McCormick IH. My dad bought it new in 1952. I am a novice and need all the help I can get. I am really happy I found this channel.

We got an International but basically the same. You look almost exactly like my dad and wear his dad's coveralls. My Grandpa Carpenter was never without them.. Except Sundays.
He loved Jesus my grandpa Carp did. He died the last couple years and told his wife, my Grandma & my dad's mom he was goin to see Gregory and Grandma followed short after. We are under Feuhr Whitmer's Dictatorship here in Michigan. Them FBI only did what she knew she had coming so they could have an inside info to stop what she deserves.

As a child I spent hours with my grandpa as he worked on his car. He let me help and explained as he went. I was under the car and under the hood right along with him. I have my grandpas Hammer like yours and is at Least 70 years old or older. Yours looks like the handle on mine. Still love it today and the handle is still solid. It’s worn so smooth from use.

This guy is great. My only intention was to swap a damaged left front wheel on farmall super A from another parts super A . After looking at this video, I ended up replacing the bearings on the replacement left wheel as well as the right wheel. Now I have new bearings and grease on both front wheels. It took some time and reviewing the video, but I took my time and am satisfied I have it right.

Packed many sets of bearings for dad - just about everytime we got a new used car.

Danny is doing it right with new races and all. This is an automotive or industrial type of bearing, made for high speed highway use for hours on end. A Cub is probably not going for a hundred miles in the next few years, so if you're learning from his video, I think you can have confidence you can do your own. I learned lots of things like this, often from a buddy or someone I worked for. CZcams videos don't watch you the first time to coach you, but if you make a mistake the first time, usually you get it right when you redo it. Best of luck, Danny is really good at demonstrating and explaining it.

If you need to replace bearings you can always take old bearings to napa and they will cross reference the number and usually have the bearings ,you might have done this already, some people think you have to order bearings for whatever brand of equipment.

today 5/20/23 i ran this video as i was going to repack the wheel bearings and just as happened with you, when i cleaned the inner bearing on the right side it fell apart. i went to the left side and the same bearing fell apart as i was removing the hub. and the hub is ate out inside. also same as you both sides spindles were welded to the steering arms.ive had it about 4 years and repainted it to my liking, but dont use it for anything so i let the welded parts be. i guess its dig in the piggy bank time. also i really like your videos.
