    The results?
    Well... a TON of similarities!
Today, according to the teachers I interviewed, we cover the top four differences between General Education and Special Education.
All of the responses are interesting... but there's one, in particular, I find very telling...
HINT; It's number three on our list! Which does NOT have to do with the IEP

Been special educated until I asked to get taken out when I arrived to high school. For insecurity reasons I hid away from general educated people. Years after years, until high school. The general were in classes with large groups and attractive females. My class throughly 1st - 8th grade merged with other classes. I remember once a girl asked me “why are you in that class. Killed my spirit😐… but as I grew I up I realized that a lot of us are different. Back then people would shame you. But in 2021 it seems people are trying to be different now. Us special folks were born differently. We learn differently. We don’t try we just are.

What you say is so true. I was not diagnosed with ADHD until I was in my sixties. And I always felt bad, but I never gave up. I will be 70 years old and I am studying for my Nursing test.

I was in special Ed my whole life. Because I had emotional problems and adhd. I hated my self for it because I wanted to be in the normal classes and general ed kids teased me for being in special ed but my disability was to much for me handle a regular class. But twords the end of high-school I accepted my disability for what it was and there was nothing wrong with that. And I found that ther where many students who where like me. And there was nothing 4 me to be ashamed of

When I was in elementary school, there was a special needs student who was severely disabled and in a wheelchair. She was NOT in a Special Education classroom but in the General Education classroom because the mother just insisted she be.
They finally ended up transferring her out based on the fact that her needs were simply just too much to handle. She NEVER should’ve been there with all honesty.

It really depends on what their Individualized Education Plan (IEP) goals are.
As soon as seniors graduate high school, the IEP’s expire.
