I haven't done a state of the (watch) collection video for a while. This is a review (or overview) of my watch collection. There are actually more Seiko watches than Rolex watches, and the large majority are tool watches - plus a few quartz watches.
Watches are:
- Rolex Submariner 50th Anniversary Kermit 16610 LV - better than the Hunk!
- Rolex Submariner No Date Sub 14060m
- Rolex Explorer 14270
- Grand Seiko SBGN001 9f quartz
- CWC G10 W10
- Casio G Shock DW5600
- Plus a hand full of Seiko 5 watches

What's missing from my collection?
Bark and Jack Omega ST1 haha, know how much you love it!
You have more Rolex than me!!!!!😉
Hope you and family are well. Love from Northern Ireland 🇬🇧
Sports Chrono.. I'll say no more
Cool, I think a you could use a chronograph, maybe something interdisciplinary but durable like the SUB 200 T.GRAPH from Doxa! I also have a 12 piece collection, think it is a great number as it allows you to keep a few pieces which you are not wearing frequently but have a lot of emotional value for you.
a HMT Janata with a Hindi dial! I have a few hmt's, love that you can buy them for a tenner! Citizen movements.
I love how B&J totally does his own thing in his own way.
nick4uuk thanks mate. 🙌🏻
@@BarkandJack nice comment and I agree. Little gay that he called you B&J, though. Lol
@@MT-kx2uc Not many I know enjoy buying 10 dollars watches off eBay to pull them apart as much as they might enjoy wearing a fine time piece for the day.
@@feedthefatrabbit1073 I was going to say BJ but decided that would be a step too far.
@@nick4uuk I'm glad you exercised some restraint. 😂
I'm from India and I was pleasantly surprised to see an HMT in the collection. My dad used to have one as well.
I wish hmt was still around
@@mooo9091 They're still available to purchase from the official website, I bought a new HMT watch with a display case back a couple of months ago.
WISDM BOP They are still available on their website. I bought 3 Hmt kohinoors a few months back.
I beamed myself when that bit came up.
It's a very good looking watch!
Really enjoyed this, the genuine enthusiasm shines through. Beautiful diverse collection and it just proves that a watch doesn’t have to be expensive to be interesting and/or cherished. Great channel
I took a drink each time you said, "the watch I connected with the most".
So you are quite drunk, are you not?
I remember every video that featured most of your watches here. I dont remember you featuring the G-Shock, the gold Seiko 5 and the HMT, while the Mondaine and the CWC were only casually referenced in videos about project watches and EBay, i believe. What i remember the most was you freezing your bum off talking about your vintage Omega Seamaster. Its inspiring seeing your channel grow.
To date your Seikos, all you have to do is look at the first 2 number of the serial on the caseback. The first number is the year (i.e., 1 = 2001 or 2011), and the second number is the month of that year (0 = october, N = november, D = december). Hope this helps. Looking forward to more B&J videos!
I'm not on here for the hair, i'm here for the Wrangler
Haha.
The Watch Colonel I wish. 🤣
This shirt is 🔥😂
I love your collection. I love that you have watches just to play with and that you mod watches to make them the way you want . Personally, I don't think anything missing from your collection other than a different watch that strikes your fancy. The thing I love about your channel is how down to earth, straightforward and honest you are Adrian - something that hasn't changed as you have increased your production quality and as channel has grown. - I continue to look forward to everyone of your videos - Thank you 😊👍
I remember first seeing that Grand Seiko in your collection. Immediately fell in love. It's just gorgeous, and I also really love the 9F movement!
I knew that youd be selling that grand seiko back when you bought it.....at least you tried something different so props to you
Love that “Arabic” Seiko 5, I’ve looked at that one a time or two.
thanks for the awesome video, I actually just watched your 2019 collection and was wondering if you had one for 2020 yet... perfect timing!
Showing your collection it's like a open book, thanks for sharing ! ❤️
You're missing a chrono (you may say you arent a chrono guy but everyone says that until they are one!), they are very tactile and you will enjoy one when it's on your wrist often. Anyone that enjoys a Seiko 5 fidget spinner will enjoy using a Chrono! Not a moonwatch cos it feels too similar to your mostly black sub and Expy. I'd think abt the Zenith 38mm El Primero Revival or the a384?
Seeing an HMT in your collection was the highlight for me.. .that's dope.
I just love your collection and your way of thinking about watches
I bought a Nato strap from the shop and I think it’s really cool the way you sign each of them personally !
Great video Adrian. I enjoyed finding out what you liked about your watches.
Clever bit with the transition to plug B&J leather and NATO straps back-to-back. 😎
AmishNinjaMaster thanks buddy. 👍🏻
The watches you have regretted selling and buying .. great vid nice to see watches that dont break the bank
Great video Adrian, thanks for sharing your collection and stories with us 👍🏻🙏🏻
I have watched over six of your videos within the past two days after discovering your channel. I really enjoyed your collection and thank you for sharing it with us! I also enjoyed your video on the Glasshüte vs Rolex, and if it were not for that video, I'd have never heard of that watchmaker! And I totally dig your philosophy in that video.
The ORIS 65 video was also refreshing! Even though I am an avid Tudor Watch fanboy, it is really refreshing learning about other watchmakers and the history separating each watchmaker! I have subscribed to your channel and I'm looking forward to learning as well as studying your previous content! Great work!
Interesting watch collection you have Adrian, that Kermit is looking stunning as ever! Funny that you mentioned "if I was a one watch person?". That's what I was thinking of doing, I am selling all my watch collection (mostly Orises), probably I need to save up a bit as well - I thinking of getting a Rolex explorer and that's going to be my only watch and I am going wear it all the time.
I'm from India and I've that exact hmt Kohinoor. I brought that a couple of years back as my first mechanical watch. I got hooked and now I've 4 of hmts. Hopefully I'll get a Seiko soon.
I'm super happy that you've one in your collection
What Seiko?
Seiko skx 013, couple of 5s to begin with
Recently found Bark and Jack, great channel, congratulations Adrian. Really engaging content and delivery. I am going through a quantum shift with my watch collection. Downsizing in number and general case size. I have three daughters and I want watches suitable to pass to them in the future but, being passionate about watches, I need to enjoy the collection first for a good few years before my girls get them. Quite a challenge but concluded that 36mm case size is the sweet spot as a genuine unisex piece.
Great content man. keep it up!
When are you getting a Reverso? An Omega sometime? Keep the reviews coming.
Adrian you have a Rolex explorer? You should have mentioned!😂😂 Only joking, what a stunning collection:)!
Jake Harvey haha.
Can you do another ‘2nd hand buyers guide’ please? Possibly going through what you would look for when buying a watch online? (I’m after an explorer 114710)
I really like your collection, I will look into that Rolex you have there. Thank you for sharing and keep those vids coming. You are awesome and keep safe.
Omega Seamaster. Will bring you joy Adrian, I’m sure of it ! Thanks for this video, interesting to see your collection 👍
Your reaction to GS is the same one I have. I love the technology, the finish, the whole concept behind them... but I just never connected with them. Went to the store 3 different times to look at 3 different GS's including a high-beat and spring drive... and ended up with a Seamaster 41mm with a blue dial.
I'm from India and that HMT made my day!
I love the Arabic Seiko 5, I'm planning to get one pretty soon! Thanks for sharing your collection!
thx your collection and videos are enjoyable
..apart from that I'd love to see more Omega appear, not necessarily in the collection, but on the channel. Feel like they've taken movement standards to a new level, not on finishing, but on sheer capability
Yes, it's as if Mr. Adrian lives in a world where the new Omega Seamaster Professional doesn't exist. I've always wondered why.
what capabilities? can you be precise?
@@doperdr the anti-magnetism as standard, the METAS timing standards, the shock resistance, all things most omega watches off as standard whilst Rolex still have a Milguass in their line
@@RobW1170 but there are brands like iwc and zenith breitling etc who do things way better than omega too. so omega capalities are not something to highlight.
zenith watches are 30000 gaus while omegas are near 15.
omega chronos dont have water resistance while breitling chronos alhave 100mt.
iwc has much better shock resistance that any omega and zenith has 2300 precision awards much better than omegas self certification.
OMG I literally just watched the previous State of the Collection today!
LOL! What a fraud! He got called out for having 3 Rolexes and 1 GS last collection video. So he bought a few cheapies to avoid being called out for being a Rolex fanboy. He is soooo transparent! He bought these just to do this video. Playing the role of the common man. i will bet these aren't even his. AC3 is right about him. He recommends garbage watches on his channel and used the money to buy Rolex.
love your content and the grand Seiko. Really on the lookout for the same one you have. keep up the good work!
Love seeing your project watches, especially the final Seiko. I recently had my late dads Seiko Bell Matic refurbished by The Watch Guy based near Gloucester. It hadn’t run for 42 years, had a broken crystal and I now have a beautiful sun burst blue dial Bell Matic that works and runs... just need to find a vintage bracelet now... great video as always.. 👍🏼
I typically dislike the "tick" of a quartz watch, but for some reason the tick of the GS looks more precise. I can't wait to see the video of its movement.
I know what you mean. The 9F movement makes me enjoy the tick in an odd way. It’s so precise.
@@BarkandJack How much is that Grand Seiko watch worth approx. bud?
I believe GS's quartz movements tick twice per second. So it's very smooth and accurate looking
I think there’s two issues with the Grand Seiko. 1) the yellow 2) the hands aren’t sporty, they look dressy
Wow these are all very inspiring! Will definitely look into adding them to our collections
It's refreshing to see some love for Quartz!
Actually mate I was supprised your collection was quite light, was expecting a tonne of luxury watches however it was great to see a good ballance of affordable quality watches.
Maybe missing a Chrono or 2?
I have 4 watches I have connected with, the 2020 Alpinist, Oris Aquis 39, Gshock 5610 and Seiko Flighty. I am looking for a formal Chrono and will probably go for the Speedmaster in a few years however I have a life goal which if I achieve before I am 50 then I will reward myself with an Explorer.......12 years to work on this goal 😉👍
Phirsst. Ive been waiting for this one!
Nice to hear the stories behind a collection. Thank you for sharing.
Just wondering where you might be headed next with the collection? Maybe a video of possible watches to come after lockdown? Maybe a video of something to do with actually buying a watch during lockdown and things to consider? I dunno mate just throwing ideas out. Love the content by the way, keep up the good work!
The thing with an HMT is that legit, accurate HMTs are actually hard to find. I have one too, inherited it not that long ago. It's being serviced. I also wrote an article about it, which I think I shared with Adrian before. I think you should be lucky to own an authentic HMT in the first place, because they are rare, obscure, and you only get them either as "new - old - stock" or vintage.
How could you even survive a Tuesday, without a proper Speedy in your collection? :D
Adrian; I'm really digging your videos, this one is so informal and laid back that it invites the viewer to just hang out as it we are in the same room. Your presentation is devoid of "aires" which is why I've subscribed many times. My own collection is rather, outside of a 1972, 5513, four line Submariner, pedestrian consisting of 8 other pieces, nothing fancy but they have meaning to me and total +/- $2K USD. As with most things in life sheer price in $$ volume is not as important than what you like and what makes you happy.
Hey Adrian, kudos as always for your candidness in these videos👏 now on to the topic, I love your explorer and your sub no date is gorgeous above all on a strap.. in your shoes, I’d go Reverso for the next one! Dressy, classic, timeless, understated 🔥
Interesting... I have a box full of storied watches and yet I never consider them part of my "collection" because I don't wear them. Guess I need to rethink what the term "collection" means to me.
I have those type of storied watches as well, and I also don't really think of them as my collection. Though with that said I can understand why Adrian covered them as they are watches and he does own them.
Personally I have been putting them out around the house, kind of decoratively. It's kind evokes a memory or a story like a picture in a frame does for me, and I figured it's nice to see them through out the day. Though I suppose to people who don't know those stories will think I just leave watches around everywhere in the house...
"It's not all Rolex" made me to watch this video. Please don't disappoint me!
@@powerplay.556 😂😂😂
Drop the GS and get that Oversea’s you’ve always wanted man!! Great vid 🤙🏼
I love your work Sir! Great video. Great content!
I did not see your Christopher Ward C60 GMT in the video!
Zeus Romanetti I did a give away with that watch as it was given to me.
The batman is missing, my friend. You shouldn't have sold it.
It's just a watch. No biggie.
Thanks Adrian, nice honest review. Longines VHP for me, but I’m now obsessed by accuracy 🥴. Woe is me....
The HMT was a pleasant surprise, great video BTW.
You could go for a spring drive and sell the grand Seiko you have.
Agreed - SD is something you can't get anywhere else and it is a genuinely cool movement. You can see it too just looking at it, with the completely smooth sweep. And the fact you can see it on the dial really counts. If he wants HAQ again, Citizen's Chronomaster has always been superior to 9F, especially caliber A060. Cheaper too! Just don't order one now because Japan Post is not delivering abroad.
@@johnanth yes they are
WIS: Don't put leather straps on divers!
Panerai: Hold my beer...
Also Squale: hold my Peroni
Great Vid! love these, and catching up and seeing how the seiko and the Sub were moved on later! love Subs! not sure I would move mine on, maybe for a Pepsi?!
Miss your vids man! be safe nice collection!
Everybody bought the Rolex just for the resell value.that’s all.
That’s a lot of steel. Time to add a gold stunner!
Greetings. I've finally summed up your vids in as consise a way as I can.
It's refreshing to see and hear a no nonsense, no pretentious delivery to your passion for time pieces. You aren't a typical rolex boy - I've seen plenty of videos on CZcams where judgements are made to 'mainstream' and 'working class' people wearing rolexes, spoiling the exclusivity of them. You have a down to earth approach and I salute you for appreciating many other brands.
I have quite a few glycines and armand nicolets and adore the aesthetics of them despite them being seen as low quality, entry level watches. I can't be wrong, after all, you can't argue with preference!
Maintain the quality videos Adrian
Mike D
@Soinas Doyi I agree. Nice dial, not too fussy. Easy to see the detail.
Thanks so much Mike for watching and I’m glad you like the style. 👍🏻
I really like that Grand Seiko. The movement is truly remarkable. The yellow is a nice touch too
He kept going Rolex but saw your comment so I skipped forward. I wear an sbgn007. The yellow could only be that gaudy one.
Great array of watches, I do think the Kermit was the best thing Rolex ever done. Unfortunately hype has made that watch a bit of a( stuck in a safe) watch. Shame really. I find the Hulk quit ugly, and looks like your trying to hard to look flash. Hard to believe you bought that for just over 5 grand, only 3 years ago. What has been going on. Rick
The price is crazy on the Kermits now. They certainly aren’t worth over £10k.
Never loved that GS either. For all its worthy aspects, it just looks dull!
Man loving your collection, the Arabic dial Seiko is very sweet!
Inspired me to look for interesting watches to add to my collection, does not need to be expensive just something you like.
I needed a hair cut when “Lockdown” hit, a month into it and I handed my wife a sharp pair of scissors and asked her to cut my hair 😱. Now at least I don’t look like a homeless person, just look like a prisoner out on work release 😆😆😆.
😂
:)) :)) :))
You've got Swiss, you've got Japanese, but I see you don't have anything from Germany?
Yes Adrian - get something from Germany!
Get a nomos just for lols
... or go for a Sinn, maybe? ;)
Might watch to see some Lange
Agreed... Adrian needs a Nomos or Stowa. The Marine Classic 36 with the manual movement would complement the collection well.
Great collection Adrian. I especially love the Explorer ref 14270. My favorite would be the ref 1016 but what is not to love with the 14270. Thanks and enjoy. Brian
Thanks Brian. I really want a 1016, they are amazing. But just so expensive.
2:55 - Adrian living the life of an OG! Here in London we don't play lol. Be safe :)
Something on a jubilee bracelet - too many oyster. How about a bund on the CWC?
totally feel you on the Explorer, such a perfect watch!!
A great versatile collection 👍 I’ve just ordered a Stowa Partitio to add to my collection, it surprises me that German watches often get overlooked
I got the gray-dialled LE version!! 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼😃😃😃
There's a seiko date finder online. Google "seiko date" and it's the top result.
You need some Omega in your life.
Love your collection!!
Nice collection Adrian , honest and modest
Thanks Craig. 👍🏻
A blue dial? Come on stop being such a fuddy duddy. 😉
'I was getting recognised"
Sure you were mate
Give it time buddy. Your 4 subs might become 40k one day, then you'll start to get recognised too.
Well done Adrian you the man
Great video, really interesting-unique stuff.
Still to much Rolex. Boring, overhyped.... for people that just dont know
What brands are for people that know?
@@mikejones-dx8bx anything not mainstream and commercialized that requires some study...? For sure the Rolex "Killy" would not be nicknamed like that if more people knew Killy wore a 765CP Breitling for the Olympics. But Rolex is very good to make a sales pitch and that is what they are mostly good at :). You want a diver? Get a: Doxa, Favre Leuba, Certina DS, Eterna, Eberhard,... You want a motosport chrono? Get a: Hand wound autavia or the first 68'automatic or Zenith A386,... or whatever else from the smaller brands with V72. The best daytona there was had an ElPrimero anyway 🤣
Really nice, interesting collection. Enjoyed the video. I was surprised there wasn't an Omega or Oris in the collection.
Look at his room, clean and organized. He is a good man!
Brilliant Adrian great video. For your collection I think either a omega or maybe Kat's (from Tenn and Two) new Tudor Black Bay!! Now that's a cool watch.
It's crazy how little control we have with what watches we connect with, I can't explain it. I've had multiple watches over the years from Rolex to Tissot, and the watch I connected with the most is the Tag Aquaracer CAF2010. I don't know why, it's hardly popular nor expensive, but I just enjoy wearing it so much and i think it's beautiful. I like the anonymity of it too, as i tend to feel conscious wearing a Daytona or a Submariner in public, particularly in London. Anyway, great video, nice collection.
Fantastic collection!!! 😍
Good to see them again, for what it’s worth my favourites are the GS and the SKX. Yep that’s right the GS because it is awesome and the SKX because you made me buy one when you we’re modding yours, (seems like ages ago). I was not expecting much when I ordered it, but loved it and still love it to bits (almost as much as you love the explorer!). 😉
Love the collection!
A refreshing change from a Hodinkee SOTC vid. I like the fact that you put stock in a watch's origins, or how and why you came to own it. That GS is unbelievable, accurate to 5s a year...wow; and it hits every minute on the track bang on, I'd keep it too. I have three watches, hardly a collection, and I love them all. Each has a story to them, each has different qualities, and each brings a smile to my face. Surely that is enough!
Indeed I am not a Rolex fan but you have great pieces. You GS GMT is superb !!!! Thanks for sharing and stay safe !
What´s great about your collection and your take on them is that you are not at all a watch snob and have eBay project watches to Seikos, Grand Seiko and Rolexes. Great attitude for sure as I do have an eclectic collection of watches which may not have great pedigree, but which I personally like...like you, some I wear and others I keep as sentimental favorites.
Awesome vid, Adrian. In regards to your GS, how long do you normally give yourself to connect with the watch before you consider moving on from it?
You love that explore man lol got a few nice pieces.
Thinking about buying an explorer but thought I'd buy a rep for a year to see if It will be a keeper. I bought a bp factory 3130 and they have a great dial and 904l. I hope I like it.
Nice collection Adrian
The tick on the Grand Seiko ist just beautiful to watch.
Love your channel
expectedly cool collection. I have not yet reached Rolex, butCasio 5610, Seiko 5 of my year of birth 1981, SKX mod and Sarb 33 will definitely stay in my collection too. thanks Adrian for the cool “live” review👍👏
